  1. i think that there are several good TE's coming out this year in the draft. keep an eye on Ladarius Green from LA Lafayette; huge end zone threat at 6'6 and has the body type of Graham.
  2. hey Astro, i noticed you guys have Nick Perry as a 3-4OLB, but every game I see him play he's been a 4-3 DE...did you put down 3-4 b/c that's what you guys believe he'll play at the next level? I'd keep an eye on Perry..this guy is the purest pass-rushing 4-3 DE in this draft. He's going to move up the draft boards BIG time.
  3. Lets not be silly. The jets traded UP to get Sanchez and paid him a pretty penny. The Jets went to the AFC championship game back-to-back years with Sanchez at QB, and how many road playoff wins did he obtain in those two playoff runs? This was his 3rd year - not his 13th. His dues have been paid. The only fool in NYC that has "not paid his dues" is fatass Rex Ryan. Sanchez's biggest problems are as follows: 1. He plays QB in NYC; 2. Rex Ryan is writing checks that Sanchez can't cash (yet). When your HC has a fat mouth and talks about Super Bowl victories in April to the NYC media, there's only one plausible outcome: crash and burn. I personally hate the Jets and laugh whenever Sanchez throws an INT. The Jets' biggest problem however is not Sanchez. The rotting head on that fat fish is Rex Ryan.
  4. White coaches are better suited to motivate a team that is 95% black...fear the white man. Black males don't respect other black males in positions of authority. I have scientific data to back this claim up.
  5. Has it ever occurred to you that maybe Brees and Rivers would've developed with ANYONE and that it was Brees and Rivers that actually made Brian look good? Sanchez, contrary to what you say, isn't a complete bum so maybe you should consider the alternative hypothesis before you proclaim Brian to be Tebow-like. If Brian was such a genius he wouldn't have Sanchez throw 59 times in one game vs arguably the best pass rush in the league(the giants). Great gameplan! Maybe Brian should go backk to being a QB coach and leave the actual playcalling for those individuals who didn't rely on their last name to get them through the door.
  6. If upshaw is there at 10, i think we have to take him. I too question his ability to consistently bring pressure at the NFL level. I don't think he possesses the strength AND speed attributes of an abraham or freeney but he sure as heck possesses the strength. Though our pass rush is horrid, our run defense is poor as well and is also a need. At 10, I feel Upshaw would both fill a need and is also arguably the best player to fill that need at that spot. Can't wait to see him at the combine. Other players to keep an eye on are Melvin Ingram from S. Carolina and Nick Perry from USC.
  7. We can't learn anything from the Denver Broncos. First, we don't play in the AFC West. In addition, we don't play in the AFC West. In conclusion, we don't play in the AFC West.
  8. we have to resign stevie imo...we're short on WR WITH Stevie..if we let Stevie walk we're going to have to obtain 2 WR this offseason. Stevie is just entering the prime of his career and has had back to back 1,000yd seasons. At 25, there is only upside people. Yes, he may be a bit of an ars at times with his antics on the sidelines but you still have to resign him though. Stevie may not be a premier #1..but he's definitely a 1A WR imo who can be part of the eventual solution in buffalo. I'd be pretty upset if Stevie goes elsewhere. I don't disagree that it was a boneheaded play by Stevie and I, like many others, was really pissed off when he got flagged ffor it. I also think the term "selfish" needs to be qualified. I wouldn't consider Stevie's actions to be selfish in the same sense as Santonio Holmes...Stevie's selfish acts I feel CAN be corrected b/c everything I have read/heard about Stevie, he seems like a pretty decent guy. I think Stevies main problem right now is that he's still a bit immature. I don't see maliciousness in Stevie's actions...stupidity yes, but Stevie's actions were never mean spirited. Someone like Stevie can be corrected...someone like Holmes cannot (imo). Stevie's new contract should simply have a clause that stipulates that if Stevie gets flagged for celebrations he'll get automatically fined $30K by the team....you'd see how quickly the boneheaded celebrations would end.
  9. I don't agree with your point regarding Peters. I can't think of 1 game this season where the LT gave up 3-4 sacks and cost us the game. Other than the Dolphins game where the lack of a true backup center really cost us, I can't really pin any single loss on the O-line this season..especially on the LT position. If anything, what player would not be on the roster right now as a result of having to make space to sign Peters at LT? I really like Peters, but we didn't win when he was here either. LT was not the problem this year..we need more depth on the O-line, that's for sure..but I actually like the way our O-line played this season. And again, with the style of offense that chan runs, it's truly a waste of cap space to sign a stud LT. (IMHO)
  10. as long as chan gailey is coaching this team, there's no point in drafting OL anywhere in the first or second rounds...a spread offense, 5 WR set, does not require a team to have a premier tackle. we need a deep threat at WR and we need another great pass catching TE to go with Chandler...I want our offense to look like the Pats. tell fitzy to grow his hair out and start dating a super model.
  11. isn't OSI an UFA after this season??? I know he has some previous injury concerns and is 30..but the guy gets 10 sacks on an off year. I would LOVE to have him on the bills, especially if we're going to be transitioning mostly to a 4-3.
