  1. I agree man, and then we have Byrd. Arguably the best defensive player we've drafted in a long time - gone for nothing. Get ready Buffalo, bc dareus will be demanding top 3 DT money very soon. Somehow he wont be worth it either.
  2. Much more upside? It's posts like this that REALLY piss me off. Byrd made 3 pro bowls, was a 2x AFC interception leader and NFL interception co-leader. Byrd has the most interceptions by a safety since 2009 for crying out loud. Byrd is still in his prime at 27; he's a little over 3 years older than Williams. Williams has A LOT of catching up to do. People can keep lying to themselves all they want. The Bills are not better off without Byrd.
  3. Is 14 years of not making the playoffs a joke, too? Add to that 18 years since we actually won a playoff game. Just curious what your level of humor really is.
  4. NO is no more primed for success than us? Maybe in 20 yrs when sean payton is playing golf on sundays will the bills be more primed for success.
  5. Do you know what Brees' cap number is this yr? In buffalo we wouldve let Brees walk bc as the Bills' motto goes: NO player is worth that much.
  6. Its amazing how teams like the saints and broncos, who were in much worse financial positions than us manage to dominate FA. Then again, theyre in the playoffs every year and we havent been there in a decade and a half. Obviously our FO is outclassed in every way. Byrd wanted a chance to play on a winning team and not this abomination of a franchise.
  7. Im still waiting for those 2 "good"players. Byrd will now win. Good for him.
  8. there goes Saffold. =*( and Dansby. There goes my entire Sig.
  9. LOL. I could see an incentive laden contract but I don't think he wants that. Then again, at his age, he's not in a position to demand anything. Maybe the Raiders will blow him out of the water.
  10. You could be right about Chandler. I'd like to see who's going to give MJD more than $4/yr at 29yrs old and especially with the mileage on those legs.
  11. 1. Karlos Dansby - 2 years $16m 2. Rodger Saffold - 5 years $35m 3. Scott Chandler - 3 yrs $2M 4. Maurice Jones Drew - 2 yrs $5m (3 first year and 2 in 2015) BOOM
  12. Im not dissatisfied with the CB's on the bills, however, i think the following 2 statements are accurate: 1. Prior to last yr McKelvin was bad. Has he cometely turned the corner? 2. Gilmore has so far not performed up to what many expected.
  13. Can we pay revis what byrd woulda gotten? Id gladly pay revis 9/10m a year and this way he can stick it to the Jets 2x a year for next 3yrs CB is one of the more important positions in NFL. Id rather have Revis 10x over Byrd.
  14. In their defense, the steelers did pay the man back in 2011 and never got the return on that particular investment due to injuries..but pay him they did. Steelers got the most out of Woodley's career and rightfully cut him now.
  15. Hughes last season put up the same numbers Woodley did in 2010 when he was still in his prime. There are countless positions that can be addressed where starters are actually needed as opposed to depth. We need LG, MLB, FS and TE.
  16. I dont see it. We already have hughes to rush the passer on outside.
  17. The hypocrisy behind online gambling is amazing. Forever online gambling was illegal in NJ and now there are banners everywhere on highways and the radio has gambling commercials non-stop, followed of course by their lovely "gambling problem" disclaimer. In a split second it goes from bad to awesome. Continuing to describe sports gambling as evil and something that would corrupt sports is a waste of breath. Every sports show on TV and the radio and every newspaper addresses "spreads" for games on Sundays. Can someone tell me what exactly is the point of discussing "spreads" if not for sports gambling? Anyone? Anyone? Anyone? Sports gambling is a reality and making it legal would not corrupt sports any more than they already are.
  18. Thinking about it as well, I think my last true favorite player was Bruce Smith. Maybe I should've phrased the question better and asked, if you were to drop $110 on a jersey, who's jersey would you buy? I'd have a hard time deciding.
  19. I was really big on Hairston as well, and I still have hope that he can return and contribute. That being said, we can't go into next season relying on Hairston. I know the Hairston topic has been covered before, but Hairston disappearing from the face of the earth over an injury that nobody seems to have a clue about is a disconcerting. Thankfully Hairston recently said on twitter that he was a full-go for spring workouts. So we'll see what happens.
  20. lmao LOL! Unfortunately I'm no longer 12, but I still root harder for some players more than others.
  21. Thats the very reason i listed him - because its amusing. ;-)
  22. Man if we could sign Saffold to play RT or heck, even LG and then draft either LG (Yankey) or RT in the draft, I'd be very very happy. I'm really big on Saffold. Glenn /// Yankey /// Wood /// Urbik /// Saffold That's a stellar OL.
  23. I agree that he looks like he may develop into a player, but favorite player? Lets just say our secondary is going to be awesome if he becomes our favorite player.
