  1. With the change in DC, do you guys view MLB as our single biggest need? I'd say it's probably up there with LG now, if not bigger. We currently don't have anyone on our roster who can play the mike on a consistent basis in the NFL. If we don't land one via the draft or FA, this defense is going to struggle big time next season (IMO). I think the likelihood of us taking CJ Mosley at 9 is now higher than ever. Alabama lines up in the 4-3 the large majority of the time (despite them saying they're a 3-4) and Mosley is arguably the best ILB in this class. If not Mosley, the ONLY UFA ILB that would be worth anything is Jon Beason - he actually played pretty damn well for the Giants this year. He could possibly hold the fort for 1-2 seasons. That's it folks. If anyone can find me a mike LB that is an UFA that I missed please post. Unless we go with a Dansby type LB who normally plays ILB on a 3-4, I don't know where else we'd possibly go. Your thoughts on other viable options?
  2. 1. Seattle is an outdoor team and they aren't located in Panama. 2. When they played in the meadowlands earlier this season they destroyed the Giants. I agree
  3. Haha. I think it's more on Stafford than it is the coach. Stafford throws the ball from multiple release points and quite frequently side-armed. drives me mad watching him play at times (I wouldn't say I like the Lions but for whatever reason I find myself watching plenty of their games every season). And though he's still young, he has been in the league now 5 seasons. I don't want to go as far as to say "he is what he is" but I don't see anyone teaching that dog new tricks. I fully expect a bunch of winning seasons from Stafford in the future, along with plenty of bad seasons.
  4. He definitely is young (25 I believe?), but much like his throwing mechanics, his consistency is all over the place. Not what you want from a "franchise" QB who is owed a lot of $$$. And Stafford's inconsistency is as much to blame as anything else for the Lions failures during Schwartz's tenure (which was my original point).
  5. I don't see how comparing Stafford to the Bills record can be a positive endorsement. Stafford was the #1 Pick in the NFL draft and is getting paid BOATLOADS of money. Yet in 5 years he has compiled a 24-37 record playing with what may turn out to be the greatest WR in NFL history. I can't take away from his stats, but the guy simply isn't a winner.
  6. good info, thanks. yeah I totally forgot about the GaTech connection. Makes sense.
  7. Just speaking for myself here. But what I saw last season was an improved Miami O-line after Martin and Incognito bounced
  8. HAHA. I was going to post the exact same thing. Well said.
  9. Not doubting you at all, just curious if you read that somewhere or heard it somewhere? Man that would've been awesome. Who knows how his career would've turned out over here. He's in a good place right now.
  10. In 5 NFL seasons, Stafford has a W/L record of 24-37 in games he starts. 24-37. I understand it's a "team" game, but that's god-awful for someone who's supposed to be "good". Not only that, by looking at his games, one can almost make the argument that he has actually regressed as an NFL QB the last 2 seasons (after his best season in 2011).
  11. Seattle 24 Denver 20
  12. Sweet! Never saw the E60
  13. http://m.espn.go.com/nfl/story?storyId=10362460 Solid article on Broncos D. Thomas.
  14. Another Trent Dilfer sighting.
  15. Yeah, I agree. He has one of those personalities where you want to root for him b/c he seems like a big kid. He has surely made mistakes and hopefully it's all in the past.
  16. Getting Hardy will not put us over the top of anything. Having EJ play like a top 20 NFL QB will get this franchise over the top with/without Hardy, or even Byrd for that matter.
  17. Lions have primarily failed b/c Stafford is a horrible QB and grossly overpaid. I'd rather have no QB with the prospect of obtaining one than to be tied up to that mess long-term.
  18. Great article on ML NoSaint.
  19. I kinda like those warm-up jackets the players are wearing. Seattle appears to be ahead of the game with their uniforms/apparel (IMO) I fully realize some people hate the modern, Oregon-type uni's that are becoming more prominent but I love 'em
  20. I hear ya NoSaint. My argument then, as it is today, was that ML definitely didn't know what condition she was in b/c I truly believe he had no idea he even "hit" her. The police report only mentioned a bruise on the hip and her needing a couple of stitches (from what I recall reading at the time). I'm not arguing against the stupidity of his actions that night (getting behind the wheel). I'm just saying I don't believe he was aware that he hit her that night, and combining her limited injuries with the fact that he was driving an SUV, I can totally see a scenario where he nicked her and he'd never be aware. I'll leave that at that. Water under the bridge.
  21. Left to die on the street? From what I recall she didn't even have a broken bone on her body.
  22. eh. still like the guy despite all the haters.
  23. Indeed. Irony is that seattle drafted high on oline and that may be weakest side of the team.