  12. i actually don't think we have that many holes either. it's really pretty simple in my opinion. depending on the defensive scheme, we definitely need either a DE or an OLB...we need another threat at WR...we need another CB. Above all, what this team NEEDS is overall depth. I actually think our starters (more so on offense), if healthy, are pretty good and our record early in the season reinforces that belief. What this team does not have is overall depth. So we need to add a few key pieces at the positions listed above while increasing the overall depth at positions on the OL, LB, and/or DL.
  13. Ya, Sanu is a stud. If he played for a premier program he would certainly go in the first round. There's a good chance he may slip into the 2nd round and could be around when we pick in the 2nd. thanks carolina bill..i'll definitely be following ingram throughout the combine.
  14. I agree. The only thing that may prevent this from happening is if Luck pulls an Eli and says that he will not sign with the Colts. If I'm Luck, I do not want to go to Indy. Luck is kinda screwed either way if he goes to Indy: 1. If manning is healthy, Luck is going to be sitting on the bench for the next 3 years at least. Nobody with Luck's skills/talent wants to do that. Ya, rodgers did it, but rodgers slid on draft day and GB worked on Rodgers release/footwork over those years when he was on the sidelines. 2. If manning isn't healthy and Luck becomes the man pretty quickly, who wants to be the one that follows Manning? The shoes that Luck will have to step into and fill, can't be filled. Ya, young followed Montana and did well. Manning is arguably the greatest QB of all time though. Ideally, Luck will land somewhere where he can be the starter from day 1 and won't be compared to the greatest QB of all time on a weekly basis. So again, if I'm luck, I pull an Eli and tell the colts, don't bother drafting me b/c I won't sign!
  15. I don't understand the logic in this post on all accounts. 1. why would peyton manning go to the same city where his brother plays? ya, they would rarely play one another, but it really seems unnecessary b/c the giants and jets DO have a rivalry despite barely playing one another, so it would automatically bring unnecessary stress to the family...especially considering peyton is ending his career...the mannings know that Eli has it pretty good right now in NY, and peyton coming here would only overshadow Eli...unnecessary stress/rivalry imo. 2. why would peyton manning want to play in the same division as Tom Brady? it's cute playing once a year in a non-divisional game, but why would you want to face him at least 2x's every year? 3. why would peyton manning want to play for a cold weather team to finish his career? As for the Bills reactions to peyton manning..that makes no sense whatsoever. We already have Tom Brady in our division..what exactly would the bills be reacting to? At best, Manning would probably have 3 solid/great years left...why would the bills trade away 5 picks to move up 9 spots in order to counteract 3 years of manning? If we're going to trade away our entire draft to move up and get RGIII or Luck, then we're doing it b/c it's the best move for the franchise and not in reaction to another team's FA signing and/or trade. Peyton Manning will never go to the Jets and the Jets would never be able to afford to add on that contract anyway.
  16. what are your thoughts on Melvin Ingram? I've only seen him play maybe 3-4 times..quite impressive in about 2 of those games. Would he be worth a 10? that's my fear as well. if we transition to the 4-3 this team is well off at DT, but seriously lacking at DE. Isn't Umenyiora a FA this season?? If we transition to the 4-3, I would throw insane money at him despite his injury concerns. he's 30 years old and should still have 3-4 productive years left. any chance we get Osi???..lol
  17. WR is a need for sure, imo. So I would not be opposed to drafting a WR at 10 if the talent is there...if not, I would focus on picking the best defensive player available. Regardless what we do, I still want us to bring Stevie back next season. Despite his stupidity, he's still a very good player that can be a part of the ultimate solution in buffalo
  18. i could care less about 40 times with respect to LBs/DE's..i'm more interested in their 10yd splits and explosiveness...when i watch Upshaw play, i see explosiveness. i'd like to see hiim run the 40 though and see what his 10 yd split time is
  19. with respect to our O-line...does anyone feel we need to make a selection with either our 1st or 2nd pick, or should we just concentrate on increasing depth. I tend to lean on the idea of just adding depth (rounds 3-6/FA), as the O-line played pretty well this year when all of the starters were in there. Jonathan Martin, LT from Stanford is pretty enticing though..
  20. i think the pick that would make the most sense righ now would be Upshaw as I feel he's the best pass rushing LB in this draft...which is exactly what we need. Dareus and Upshaw - roll tide!
  21. I agree. OLB 1st pick; and WR 2nd pick. Great game yesterday..it's amazing how different the team looks when teh defense actually plays well and doesn't give up a TD on every single drive in the 1st half. Go bills! PS: Lindell, please get better fast!
  22. You're a complete TOOOOOOL...the players I compared him to are THE SAME !@#$ING PLAYERS YOU COMPARED HIM TO IN YOUR POST..MY LORD, drink some Clorox Bleach and put an end to your stupidity.
  23. Good question. The new QBR rating attempts to address this. Fitzpatrick currently ranks 12th in the league with a QBR rating of 58.7. He's ahead of notable QB's like Philip Rivers, Vick, Flacco, Newton, Stafford, Freeman, Dalton, Smith, Sanchez. I say "notable" b/c of course, on these message boards, all of those above mentioned QB's are "worlds" better than Fitz. So while 12th in the league isn't "outstanding," it's certainly above average. Add that QBR ranking to the stats I listed above, and you have yourself GOOD production from the QB position. Solution: Fix the Defense, Add to the offense; add overall depth. Result: playoffs.
