if he didn't have TD's but had a nice completion % and low INT's all we would hear is that the job of a QB and the offense is to score TD's..blah blah blah. you know it, i know it. TD's are the single most important stat in football. Anyone notice that Lindell hasn't seen much action this year? That's because the offense has been doing it's job. and that's why he's peyton manning. HOLY CRAP. I love people that try and make points by throwing in a HOF QB like Manning or Brady in their argument. They're like 1A/1B all time. Ya Fitz isn't Manning. Get over it. Move on. Go root for the Broncos. What's their record again????

oh well. i guess we'll just have to beat them at full strength

Bills offense is 5th in total points scored

how many of the other teams 1-5 have points that came in "garbage" time. This isn't preseason - there is no garbage time. -

so much anger. smile. -
I agree with pretty much everything...but I still think you have to make a few deep attempts with Fitz to Graham or Stevie...hopefully they can convert but you have to take a shot. I actually think we match up better vs. the 49ers than we do vs. the Patriots. We're gonna have to have the defensive game of the year on Sunday. Fitz is going to have to be able to manage the game w/o any major mistakes - we don't need 350yds from him. Run Spiller/Freddy all day if possible. Sucks our two O-linemen are out. Any major injuries for 49ers?

i agree with you on the emotion part. the team as a whole needs to play with more fire. even when we were winning against Cleveland the team seemed to be just going through the motions. one player i've really noticed it from has been Stevie...there are times where he's barely in the huddle listening to the play being called and his body language just looks pretty poor at times. -

Great post johnnyGold -
ya, your boy Cam is a REAL prize. your hello kitty t-shirt is in the mail.

wow. the team is 2-2 man. fitz has 12 TD's in 4 games. bench him??
-
what about ray horton? arizona's D-coordinator?? he has that defensive playing out of their minds.
-
i'm not completely giving up on Gailey yet..we'll see how the season goes. but, i like your idea about rob ryan. i think he may be too much of a personality for ralphy...might give the old man a heart attack.
-
i said it then and i'll say it again: i actually think Edwards did a solid job as an interim coach considering the stinking pile of dog doodoo he inherited. i'd rather go with an aggressive, young coach who really hasn't made a name for himself yet as opposed to some old has been. this team needs a fire under their butts.

i hear ya, i want the same thing. two points: 1. when fitz managed the game against the browns to come out with the victory, half the people on here still complained b/c?? I'm not really sure why..maybe b/c he didn't throw for 4tds against the browns? Probably b/c they just hate fitz and need to be right on a message board. 2. I don't like it when all we do is line up in shotgun w/5 WR spread...that is on Chan. The play calling isn't great at times...we seem to give up on the run too quickly considering the run game is a definite strength. Yesterday towards the end of the 2nd quarter when we were near the 2 minute warning and in the red zone, rather than running the ball and killing some time (b/c pats get ball after half any way), chan calls 3 pass plays in a row i beleive...it worked out b/c we were able to get the 1st down but that's not the point. Then with the ball on the 1 we run up the middle with the smaller RB as opposed to Freddy who is better suited at picking up short yardage than spiller imo.

pressure on the defense..heaven forbid those paper tigers create 3 and outs. if we worried more about creating a top 10 defense than we did about having this mystical "top 10" QB we'd be 3-1 right now. As for the super bowl remark, about 25 other franchises are saying the same thing about their QB's. Peyton Manning has one super bowl and Dan Marino has 0. It goes well beyond the QB when evaluating a team. Fitz is more valuable to this team than any single player on our defense and our entire defense as a whole. Fitz is more valuable to this team than the sad group of WR's we have who don't even fight for a ball. If you actually break it down, Fitz after either Spiller or FJ, is the best/most dynamic player we have.

How did YOUR actions affect the game?
bobobonators replied to Just Jack's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i normally do 30 pushups/30 situps after every bills TD and every TD the opponent scores. i didn't do 30pushups/30situps yesterday after any of the pats' scores -
you're a bit off in the way your describing the game with respect to the three and outs and the flow of the game. lets not alter history to prove a point. 83 yd drive for touchdown in 3rd quarter for 21-7 lead with 11:08 seconds left in 3rd. next drive pats go 8 plays 80yds for TD: 21-14 Bills get ball and go 3 and out (first 3 and out) in a while. Pats get ball go 8 plays 66 yds for TD: 21-21 Bills get ball and go 3 and out...here you can say, OK, two 3 and outs in a row is pretty rough on the defense, but the Pats had already come back and tied it at this point. Pats get ball go 5 plays 62 yds for TD: 28-21. Next drive: fred jackson fumbles the ball: turnover. Pats get ball 6 plays 41 yds for TD: 35-21 with 11 minutes left in 4th Quarter. So at this point the lead is beyond gone. Next Drive Fitz throws INT. Pats TD: 42 - 21; Bills score TD bring it to 42-28 with 6 minutes left and the Pats seal the deal 6 plays 49 yds to bring the score 49-28 with 4 minutes to play. GAME OVER. That is how it happened. So much for blaming Fitz and the offense for blowing that lead. Heaven forbid you have two 3 and outs in a row. Poor defense can't handle it after resting for 15 minutes during half time. The FJ fumble sealed the deal at that point in the game.

yes turnovers kill you...but scoring TDs is a focal point is it not? TD's are a guaranteed 6 points whereas INT's are not. and it's not like he has 12td's and 12ints...it's 12 and 7. he obviously needs to cut down his INT's but crap you're telling me you wouldn't sign up right now for 48 tds and 28 int by the end of the season??? You'd be crazy not to. that's +20...maybe not Brady-esque but freaking good.
-
I don't even know what's being argued anymore. At the end of the day, if the Bills win Fitz sucks and if the Bills lose fitz sucks even more. Got it.

lmao..get it together man. -
After a quarter of the season: Fitz is on pace for 3,724yds, 48td's, 28int's, and an 89.8 QB rating. If those #'s are bottom 5 than what does the top 5 have? 8,000yds, 80tds/4int's and a 150 QB rating? We're 2-2 and not 0-4.
