if we take Locker anywhere in this draft i'll be extremely upset. for people that complain about fitz being inaccurate, you haven't seen anything yet.

lol..listen, just give Fitz an entire preseason and season as the QB and lets see what happens. Even the most anti-Fitz individual has to admit that he had a pretty solid season last year statistically, and his grit/personality are certainly positive as well. I don't see a peyton manning or aaron rodgers anywhere in this draft, so i don't know what the big deal is about not taking a QB this year..and it's not as if we're set at other positions. QB is not this team's primary weakness.

Kelsay is not a starting OLB in the NFL..he was barely starting material at his natural position, DE. Merriman's lights have been out since 2008. If we're supposed to rely on these two clowns for our future, then god help us.

I think you're way off, imo. If it's not one of the names you listed above, it'll be someone like Julio Jones or Cam Jordan...but lets face it, if we stay at 3, it'll certainly be ONE of those names you listed above..it's almost a certainty. Mallett or Liuget at 3 is beyond blasphemy..

the draft is mostly a crap shoot. the best way to increase your odds of picking a future star, regardless of round, is to have more picks in each round. trading up should rarely be done.

Great post man! 1. If Dareus is there, he must be taken. DE solved. 2. I agree as well - let TT continue to develope! KW didn't dominate right off the bat. DT/NT's take a couple of seasons to grow into the position at the NFL level. 3. If this team is absolutely sold on Sam Acho, I would have no issues either, 1. trading back into later in the 2nd round and grabbing him there, or 2. trading back up into the 2nd round and grabbing him there. Acho is still a bit raw, but his ceiling is potentially much higher than some of the OLB/DE that will be taken in the 1st round.

Good post. I think right now you'd have to put coughlin ahead of rex/smith/mccarthy..of course, 10 yrs from now, who knows. Coughlin took the expansion Jaguars to the AFC championship game twice i think, and won the SB w/the Giants and has over 130 wins...imo, he's definitely within top 5 currently

Exactly. I think that some people tend to view NFL teams as individual/independent entities and that's where they get confused. Company X requiring a prospetive applicant to have a minimum 4 year college degree to be considered for Y employment opportunity is not illegal. A similar logic applies to the NFL and whatever requirements they demand/require for an individual to join their league.

You demand consistency from a player that took over in week 3 and gave his 120% and actually put up pretty decent numbers considering the dismal talent on offense around him. Nobody is claiming that Fitz is the answer at QB, but he's certainly not the main problem on this team. understand and embrace that distinction and please just get over it already. Correction, Gabbert received little attention as a pro prospect this year because he sucks; no easier way to say it really. I'm sorry. Gabbert is by far the most overhyped player in this year's draft. He has done absolutely nothing in college, and to make matters worse, he's coming off a year that was statistically much worse than his prior season (which was good, but not an exceptional season either).

The chiefs scored 13 points in 5 quarters, at home against the Bills..Weis should talk less b/c he's done absolutely nothing since leaving tom brady & co. in NE. Edwards > Weis in that game.
