  1. Normally you would see him at some point into the season this early... but I have not seen him. This is a bad sign health-wise... mark my words.
  2. The regular refs are back... I wasn't joking before last Sunday when I said the Pats* will now go 13-0 the rest of the way... There is a reason why they were 1-2 beforehand- now, all of the holding calls that should be called aren't happening, and Tom Brady will magically draw 15 yard roughing penalties. Yep, welcome back regular refs? Balderdash.
  3. When you are ranked that low by a quarterback who loves quarterbacks, you should be sh***ing yourself. Fitz has got to know that if he doesn't turn it around, his career as a starter is over.
  4. Beating the 49ers doesn't get us a division win or even an AFC win. It sounds nice, but in the end (IF, a big IF) we are 8-8 or 9-7 and tied with other teams, it doesn't mean jack squat. If we can't beat the Pats* or the Jests or even the Fish, we're dead in the water. We need CONSISTENCY, not surprise wins now and then- those get us 7-9 and another year wasted.
  5. You're right... let's wait until we go 5-11 with a below average defense and the season is over with before we relegate MW to bust status, because lord knows the great and almighty offensive lines of Kansas City and Cleveland were Pro Bowl caliber and that really made it difficult on the poor guy.
  6. Once again, Bruce Smith didn't need a blitz to sack the quarterback. Great playmakers make plays, and all we have from Mario Williams is excuses. Quit making excuses for him and realize what we are not getting for our investment. Aaron Schobel gave us much more than this guy with far less talent around him.
  7. It still doesn't explain away Mario Williams being neutralized one on one... did you ever think that maybe, just maybe, our REAL playmakers were being doubled and The Invisible Man offered ZERO help to take the heat off of them?
  8. NOT buying what you're selling... I saw him garner one on one blocking coverage and didn't do JACK SQUAT. Bruce Smith would have ABUSED a guy like that with WALT SWIZZLE STICK COREY as our defensive coordinator!!!! I'm so angry this morning, but the one person who should be the most angry, Ralph Wilson, probably doesn't even know what is going on anymore and that makes me even MORE angry because he's helpless due to his age.
  9. Ruben Brown went to the Pro Bowl 9 times- does this make him a Hall of Fame lineman, yes or no? Sometimes the accolades don't measure up to the Hall of Fame measuring stick, and Smerlas just doesn't measure up.
  10. If that's the case, then he must have been a part of the weakest generation of NTs in NFL history. I'm taking Pat Williams or Ted Washington ANY DAY OF THE WEEK over him.
  11. Hope Solo marries Santonio Holmes in a ceremony on the banks of the East River #wheelsonthebus
  12. JUST IN during my post! Jests EPIC FAIL! Great stuff!! LOLZ
  13. I love this bit... ohh the Jests never learn, do they? http://thejetpress.com/2012/07/25/jeff-otah-fails-physical-on-activepup-list/
  14. So did I... this morning on Mike and Mike NBC...
  15. So, I was watching ESPN yesterday, and on the screen comes up a tidbit about the Browns being sold to a guy who said he was "a 1,000 percent Steelers fan". In shock, I look over to my Ohio native girlfriend and she is royally pissed off, and then comes 5 minutes of contempt and fire and brimstone. It turns out that ESPN must have done this for shock value, because when you read where the quote was made and in what context, it makes sense. The buyer, Jimmy Haslam of the Pilot/Flying J truck stop fortune, is actually from Tennessee and is a minority investor in the Steelers without any firm attachment to the team as a fan goes: http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/8205396/pittsburgh-steelers-fan-jimmy-haslam-negotiations-purchase-cleveland-browns Shame of ESPN for being deceptive on their ticker! What do you expect?
  16. Whine much? Salt Lake City, perhaps the most intolerant city in our country, got the Winter Olympics and due to a bribery scandal... so what's your point? Enough with trying to politicize the selection... ugh.
  17. There is one restaurant you must visit for breakfast (if you can avoid having all 16 there as it is a smaller place, if not cool)- Miss Shirley's Cafe, 750 E. Pratt Street. Their breakfast is the best I have ever had in my life, bar none. There are several options along the Inner Harbor, but I would most certainly recommend you going to Canton, which is down the street and on the water. They have a lot of choices that are away from all of the city traffic- just follow Boston Street from the Inner Harbor and you'll see it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canton,_Baltimore
  18. Ridley can bring it for them, and so I don't have an optimistic view of the demise of the Pats* running game like many do. Just because the Pats* used the by-committee running game last year doesn't mean Ridley is average.
  19. I'll take the 1999 Bills defense in a heartbeat!!!!!! Henry Jones Sam Rogers John Holecek Phil Hansen Kurt Schulz Bruce Smith Ted Washington Antoine Winfield Pat Williams Marcellus Wiley Sorry, but to me they were more talented.
  20. Some places in Italy has no idea how to make a good pizza as we know it... not in Naples or Rome, anyways... but in Sicily, they seem to know how to make it REALLY well! Chicago perfected pizza, IMO.. the deep dish pizza of Geno's East and other establishments there have given us perfection in pizza...
  21. This is rich... more quotes that will be used after another failed Eagles season! http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/8180116/michael-vick-believes-philadelphia-eagles-develop-dynasty
  22. When unions are a thing of the past, then who is going to be blamed for the lack of quality employment? Even the father of American finance, Alexander Hamilton, was against free trade and pure capitalism, because he knew of the negative effects. The very notion that capitalism means it be without feeling and unchecked is a joke.
  23. When that stojan kills members of your family, you'll see how not funny it is.
  24. My father had overwhelming proof the companies knew the toxins were in the ground they were drilling in before they started, and so it was a bit more than $2k, but it enabled my mother to live comfortably for a few years anyways. I never knew what the settlement was, but as long as my mother was taken care of I had no interest. Same old companies involved... Occidental, Hooker, Bechtel...
  25. Yeah, keep telling yourself that. I'm not dignifying your baiting with any meaningful response.
