  1. Haven’t gotten a chance to look into it but I do know that it was a data dump day of cases that were accumulated over the past 3-4 days. I read it was a rather large data dump. Percent positive rate is lower this week than last so I’m guessing that prevalency is beginning it’s crest. Still a ways to go, Texas, Arizona and California as a whole all seem ahead of Florida. But aside from Arizona, those three states are so large and the populations are somewhat spread out in different population zones, my hunch is that they won’t have it crushed and burnout like NY but will most likely trend lower on a less steep decline as what we saw with NY.
  2. More of what we were talking about. —— A study led by the La Jolla Institute detected T cells that reacted to SARS-CoV-2 in about half of stored blood samples collected between 2015 and 2018, suggesting that the immune system cells developed after previous infection with circulating common cold coronaviruses, and that they might help protect against the new virus. "It is a potentially encouraging piece of evidence," Wherry said. ——-
  3. If that indeed is the case then most certainly Phoenix is within that 15-20% burnout range which if the cresting signs are bearing out would be supportive of that.
  4. Yes I saw that last week. I was going to post about it. This is truly something else, it shows that overall deaths from all causes are less than what they normally are COVID or no COVID. I wonder if that is just a small statistical blip. Hmmm. I'm going to need to put some thought into that. That is a very interesting theory and I think you may be on to something. Because we do know that the average age of the COVID death is 81 with 2.7 comorbidites, which means that many already had one foot in the grave. It would make sense that the Virus accelerated their death by a few months which could plausibly explain why you are seeing less overall deaths. Essentially it front loaded the deaths. They were paid forward. I hadn't thought of that. Good stuff LB3. I need to have that marinate for a bit and see if I can poke some holes into that theory.
  5. I agree. Just needs to channel his focus.
  6. I look back at the George Floyd and CoronaVirus early response from a PR and communication level and they should have been easy layups. Show empathy, pretend to be a human and then take care of business with rule of law and the COVID response. Rather than that, he shows very little empathy, everything always circles back to him and he gets in these infantile squabbles with people who aren't important. It's ok for that schtick with his base during times when the economy and things are going well, it's another when times of crisis are occurring. He still has time to turn this around, he just has to have a laser focus on his campaign and stop getting sucked in to these stupid skirmishes with people who are of no significance and stop with that stupid damn tweets. Not to say don't tweet, but only tweet things that advance his agenda. I'm still going to vote for him because the elections are that important and he, the senate and the courts are the last checks against this Maoist cultural revolution.
  7. I agree, they need someone who is credible who can properly explain the risks....And those risks need to be explained over and over and over. But they won't do that. Trump wants to focus on the economy. Their communication strategy and the person at the top (Trump) are not meant for this sort of thing, which is to on one hand show empathy and on the other clearly explain things. Instead they try to deflect, minimize things by citing half-baked reasoning and what you have is a public who doesn't approve of how he has handled the crisis.
  8. This issue of hospitalization data filtering through HHS rather than CDC to streamline their process most likely has a tinge of truth to it. But I also believe it is their frustration along with Dr. Birx with the CDC. I don't believe they are happy with how they assess the data and truth be told they have reason to be skeptical. With that said, I also believe so that they want to have more control of the narrative and having the data allows them some more control.
  9. I have an 11 year old and another that is 4 that will be attending her first year of school.
  10. ?? Usually teachers as a whole are admirable but they have been embarrassingly bad with what is going on. I hope that the teachers step up, trust the data and science and do what is right for their students. Because right now, they are failing them.
  11. It's freaking lunacy. The demands from the Los Angeles teachers union was even worse and may as well have been a wish list by Marxist communists.
  12. This is only like at least the 10th different study that shows that the Virus either doesn't spread among children or at a much lesser rate.
  13. Are you ***** kidding me??? You leftists have got some gall Revisionist history clearly is popular among you guys. In any case this is newsworthy. Looks like the positivity rate is lower than what has been reported.
  14. God, I hope not! I would say that no way that could happen but you can never underestimate the power of stupidity from the media and politicians.
  15. Boom! I think this plays in neatly with what we have been discussing. I was going to write a post about this and maybe when I have more time I will. The degree of variables and ever-changing circumstances on the ground are unfathomably high that determine outcomes. This is virus like most things on just about every variable and outcome operate on spectrums. Too often people like to view things in black or white terms but like most things, it's more complicated than that. With that said, I will make a prediction. That COVID-19 will be with us for many many years. Within about a year or so it will become one of the many coronavirus flu's that hit our population but there will be so much T cell immunity along with the vaccines that it will have similar effects as your seasonal flu. If I have to I will. But I don't see that happening. If it's not mandated, then we won't initially take the vaccine. But I will encourage my parents to do so, not that they need encouraging.
  16. They are all bad. FOX and Breitbart are a counter creation because of the media. Without a biased mainstream media, you wouldn't have FOX or Breitbart. Now they are a necessary evil to counter balance the media. The whole institution needs to be ripped from its roots.
  17. I've railed on the media for years, but it's gotten disastrously bad and is now is irreparable. The mask is completely off now in the age of "Resistance journalism". Are you familiar with the story of Ted Bundy? Even though he murdered many people while behaving like your typical sociopath over many years, he at least pretended in public to be a normal likable guy. Then once he was caught and then escaped and fled to Florida and went on that murdering rampage at the Chi Omega sorority in Tallahassee. He became a complete animal and at that stage, he knew the jig was up and he was just going to unleash his inner animal for all to see. That's how I view the media. They pretended to be the friendly sociopath and when the jig was up, they took off the mask and out came the psychopath Tallahassee Ted Bundy.
  18. Whatever reemergence they go through won't whiff what they went through before. There may be a surge of infections but the deaths won't be a 1/10th of what it was. Shameful. But what do you expect from the media when they are trying to out-stupid each other with panic porn.
  19. This seems noteworthy This is an epic gaslighting campaign that politicians and the media are embarking upon.
  20. Advent health one of the largest hospital systems of Florida saying they are A ok
  21. Why are most of the leftists on this message board a bunch of idiots?
  22. Why? What happened in Texas?
  23. Yeah, but he's not a true Middle Linebacker or something like that.
  24. Another potential sign that Arizona is cresting.
  25. Deaths lag as you know. It was painful watching the positive green chutes data initially appear with NY city but to have the deaths lag weeks. Plus all the legacy delayed data collections and those that were hospitalized for months before dying still take time to filter through. But yes, I agree you would think 2-4 weeks we should begin seeing deaths peak in Arizona.
