The Bills are doing an excellent job in Free Agency

PFF it was; take it for what it's worth - a point of reference. -

He was drafted in 2008 and has played with two HC's and 4 offensive coordinators - it's not about being in a specific system at this point, it's about not being good. -

Chris Williams was released by Chicago and was the worst OL on the Rams' line. You think our LG position was bad last year? Legursky/Brown had the following combined stats: 3 sacks 11 QB hits 31 QB hurries Last year Williams had: 5 sacks 8 QB hits 28 QB hurries Now, if we all agree that LG was an abomination last year, how in the world can we say Williams is an upgrade when his numbers last season were just as bad? I would rather keep the crap we have at LG and draft a Guard in the first 3 rounds and save the 5.5 million. -
Probably a crap load of Benzos. I never get why someone with the resources to have anything in the world, would want to live his life under the influence of anything. Be high on life man. Geesh.

I hear ya. Week 17 this past season was awesome with almost every game having some sort of playoff/seeding implication. By expanding the playoffs, Week 15-17 are all going to have HUGE playoff implications which is AWESOME to me. I have no problem with an 8-8 team making it in. The NFL isn't like other leagues that have 300 regular season games (hyperbole alert). There are a bunch of teams who literally have bad luck a couple of games and/or lose by 3 points or less and finish 7-9 as opposed to 9-7. Many 7-9 teams or 8-8 teams aren't that much worse than 9-7 teams or 10-6 teams. It's not the same as baseball for example where a team that goes 70-92 compared to a team that goes 92-70 - the latter is clearly much better. I'm 110% for it.

We need to pick a tackle in the 1st or 2nd
bobobonators replied to Webster Guy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed. Pears should be a backup. Hairston is a complete question mark. RT is a big need. Dominate the LOS, and you dominate the opponent (for the most part). We should target TE or WR in the 2nd round: Jordan Matthews has all the tools to be a very good NFL WR. -
LOL. I JUST BLEW A 0.45%!!!! IT'S ON LIKE A MOOOOFOOOO!!!

lmao would it have sounded something like this? OMG...the Earth is SHAKING!!!!! Shock and AWE is coming VERY SOON!!!!!!! Colts Nation...are you sitting DOWN!!!!!!

Overall I'd give the Bills a B so far. The spikes signing put me over the top, from disappointment to being pretty happy with what we've accomplished. Without Spikes I would've said C-. The Williams deal really bothers me though with what we paid him. -
there's something about Irsay that really rubs me the wrong way. Now I know he was completely plastered when he tweeted about the Richardson trade.

[closed]Is Jairus Byrd really an elite safety?
bobobonators replied to Mike in Syracuse's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Youre right, hes not elite. Im convinced now. No matter how you slice it to your view: most INT by a safety in the NFL since 2009. 3x pro bowler and 3x all pro But yeah, not elite. -
If Mike Evans in RD1, who in 2?
bobobonators replied to Astrobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My view on Evans is jaded bc i wtched a bunch of his games in 2012 and only about 2 games last season. When i watched him in '12 he was still extremely young and raw - talented but certainly not overly impressive. I think he greatly improved this season with his route running. His hands to me are still a bit of a question mark - if hes going to be our "elite" #1 he has to have elite hands. At 9, i would not be upset if we went w evans due to his combo of size and speed. Unless the bills really screw us this season, i feel ill be satisfied w our first pick. I see either Ebron, Evans or a trade down to get a RT and an extra 2nd rounder. -
Re: With the 1st pick of the 2014 Draft...
bobobonators replied to JTO's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No offense taken, but I don't agree with you. QB Johnny Manziel and CB Darqueze Dennard may be rated higher than Mike Evans or Ebron or any OT on the Bills board. You think we're taking either a QB or CB at 9? I don't. You can't simply throw position away and draft BPA at #9. If a RB was the BPA available at 9 would you draft a RB with Fred Jackson and CJ Spiller on the team already? You draft BPA while also looking at the starters currently on your team and you try to come as close as you can to matching both slots - BPA and BPA that also happens to be a position you may need a starter/upgrade at. Of course, there are always exceptions. Also, don't think for a second that a team's needs aren't taken into account when a team ranks the prospects. So a team may naturally be more inclince to rank Manziel higher than Ebron just b/c they need a QB bad; doesn't necessarily mean that Manziel is really a better prospect than Ebron though. It's all relative. For example, do you think the Falcons would draft Watkins at #6, or do you think they'll go with a defensive player or an OT? Watkins will probably be there when the Falcons draft and he's probably one of the top 3 players in the draft in terms of talent/potential, but the Falcons don't need another WR. We took BPA with CJ Spiller a few years ago, and look what that has done for us. I'm not saying I'm right and you're wrong, there's no sure fire way of drafting (which is clear by all the 1st round busts in the NFL). If I was drafting at #9, I'd look at my team and figure out 2-3 positions that I really needed to improve and target BPA at one of those positions at #9. At #9 you'll be bound to have a top player at one of your positions of need. Pick your favorite and pray it works out. -

Re: With the 1st pick of the 2014 Draft...
bobobonators replied to JTO's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There have only been a handful of TE's ever drafted in the top 10. The elite TE's in the game today have all been drafted in late first round through 4th round, for the most part. I like Ebron, and if we take him with our 1st pick I certainly won't be crying. But fact is there are other solid TE's in this draft that can become very good NFL TE's. IMO, it's not Ebron or bust at the TE position. -

Jimmy Graham was drafted in the 3rd round. I understand what you're saying, but playmakers can be, and are obtained in any round. -

Maybe an upgrade at DL opposite Mario too.. -
Re: With the 1st pick of the 2014 Draft...
bobobonators replied to JTO's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is how I'm viewing things now: CB is set LB is set TE - from everything that has come out of the Bills appears to be set RB is set OL - paying Williams that much money you bet your butt that he's starting at LG, which only leaves RT up in the air still. Hairston? Draft? Pears? WR - could add an elite player via draft DL is set S is not set unless they think Duke Williams is ready to go (which he may be) So to me we're gonna have to address Safety, RT and possibly WR in the first 3 rounds and not in that order. -

I dont see bills going TE w first pick. Im gonna have to edit my draft bc w FA ad what ive heard from OBD i dont see us addressing either OG or TE in first 3 rounds -

Trade Stevie Johnson to Carolina, they have no WRs
bobobonators replied to Security's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Whether stevie is an NFL #1 is semantics and irrelevant. When healthy hes our best WR and a proven solid WR. Letting him go leaves us with a gaping hole at the position. You want graham to be your #2? You think a rookie WR is going to come in here and put up 1000+ yds? Youre delusional. And stevie smith 35 and SJ is 27. Maybe u should put down the pipe.
