I'd take Kuechly at #10 and then go offense for pretty much every other pick...WOOT!!!!!
-
major bump to this thread now that we have signed Anderson, no way in hell are we taking DL at #10. If Kuechly is there at 10, our MLB position will be filled for the next decade and our defense will be pretty sick (imo). i'm salivating.

Bills trading up for Tannehill?
bobobonators replied to BRAWNDO's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
tannehill is going to drop on draft day. the notion that anyone is going to actually trade UP to get this guy is absurd. no one trades up to obtain questionable talent. -
ILB position is critical on a 4-3D..as opposed to 3-4. so if there's an elite talent, like kuechly, at 10..i personally wouldn't consider it much of a reach at all.
-
if we get mario, i would definitely have no problem getting kuechly at 10 if he's still there. it's not like we're exactly "loaded" at LB anyway. if mario screws us, then i'd be more inclined to go with pass-rushing DL at 10

Mario Williams: Officially a Buffalo Bill
bobobonators replied to buffalo_bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I really can't believe there are people in this thread that actually have reservations about giving mario a big contract. 1. we need pass rush; 2. williams is the biggest/best FA pass-rusher; 3. we have A LOT OF MONEY IN CAP SPACE.. holy crap, talk about no-brainer. imagine having a DL of Ingram, Dareus, Williams, Mario. -
[closed]Vincent Jackson ='s Bad Contract
bobobonators replied to Booger's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
lol..Jackson isn't good enough for the bills now? LMAO. ok. Mario Williams isn't worth the money; Jackson isn't worth the money; Peyton isn't worth the picks; that's right, no one's worth it for buffalo..lets just continue doing what we're doing since it's working so well. also, VJ just TURNED 29 in January and is still in the prime of his career. Is Andre Johnson an "elite" receiver? He's been in the league two more years than VJ and only has 2 more 1000 seasons (johnson has 5 and VJ has 3). but ya, you're right, the bills don't need a 6'5 red zone threat...those kinds of players are definitely not worth it. -
1. It's not a career-ending injury so calm down. 2. Jackson is 31 with the legs of a 25/27 yr old. 3. FJ has been tearing it up the last 2 seasons..I think he can play.

Nick Perry with the #1 pick!

Chris Brown SPECULATES Bills in play for V Jackson
bobobonators replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Chris Brown needs someone to read his articles. We're not signing Vincent Jackson or Mario Williams...maybe in 4-5 years, when the contracts they sign this year with other teams expire and they're well past their primes. -
Considering that this defense has only one true 4-3 DE on this roster who is capable of producing pass rush (Kelsay, and that's sad), we would be blessed to be able to get a player like Mathis. I really don't see the point in referencing Mathis' size. I think Mathis has been in the league long enough and has proven himself. The guy gets 9.5 - 11.5 sacks every single season. What's the alternative? Even if we draft a DE with the 1st pick, we need more DE's. Look at the giants, everyone on that DL is practically a DE.

i really like it, but there's no doubt that Brockers would be a bit of a project as he's still quite young and few DT's just step in and dominate from day one. question though is when would we get him? he's not worth a 10 but then again he probably won't be tehre when we pick again in the 2nd. we would have to trade up. brockers may also be able to play DE in a 4-3 at the nfl level..he put on a lot of weight in order to play DT
-
I completely agree. For the Bills, someone like Mathis may be possible (and would be huge) but hoping for Williams is just a waste of time, imo.

decastro is certainly a beast but i just don't like it at 10 for two reasons: 1. Of the numerous needs, guard isn't one (IMO); our Guards are actually pretty good and Levitre is only going to get better; 2. Quality, long term Guards can be found pretty easily in rounds 3-5. now if J. Martin is there at 10 and we take him, though I think we need defense, I wouldn't really complain due to the importance of the LT position and i feel that LT is more of a question than our guard situation.

I think taking Mercilus at #10 is a bit of a stretch.

who is the best 4-3 DE in this draft?
bobobonators replied to EldaBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
lol. niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiicky perry! wooot!...i just put in for my Nick Perry bills uni a few minutes ago..it'll arrive in approx May -
Orson Charles or Dwayne Allen anyone?
bobobonators replied to BillsNeedaQBin2012's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
gimmie some CHAAAAAAAAAAAARLES!!!! in my sig, i have us getting him in the 3rd, but realistically i don't expect him dropping into the 3rd round though and I wouldn't take him in the 2nd where we're picking..unless we trade down in the 2nd. -
who is the best 4-3 DE in this draft?
bobobonators replied to EldaBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Don't look at the weight, look at his production. Osi and robert mathis have the exact same build and all they do is get to the QB. Nick Perry is the real deal. woot! -
who is the best 4-3 DE in this draft?
bobobonators replied to EldaBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nick Perry, USC will move up on draft day and will be taken #10. Purest 4-3 DE in this draft who does nothing but get to the QB. -
So, where's this "new NFL" I keep hearing about?
bobobonators replied to maddenboy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Very well said. The 49ers didn't really "stop" the saints, so I'm not sure what defense the OP is referring to. The 49ers simply scored last..does anyone really think that the 49ers defense would've stopped Brees if there were another 2 minutes on the clock? Exactly how many 14 - 3 games have their been in these playoffs? Stating that the NFL is a passing league is beyond cliche - it's a simple fact. So, defensively, what's the best way to defend the pass: rush the passer. Pass rush also = INT's. Truly simple stuff. The IDEAL NFL recipe for success today is no longer run the ball, and stop the run...no, it's PASS THE BALL, AND RUSH THE PASSER. That's the new NFL..and the playoffs keep reinforcing the change. So defense is still needed today, but it's a defense that focuses on creating pressure on the QB, and not so much on stopping the run. Such a defense though is prone to the big play due to blitzes and man on man, etc...hence, the huge offensive games that we see...at the same time though, that same kind of pass rushing defense will get 5/6 sacks and a couple of forced fumbles perhaps...so statistically the defense will have a bad game but still create big plays that help you win. -
Put everything into the offense
bobobonators replied to Toshiero's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Offense is definitely the name of the game in today's NFL. As much as I've defended Fitz, this offense, no matter how much you add to it, will never be at the level of GB, NE, or NO b/c Fitz can't reach that level. That doesn't we need a HOF QB in order to win...insead, we're going to make up the gap between Fitz and Brady somehwere else: defense and special teams. Continue to add pieces to the offense for sure, but the only way the Bills will move forward is by having a well-balanced TEAM. -
i think that there are several good TE's coming out this year in the draft. keep an eye on Ladarius Green from LA Lafayette; huge end zone threat at 6'6 and has the body type of Graham.
