He was a borderline adequate player before the injury so he doesn't have room to lose explosiveness. Coming back from two achilles tears and then actually improving would be one for the journal. I wish him the best but it seems pretty grim.

Too much already invested in young DEs. Maybe they pickup a veteran but I can’t see them drafting another one in the first round. At thins point, I would guess: DT WR G/C

A parting slap in the face.

This is what they are saying in New England Land

I noted that during the game too. The Bills thought the DB matching up with McKenzie would have trouble with him and it was obviously a big part of their game plan. The pass protection made it possible to exploit. Good game planning by Daboll. Good execution on the field. -
Do the Bills have any 2007/2011 Giants playoff run in them?

Good luck beating KC to make it to the Super Bowl this season 1) they have the best team in the AFC 2) they are playing their best football right now 3) they have home field throughout 4) they have championship experience -
He played well today and always plays hard, but he definitely has his limitations.

Defense: let’s grade and comment your grade

B- Predictable. Pass defense was solid. Run defense was weak. Pats couldn't break any huge plays today, which helped, but they were also 5 for 5 on 4th downs and averaged 5.5 yards per carry. They did enough to win but the offense was the real key. -
Man, the window closed fast. More like a camera shutter than a window.

Nickel or 5-2 ? Shotgun or under center ? Let’s debate.

You can be sure that they will have a different game plan you saw in the previous game. For different weather conditions if nothing else. And I'm sure PA will be a big part of it. Jones does that well and the Bills have been vulnerable to it. If they hand off on every play they could just go 5-3 or a 6-2 if they want to stay in the even front. But that's not going to happen this week. NE will be far more balanced. -
Dion Dawkins, Stefon Diggs named to Pro Bowl

You’re right. Not sure what the problem is. -

I can see why Poyer gets snubbed. He kind of splits the votes of people who like the Bills D with Hyde and he doesn’t get many interceptions so he doesn’t really flash on the highlight reels. But he’s an excellent safety. -
Well, unless the NFL cancels the game due to Covid, they're going to kick it off at 1pm regardless of who is available on the OL so the Bills better be ready. If it's Spencer Brown again at LT then I hope they have a plan to give him a little more help than they did last week.
-
Again, he was their swing tackle so he should have been at least somewhat ready. If they really had absolutely no backup plan in case their starting LT went out other that to throw a rookie RT over there "hours before the game" with minimal preparation then some coaches need to be fired.
-
I keep reading that Brown should never have been put at LT, but wasn’t he the Bills “swing tackle” coming out of preseason? It was not a tough choice. He was obviously not ready, but that’s due to an overestimation of his current ability, IMO.

Three things (good and/or bad) you take from this game
vincec replied to Italian Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall
1. Obada and Davis played like they had something to prove. 2. The Bills need Dawkins back badly for next week. 3. Allen is amazing to play the way he does with no blocking. -

Almost? -
I agree. If you watch the Vince Lombardi documentary on ESPN you can hear Frank Gifford saying how many Giants players laughed at Lombardi and didn’t take him seriously for treating the players like college kids when he first joined the team. He needed time to adjust his methods and admitted so. Even good coaches need adjustment time.

I don’t see any 3-4 LB position he can play. He’s not nearly a good enough pass rusher to play 3-4 OLB and not physical enough for a 3-4 ILB. He’s a 4-3 LB and the way the Bills use their LBs he plays OLB a lot already so switching him won’t be that big a difference. Not to mention that Milano is way better than him and they only play 1 OLB 90% of the time. He obviously can’t cover well enough to be a safety in this defense. Just look at the OT play. He is what he is: a slightly above average 4-3 LB VS the pass and slightly below average VS the run.

Leslie Frazier's interview Monday 12/13

I'm sure that adjustments were made, but I think part of the improvement was due to the Bucs dropping their intensity after they so easily raced out to such a big lead. -
He hasn’t shown anywhere near the pass rush skills to be a 3-4 OLB.

They have the fourth most expensive OL in the league according to Spottrac. How about picking better players and getting some decent OL coaching?
