Report: Daboll will remain with Bills in 2021
bobobonators replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Great news! One more year of offensive stability and continuity for our young stud of a QB. Eventually Daboll will move on to a HC gig and a new offensive coordinator will arrive, which will be part of a normal maturation and learning process for Allen. By then it wont really matter who the offensive coordinator is - the star was already born. As for Daboll, i dont blame him at all for not leaving if the opportunity isnt absolutely perfect. The guy has an awesome gig running this offense and being close to home. So many offensive coordinators jump for the first opportunity they see as a HC and fall flat on their face bc it was likely a less than ideal situation for them to begin with. -
I think thats the key as well. I personally would not want to blitz Mahomes; instead drop as many back into coverage as possible. Earlier in the year i heard a stat Mahomes had vs the blitz and it was silly. Make the chiefs earn it by having long drives. We need to be near perfect in the redzone. We cant settle for FGs. None of this is rocket science. Im so excited for this game.

So the Lamar excuses start????

He didnt play a great game. My question is: 1. What is the fixation of some people to feel the need to put this kid down? Multiple threads have to be dedicated in the pursuit of this endeavor? Did he personally offend Bills players that we somehow continue to feel the need to say “hes not that good”? Is it bc he was drafted in the same class as Josh Allen so we need to measure up? He is 24yrs old and has broken numerous statistical records, to include winning an MVP award. Let the dude live. They didnt go 4-12 this yr. He lost in the divisional round of the playoffs at 24 and led his team to an 11-5 record. He clearly doesnt suck. He clearly is not average either. The hate for this guy is tiring. The media talks a lot about him bc he just won the MVP award and hes 24. Theyll move on to endlessly hype up this year’s MVP. Thats how it goes. If anything we should be able to relate to this guy’s struggles: experts were saying he would never be an NFL QB and should switch to WR. Experts were saying Allen would never be successful. Theyre both good stories. -
The End of the Lamar Jackson Era

Lamar certainly didnt play great last night. As a Bills fan i saw 2 huge problems with the ravens: 1. Oline - wow they were bad. That center was a disaster. 2. Roman adjusted too late. They started moving the ball more when they started the short passing game. But things had already started snowballing. They need a new center and a new OC. -
If McVay was calling plays in the NFL before he hit puberty, Dorsey is ready. I think its a natural progression for him at this point in his career. I agree though - no guarantees.

Do we play 3 LB sets vs the ravens or stick with nickel?

So did the Chargers last year and they contained Lamar with 7 DB’s on the field. Spying with Edmunds would be a complete waste of a defensive position - edmunds cant spy Lamar; no LB in the NFL can. -

Put 7 DB’s on the field to stop Jackson https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/theres-a-blueprint-for-stopping-lamar-jackson-but-teams-arent-using-it/ -
Bills -2.5 favorites vs ravens
bobobonators replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Has anyone looked at who the Ravens played this season? 1. Ravens played the NFC east this year. 2. the Bengals 2x 3. the Jaguars 4. Houston 6. And this sorry ass Steelers team 2x How the Ravens didnt win 14-15 games this season with that cupcake schedule is a testament to how beatable they are. I fear no one. Their defense is no better than the Colts’. They had less sacks on the yr than the Colts. They produced less turnovers than the Colts. We contained Lamar last yr in his mvp season. This Bills team is twice as good this year.- 130 replies

Yeh really. Wait Lamar is a better QB than Rivers now? Ive read here for 2 years how much Lamar sucks. Colts were an 11-5 team that was in the top 10 for offense, defense and ST. Yeh the Colts are a better team than the Ravens.

You shouldnt be. The Lamar Jackson era is over remember? All kidding aside, who cares who we play - its the playoffs. The Ravens are no tougher than the Colts.
