  1. Nice, I actually thought of writing Aaron Williams in for a sec. He's def. going up my rankings as well. After I did the poll and submitted the thread I realized I forgot to write in Gilmore on there. But then again, I suppose that says it all really.
  2. So I was talking with a buddy the other day over who my current favorite Bills player is and I actually had a hard time answering him quickly. Over the last few years my favorite player has arguably been Stevie, but his antics (and drops) during the same time span have kind of bothered me a bit as well. So then I kind of qualified my Stevie answer with saying how Freddy was right up there as well just b/c of his professionalism and his production when he does play. My buddy ( a Giants fan ) kind of laughed at my Freddy response saying that Freddy was old and irrelevant and rarely ever plays a full season. Anyway, the convo kind of got me thinking about how I'm not crazy about any single player on the current roster. I can really see Kiko being my "favorite" player in a year or two, but time will tell. Being curious as to how others feel, vote on your favorite player and share why; I'm curious to see who wins.
  3. lol. Byrd has a funny way of showing it. With the Bills paying A. Williams, Byrd is not coming back b/c we will not be paying him as well. The end.
  4. with us extending A. Williams, we will not be paying Byrd. Fact.
  5. I dont see us taking a WR at #1. We took 2 WR in the first 3 rounds last season and we took another WR in the first 3 rounds in 2012. Granted, TJ Graham has been an abomination, but I just can't see us taking another WR with our first pick. An elite TE on the other hand would be a different story. I'm perfectly fine with SJ, Woods, and Goodwin. Throw in an Ebron or ASJ or Amaro and we doin good. We have to protect EJ - our glass figurine - and will have to take OL once in the first 2 rounds IMO (unless we address it via FA).
  6. Really surprised Jordan Matthews is not on that list. Boy what a player. Will be best NFL WR from this draft after Watkins.
  7. And our FO has ruined this franchise.
  8. Eagles. 5 years 61million 42m guaranteed. Eric berry signed a 6yr 60m contract. Byrd will surpass it in guaranteed money as well. no doubt.
  9. Not sure about kc's cap space but imagine byrd next to berry?
  10. Hopefully. You think something would work in our favor eventually
  11. Ill state my position now and forever henceforth: the right move was tagging Byrd. Eagles paid peters plenty. They made the playoffs. We havent. SF paid clements CRAPLOADS, it didnt work out for him over there, but look where the niners are now and where are we? SF paid whitner, again where are we? Someone will pay Byrd and you can book it that byrd sees playoffs before the Bills ever do. We always have "more pressing" needs and thats how we justify letting go of players. The most pressing need we have is a FO that is competent. We havent had one in decades.
  12. I look at the team that will give me the most money AND the best chance to win something. Unfortunately, b-lo offers neither (the large majority of the time.)
  13. When does it end, exactly? How can you build anything when the majority (not always) of the time you don't keep the talent you have. Clements wasn't worth top dollar - gone; Whitner wasn't worth top dollar - gone; Peters wasn't worth top dollar - gone; Levitre wasn't worth top dollar - gone; Poz wasn't worth top dollar - gone; Byrd wasn't worth top dollar - gone. Those players have gone on to play in 13 playoffs games and 6 pro bowls. Obviously other teams have managed to pay those players good $ and still win. We're still chasing our collective tails. Dareus will demand top 5 DT money; cordy glenn also at LT - somehow those two probably won't be worth it either. And at the end of the day, it's not even about paying Byrd top dollar - it's about not letting him go for NOTHING. And as for spending "a lot" of money on the coaching staff? You mean the entire Syracuse coaching staff? All we need is for the Dean of Students to sign as our GM to complete the transition from AFC East into the ACC.
  14. How we let him walk is beyond me. Lets use the tag on Chris Hogan instead.
  15. Can we get DeSean Jackson instead?
  16. You think no one is willing to trade for Byrd b/c they know that ultimately he will be a FA or do you think that no one is willing to give the Bills what they're asking?
  17. I would take that any day of the week as a Bills fan. Only concern, however, would probably be the way Byrd reacts to that contract and how many games he plays b/c of "injuries". I mean I understand players wanting long-term deals, but if you're Byrd and you're getting franchised 3 years in a row, you're guaranteed elite money for 3 years, and after that he can still get another 2-3yr contract elsewhere b/c he's still young enough. It's certainly not the end of the world for Byrd by any stretch.
  18. Tag Byrd and trade him to Eagles for desean jackson. Reunite him w chip
  19. Theres only one possible thing i can think of that even begins to be a valid concern in the potential decision to not tag Byrd: the bills feel this guy wants out of here so bad that if we franchise him he'll have a sudden bout of PF again around august and sit on the bench " injured"until november. Of course, the PF will somehow get better in november and Byrd will work his butt off and perform on the field for about 4-6 weeks to showcase to other teams that hes got this PF under control. Other than that, i see no viable reason as to why the bills should not tag Byrd. We have absolutely nothing to lose by tagging Byrd. By not tagging Byrd, everyone else wins and we lose.
  20. He doesnt want to be here. Seems clear. Would love to have him be our FS for another 3 yrs, but when u see how our defense played without him last season and consider how much he wants, I wont lose that much sleep over it.
  21. LOL. I personally love some of the new-wave unis. I agree that sometimes they go overboard in college, but in general, I prefer the direction that uniforms are going.
  22. I think they're all absolutely horrid, with the exception of the Falcons and the Raiders. I went back and saw the Bears' unis. LMAO.
  23. I disagree with your first point and see absolutely no relevance to reality. Do you think Pettine left b/c he isn't friends with Marrone? Or do you think Pettine left b/c he had an opportunity to be a HC? Was Marrone not happy with the Defense? Are you trying to say that Marrone pushed Pettine out the door? I'm not completely following what you're trying to say. Whether or not Pettine and Marrone went out for dinner is irrelevant to anything, IMO. Pettine didn't resign, he went for a promotion. The move makes sense for Pettine. I think you're looking into it too much.
