  1. Do you really expect Chris Brown, who is a mouthpiece for the team, to put it out to the public that the Bills are interested? Why? So that they can tip off other teams and/or alert the 49ers as to the level of their interest?
  2. The Pats offensive game plan hasn't changed in 10 years. They're going to come out with the short passing game to soften up the front seven and then start mixing in more and more power running and downfield throws as the game progresses, and depending on situation. The Bills will need to tackle well in the secondary to limit YAC and shut the running game down when they go to it. If they can make Brady one dimensional then they have a chance. No matter what, the Pats are going to score some points so the Bills offense needs to get to 30 points in this game. It won't be easy with the injuries so they're going to need some luck and some help from special teams.
  3. Strange, I just saw that Chris Brown said that the Bills are super interested and would give just about anything to get Smith. At least, that's what Doug Whaley told him.
  4. I think the Pats are going to run it a lot more than people expect. Buffalo has a pretty small front 7 right now, without a true NT and with Alexander, Preston Brown and Zach Brown at LBs. They have quick, high energy guys but they are not that big and that was a major problem last week. You know that Belichik sees this and I'm sure we're going to see more of Blount that some might expect. If the Pats throw the ball 40 or 50 times I think the Bills have a great shot at winning actually, but the defense is going to have to work very hard to make them one dimensional.
  5. He probably wouldn't be utilized much more here with the Bills trying to run the ball 40 to 50 times per game. That's got to factor into his decision making, if he has any say.
  6. Obviously, he would be great but it sounds like there a fair amount of competition for him so we'll have to see. Can't mortgage the farm for him.
  7. Assuming 4-4, and 1-4 in the AFC, they will probably need to go 6-2 the rest of the way. So they need 2 of the other games you mentioned... and to run the table on the other games. I would say that the Steelers and the Jets on the road will be very tough as well. OTOH, if the could beat NE then their chances (and confidence) would pick up tremendously.
  8. As Lindy Ruff used to say, don't react... initiate. There were plenty of opportunities the rest of the game to hammer Landry.
  9. And what was his excuse the other five times in the OP? Greg Roman?
  10. He's pretty Fitz like in this respect. Strong with the lead but not someone who will lead you back very often.
  11. Can you imagine if the Bills swept the Pats*? lol.
  12. Certainly could have used him today. Douzable got abused. The Bills may have won this game with Marcel in the lineup.
  13. He was pissed today. It maybe one of the two good games he plays all year, but luckily we will get to see them both.
  14. He will get fined, but unless he has a previous history of this I doubt he will be suspended.
  15. Douzable- steamrolled in the running game. Miller- couldn't handle Suh at all Wood- couldn't handle Suh at all Taylor- played his worst when it counted most. A Lynn- played Shady when he wasn't ready and got him hurt again. Didn't run the ball enough. Didn't use Gillislee enough. Lots of goats today. Dolphins took it to them physically and the game plan was questionable.
  16. Let's hope they beat Miami first.
  17. The Bills did have the #1 rushing attack in the league last season too, both in total yards and yards per carry. Just saying.
  18. I agree. At least for one week. The OL is playing well. They will be able to run it with the other backs too. I agree about sitting McCoy but am wary of playing the fumbling Williams too much. The load needs to be shouldered by Gillislee and Bush.
  19. True. Now if someone could only find a way to get CJ Spiller into space...
  20. If you need a quote to get up to play New England that something is wrong with you.
  21. ok. Well, maybe you're right and you know what Marv meant better than him.
  22. Nope. From the man himself, quoted from an interview in 2015: “Bill Polian and I agreed when we first came together with the Buffalo Bills that we’d bring players only of high character to the team,” Levy said. “They are that. Now, we didn’t confuse that with personality. Some of them are very extroverted. Some of them are more laidback. Quiet. But they never placed blame on others. They always bounced back from disappointment. They showed up to work every day. Good family guys. Good citizens. They all cared about each other and they still do.” He was talking about total character.
  23. I think Marv would simply say character. "Football" character is the current version that allows fans to square the idea of signing delinquents while still maintaining a high character team.
  24. I would too if I could. Why speak to the media if you don't have too?
