Or playing a team that isn't even going to be in the Olympics...!
-
I worked in an NFL shop in the early 1990's, and a man and his friend came into look around. He saw the helmets cased on top of the displays, and mentioned he had played in the NFL. I asked him what it was like, and who he was- at this time he seemed to be a little slow and showed signs of playing the game in an era before advanced helmet protection. He turned out to be Clarence "Ace" Parker, a legend in the 30's and 40's. Now, this man who seemed to be affected by the NFL is STILL the oldest living NFL HOFer, amazingly now 100 years old. http://www.oldestlivingprofootball.com/oldestlivingproplayers.htm Where is Ralph Wilson on the list? At 93 he is 15th for pro football and 3rd for the HOF, and still going! What an amazing list.

Lombardi got rid of the players that didn't give a damn, and I know that story. We are talking about ONE player who is pretty worthless in situations that actually matter, and Lombardi would have gotten rid of him in a second. You can't make that comparison because in order to save the team, he had to lop off the cancerous parts, and we did that when Maybin went bye-bye.

Unusually negative Tim Graham on PFT

Be careful, don't criticize him too much- he might take all his toys and go home. -
Thank You / How is Wall Imprtant To You

I had to go down to the International Paper store and buy a copy of the Buffalo News to get any in-depth Bills coverage. After that, there was the alt.sports.buffalo.bills net server. After the internet began, there was the Rochester Democrat & Chronicle site, and then soon after TBD. That's how important TBD is!!!!! Yeah, I'm old. -
Former WR Josh Reed Slams Buffalo
EasternOHBillsFan replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Eric Moulds and Takeo Spikes didn't... they were from the Deep South... Josh Reed has the problem, not anyone else. -
No matter what he takes, no matter what he presses, no matter what he runs, his mental abilities will always be a hindrance. We're very lucky to have guys like Merriman and Barnett who GET IT and are mentally prepared week in and week out.

Has the left lane become the new right?

He was just stupid, obviously... chalk it up to someone not recognizing an obvious move. -
Can we, Will we use our TE's more?
EasternOHBillsFan replied to Astrobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Gotcha... but the numbers that do count show a lack of TE use that hurts us going forward- imagine the plays we can run if you scrap the wildcat and trick play nonsense (save the end around with Graham possibly?) and more use of the TEs. -
I prefer another name... I call him Number 90, because he loves it so much.

Did you even watch the Bills in the early 90's??? Do you realize how many catches our TEs had every year as compared to 2011? Thurman Thomas, Andre Reed, James Lofton, and Don Beebe got their receptions, and yet Metz managed to have 60+ balls thrown his way. It is a vital part of an offense that we are neglecting, and the point is a valid one! -
I'll hire Ruben Navarrette or Roland Martin.... they suck as writers. Yeah, that's the ticket!!!!
-
Not all jokes by comedians and writers are successful coming out of the creative process... all mine were raw ideas, uncensored, and so I expected some to suck.

OK, here are some I just made up: What is a Broadway performer's favorite steak place? The Porter House. The hors d'ouerves went on strike because they refused to take a cut in celery. The pastry chef refused to put up with the rude customer's crepe anymore. I lost my boxing match last night because the other guy beat me to the punch. What is the sweetest letter of the alphabet? The honeybee. Where does the measuring tape go to relax? By the yard. How did the tailor spend his last final seconds on Earth? He dyed laughing. How did the mathematician corner the market on geometry? He had all the right angles. Why did the lamp salesman get thrown in jail? He was into a shady business.

Has the left lane become the new right?

I thought when I moved to Baltimore they would not be here, but I was wrong- 295 has some on them, and during rush hour they are dangerous. -

There have been many times when I have traveled I-80 and I-81 only to be blocked by semis in both lanes so as to block the passing lane because they are traveling too fast for the grades and can't react with their brakes due to their speed. Instead of driving slower, they get into the left lane!! Sometimes, they inexplicably stay in the left lane going uphill. You can't pass if the left lane is blocked! -

Unfortunately, the very people that want the government out of our lives economically don't feel that way when it comes to that based on religious objections. Just sayin... -

Don't forget the merge lanes for oncoming and exiting traffic that are one in the same... very dangerous designs that plague HR. -

Agree to disagree; I'll accept that. -

Hate is all around us, like a cloud, and it is not going away, ever- it is human nature to hate people for reasons that for a logical mind seem to be illogical. We cannot come together to combat it unless the exclusive labels go bye bye. -

That's what I am trying to say! You can't be accepted if you are trying to declare that you are worthy of exclusive recognition based on X... I certainly don't care who anyone is, but I mean when does this all end, and we just become Americans? -

When we begin to point out assaults and other heinous crimes against various groups, we divide America. Then, the focus on the actual crimes is LOST because we are too busy trying to forge identities and expressing pride instead of solving the overall problem that some people out there are criminals and are inherently bad. So now we have Gay Pride, Black Pride, Latino Pride, Fat Pride, Short Pride, Bald Pride, Old Pride..... it sounds utterly RIDICULOUS. -

So now because there are physical assaults on homosexuals, that this justifies "Gay Pride"? Assaults aren't exclusive to homosexuals, and it isn't a justifiable reason to claim exclusivity. Assault under the law is still assault, whether or not you are gay, straight, black, white, disabled, etc. The claim of exclusivity just divides America even further. -

Straight people get attacked by religious people all the time for being too revealing, unmarried couples, abortions, sex in the media... everyone gets attacked for something, but it doesn't mean we're going to go around having Straight Pride Day. Victimization has gone TOO far in the USA as it is, especially in the legislative arena. -
A dose of reality- When Vince Young uttered the words "dream team", that is all it took to start an avalanche of coverage on the Eagles and with every loss it became more magnified. Anything C.J. Spiller says won't be seen in that light because Buffalo is a small market team, but if he had said that in a major city, he would have caused a stir. Rhetoric is for teams that have never won anything, and frankly we don't need it right now- we need PRODUCTION.
