  1. No other city offers the perfect storm of sports, food, and Canada right next door!!!!! What is Detroit famous for anyways food wise, what you find in a trash can?
  2. So, even though I love classic movies and think finding the year for movies is impossible (and I can't agree with 1939 as I didn't like Gone With The Wind or Stagecoach or the boring Wuthering Heights), I long for nostalgia and the year 1985: Back to the Future Rambo: First Blood Part II Rocky IV (A personal Rocky favorite, a great reflection of the times) The Color Purple Cocoon Witness The Goonies (Can't forget this boyhood gem) Spies Like Us (a true FORGOTTEN classic that is my favorite Aykroyd film after Blues Brothers) A View to a Kill European Vacation (So much fun despite knocks by critics) Fletch Pale Rider Brewster's Millions (Too much fun watching him spend the money) The Breakfast Club St. Elmo's Fire Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome Prizzi's Honor The Black Cauldron The Falcon and the Snowman Weird Science (Kelly Lebrock.... OMFG) Real Genius (You will never look at popcorn the same again) Clue (One of the most creative comedies of all time with different endings) Red Heat Death Wish 3 (not rated high but if you include Mr. Majestyk in a list then by GOLLY I'm including this movie!)
  3. That era is gone for the 99%, unfortunately, sir. Which reminds me, I would be neglecting this opportunity if I didn't get in a shameless plug for Jackie Mason, THE ULTIMATE JEW! http://www.youtube.com/user/theultimatejew?feature=results_main
  4. TELL me about it http://www.celebitchy.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/fp_5841555_williams_serena_brj_100410.jpg
  5. Now if they only had a Henry Russell "Red" Sanders III to coach their team, maybe they might win a national championship http://www.collegefootball.org/famer_selected.php?id=50097
  6. It just makes me very angry to know that some places are so underhanded... great list!!! I have 4 cats
  7. Are you sure???? http://www.cnn.com/2012/06/14/us/animal-charity-investigation/index.html NO ONE is really safe to donate to unless you know you can trust them.
  8. Still waiting on a contract for T.J. Graham I see... we need him signed in the worst way based upon the glowing reports of his work in camp.
  9. Don't forget the Old State House: http://www.bostonhistory.org/?s=osh Drive up 95 into southern Maine, get off at York Beach- there is an ice cream place on the other side of Route 1 there that is amazing (Brown's Old Fashioned Ice Cream), and the lobster rolls are the best. http://www.yelp.com/biz/browns-old-fashioned-ice-cream-inc-york Also, Parker's Maple Barn in Mason, NH is outstanding for breakfast. http://www.parkersmaplebarn.com/
  10. Serena Williams..... She should be much higher #1 is an absolute joke... the field hockey Olympian is MUCH hotter than the toothpick.
  11. Don't forget Linda McCartney, RIP... it is too bad he lost her when he did. Glad to see he moved past the Mills nonsense!!!
  12. Until Aaron Williams proves that he can remain healthy and actually ON THE FIELD, he's not a big upgrade IMO...
  13. I REALLY liked a majority of those... however... Packers- really weak and hard to see. 49ers- the 49 just looks too obscure. Chiefs- the worst one... do NOT like the KC. Colts- turn the horseshoe upright! LOL
  14. You should watch the Henry Hill documentary they had on the National Geographic Channel... it was great!! The movie was very true to his life which is rare, but the actor who played Henry Hill was pretty darn good. Here is extra footage (unfortunately without the scenes): http://video.nationalgeographic.com/video/national-geographic-channel/shows/locked-up-abroad-1/ngc-henry-hill-speaks/
  15. No, no more USC/Cal receivers... they tend to be overrated and have a couple of great seasons and then di s s a p e a r....
  16. I'm bucking the trend and going with Seattle... Russell Wilson is a gem of a QB who will succeed, and they already got a taste of the Super Bowl once, unlike the Lions or Texans, neither of which do anything in the playoffs.
  17. As a parallel to this fear of moving the Bills to Los Angeles if Banner did become owner, I give to you all Walter O'Malley and the Dodgers: http://articles.latimes.com/2009/mar/21/entertainment/et-book21 Quite an interesting synopsis, and a background of the story of the move of the Dodgers from Brooklyn to Los Angeles. Unfortunately, you can never get a complete idea as to who is the villain in stadium negotiations. Why take a chance? I say NO to the Banner idea and go with people with WNY ties who can get it done.
  18. Pittsburgh has to travel to Denver Week 1, then home vs. the Jests, then BACK to the West Coast at Oakland. THAT is far worse than what I saw- at least our West Coast games are back to back. As far as the Patriots* thing, NO EXCUSES ACCEPTED, NONE GIVEN. In order to be the best you have to beat the best- I consider it to be a playoff game mentality when we travel to NE.
  19. Leon Seals... too easy. http://articles.philly.com/1992-01-27/sports/26034829_1_leon-seals-super-bowl-xxvi-soap-opera Dusty Ziegler gets the big #2 vote in my book when he said he's resign with the Bills and then backed out for peanuts. F that guy... Billy Joe Hobert, absolutely as well.. you DON'T KNOW THE PLAYBOOK?!??!?!?!?!
  20. I vehemently disagree with you on the above two former Bills. Even though they didn't stay in Buffalo as FAs, this does not mean they should be disparaged as not being success stories, because they were good picks for us. It is not their fault that their market value was not offered by the Bills, they didn't have the sort of team to succeed with, or that their coaches left little to be desired. I will always look positively on Winfield and Clements, and they deserved better, just like some of the other Bills that had to endure all the mediocrity.
  21. EXACTLY!!!! Throw up a bomb with a strong-armed QB and the receiver wins EVERY TIME? That's too easy...
  22. Replacing Edwards was a big step forward, but he has to take the hit for putting him in the role of DC the first place, like Andy Reid has to account for his abysmal DC.
  23. That's totally not true, if you remember this Bills great... Biscuit #55 became #97, and so it can happen again, and again... nothing new.
  24. Good for you... the media's job is to create controversy number one, not to actually report on what is going on with regards to what happens on the field. I take about as much stock in what the media has to say as I do if it came from a used car salesman. I'll base my opinions on the performance of the car rather than what 'features' are shoved down my throat.
