  1. And to think that there was a strong contingency on this board that were willing to let him walk if he didn’t sign for less than $15m a year. Beane is a great negotiator and got Cook for a great deal but if it would have taken $15m a year he would have been worth every penny of it. Be honest, and I really like Shakir, who is more valuable to this team? Shakir or Cook?
  2. For all the chicken littles
  3. Apparently after film review he played a lot better than what people think. This is the third opinion I have read now from people who reviewed the film post game.
  4. It did work, we scored over 30 points, Passing game was extremely efficient with over a 130 QB rating with over 160 yards rushing and no turnovers. You guys live in some weird bizarro world
  5. It's always the same people who blame the lack of passes down the field because "The WR's can't separate". They're flat out wrong in terms of why that is happening, it's happening by design. There has been a very intentional philosophical and execution change since Brady has taken over the offense and that is to be a team that can play physical, win at the line of scrimmage and throw the ball into areas that are less prone for turnovers and it has worked!
  6. Over the years I have learned to not get as frustrated about fans behaviors, typically they are very emotional and irrational, but to criticize the #1 offense in the league in many metrics, a team that wins, a team that is balanced, a team that doesn't turn it over, a team that scores a lot, a team who is consistent whether its in the regular season or playoffs is just beyond stupid.
  7. It's beyond silly hearing people bash the Bills offense like it’s been some kind of disaster. If you’re one of those folks, — you’re just showing your lack of knowledge. Let’s talk facts: #1 in total offensive yards — that means we move the ball better than any other team in the league. #2 in points Scored — our offense is putting up big time points on the board #1 in not giving up turnovers — You may think it's boring, but this is how you win games. #1 in 30+ points per game since last year in the league - meaning we are consistently beating the crap out of opposing defenses. #2 in TIme of Possession - against the Ravens we had it for 34 minutes 49 seconds, against the Jets for 38 minutes and 21 seconds and against the Dolphins for 31:47 for an average of 34 minutes and 41 seconds. #3 Rushing attack in the league at 166 ypg Red zone offense is at 71.43% which means we get to the Red zone and we are putting in the endzone. Now let’s rewind to last season: We were top 2 in scoring, top 5 in yards, and top 5 in third-down conversions. Josh Allen was top 3 in total touchdowns. We had one of the most balanced and explosive offenses in the NFL. So when people infer the offense is boring or the receivers don't get "separation" - all I hear is - "I don't know jack squat about what a successful football team looks like" it’s just lazy talk. I think some of you would prefer a team like the Bengals who throws the ball 40 times a game to WR's. How did that work out for them last year? You’re ignoring the numbers and reacting emotionally. Bottom line: this offense is elite.
  8. If nothing unforeseen happens, Hawes is very likely going to be a 10+ year TE in this league. The thing aside from him already being a top tier blocking tight end is that he has good hands and he is surprising mobile with the ball. The emergence of Hawes most likely spells the end of Knox's future with the Bills unless he drops his salary below $5M a year.
  9. Some of you guys are a real hoot. - Points Scored: The Bills are ranked 2nd in points per game with 35.5. • Offensive Yardage: The Bills offense is ranked 1st in total yards per game with 450 ypg • Passing Offense: The Bills are ranked 3rd in passing yards per game with 287 ypg • Running Offense: The Bills are ranked 2nd in rushing yards per game with 166.0 ypg • Red Zone Offense: In a recent ranking, the Bills were listed as 1st in "Red Zone Plus/Minus" with a score of +24. This ranking, however, is based on an Athlon Sports metric. The team also ranks 9th in red zone scoring percentage (TD) with a rate of 71.43%. - 0 turnovers ranked 1st in the NFL You guys are just embarrassing yourselves
  10. But our wide receivers can’t separate
  11. I'd assume this to be the case as well UNLESS he has truly demonstrated a mastery of the game and earned the confidence of McD/Beane.
  12. Even if the Bills had paid Cook $15M a year it would not be determinant for the Bills retaining those guys. This isn't an either/or situation.
  13. Yeah! Totally worth all the money he was paid and some! You don’t quibble over a couple million and let them potentially walk like many were willing to do when you have a certified playmaker. Glad we have him locked up for the next few years.
  14. Many game balls for this one. Josh Allen - Best player in the NFL Offensive line - Did a great job pass blocking, I think early on Josh felt that he needed to get the ball out quickly because he thought that he needed to. But once he realized that he actually had more time to throw the ball then he initially thought he didn't just have to dink the ball behind the LOS like he was. Keon Coleman - He's a baller, if it wasn't for his injury last year he would have had a much better year. He doesn't need the separation that other receivers needs, he just need to continue working his craft, stay healthy and the numbers and impact will be there. The Tight ends - All three of them did well blocking and making their impact felt catching the ball at important times and areas in the field. Could end up becoming the best Tight end room in the NFL Ed Oliver - He was simply unreal. 7 tackles, 3 TFL, A sack, a few pressures (including the last third down the Ravens offense had in the game) and of course the huge PLAY MAKING caused fumble on King Henry. That's why he was worth every bit of that $17M a year contract. Bosa - Yeah, he was getting fooled early on those Lamar option runs and he didn't have any real numbers but he made his presence felt on a couple drives that contributed to the Ravens having stalled drives. If he stays healthy he's going to be a really good addition. Prater - He came through like a true professional. I don't know why but I felt more at ease with him kicking the ball than when Bass kicks. Joe Brady - Keeping the offense humming.
  15. It appears to me that the Bills made a tactical decision to prioritize pass rushing DT's this year, and I'm for it and that is what would be needed against teams like the Chiefs, however I always thought that they needed to go after a highly effective big-bodied run stuffing 1 technique this year and they didn't do that. The rookie Walker has the frame but he's not a true 1 technique. The team that is being built right now has the Chiefs in mind, but clearly the Ravens have their way with the Bills interior defensive lineman.
  16. It's always the same ninny's with the same tired arguments yet the offense keeps plugging away historic-like numbers. The offense will just continue to keep burying defenses.
  17. Yeah, that read that way didn't it? I should have said from a Dallas fans perspective.
  18. At $47M a year, it's really hard to justify that kind of money for a non-QB. Getting to $40M was already a big leap, but now pushing toward $50M — especially when you're already paying top-tier contracts to CeeDee Lamb and Dak Prescott — it's just not sustainable. And let’s be honest, the current formula wasn’t working anyway. I’ve felt for over a year now that this team needs to rebuild. They should seriously consider trading Dak after this season and start fresh. Micah is an elite pass rusher and letting go of playmakers is never easy, but there’s a point where the price is just too high. When you’ve got $155M+ AAV tied up in just three players, it’s nearly impossible to build a complete roster. As a Dallas fan, yeah, it sucks to see a guy like Micah walk. But sometimes you have to do what’s best for the organization long-term. Jerry’s handling of this was clumsy and it’s going to spark a lot of backlash — especially with Micah gone — but I honestly think it was the right move.
  19. Bingo
  20. It’s painfully obvious that Those who claimed that Ladd is just a slot guy were typecasting him as such. Dude can ball out no matter where he lines up.
  21. The deal was inevitable and it's a good fair valued deal for both sides. Buffalo retains their playmaker and Cook gets the financial security he wanted at fair market value. It's not an over or underpay. Bills had to get a deal done and they had the leverage the entire time. You just don't let playmakers leave your organization and Cook is without doubt the 2nd best skilled offensive player behind Josh Allen. Glad the deal got done!
