  1. If he pllays RT well for 3 years without playing LT hes not going to get paid elite money to play LT.
  2. There are 2 cornerstones of a D that deserve top money: a great pass rusher and a great CB. You fill in what u can around that. That being said, we still shouldve franchised byrd.
  3. Did i miss his "breakout"?
  4. Wilfork is a D-BAG. The end.
  5. Who knows. The Panthers plan to meet with him. The panthers pick 28th this year. The Ravens pick 17th. Maybe the Ravens want to look at him in case he drops to 10 or early teens and they trade up to get him. Panthers have no chance of landing Ebron, IMO.
  6. I feel that a young QB's best friend is to stand in the pocket comfortably with all the time in the world to throw the ball. That's why I hope that if we do target Ebron we can get him while trading down so we can also address OL in round 2, in addition to other positions we need.
  7. I'd much rather keep A. Williams at SS. I've read many comments about how simple it seemingly is to move a player from SS to FS and have him succeed. IMO, FS position is much more instinctual than physical. And like we know, instincts can't be taught - you either have them or you don't. Byrd had them. He was able to diagnose passing plays very well and was usually in the right place at the right time. SS is more of a masher-type position which relies more on physical strength and tackling skills than coverage skills. Can A. Williams play FS? Possibly. But it could also be a disaster. I'm excited to see Duke play (if he does end up starting). I never saw him play in college, so unfortunately i can't formulate my own opinion. I have read very positive reviews on his play from his college days.
  8. for me, if we could possibly trade down 3-4 spots and take Ebron at 12 or 13 and then pick up an extra 2nd rd. pick, that would be stellar! If one of top 3 OT is there at 9, maybe we could trade down to 12 with the Giants - they could use some OL help for Elijah. Just thinking out loud. Question is, would the Lions take Ebron at 10? Or the Titans at 11?
  9. I would much rather keep A. Williams at SS and have Duke battle it out with a FS we draft in first 3 rounds. There is no easy way to replace Byrd as many here would like to believe but what's done is done. should we try and bring Leonhard back as a "veteran" safety blanket? I think he said '14 was giong to be his last season.
  10. Ah, gotcha. I digress then. My bad
  11. Williams was drafted #34 and Byrd was drafted in 40's... Sooooooooooooo there goes that argument. And williams showed plenty last season. I mean i did not support letting byrd go, but at least be accurate in the assessment.
  12. Yes to Gilmore, no to Spiller. Spiller is turning 27 and can't stay on the field as is. No point in extending him. We need to focus on Dareus.
  13. eh, I've called out sick before when I wasn't REALLY sick.
  14. Very valid point. SJ has enough emotion and antics for the entire WR corps imo

  17. LMAO. 100LBS for guards. damn that's a lot of beef.
  18. I voted for Evans. Elite WR > Elite TE (assuming they're both elite) Hackett would put Ebron along the OL to run block.
  19. You're not wrong Biscuit and the opposite view is not right and vice/versa. At the end of the day, regardless of the position that is taken, I want someone who will dominate at his position. No busts.
  20. here's an article that talks about it. http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2013/12/31/5257982/buffalo-bills-have-option-to-add-fifth-year-to-marcell-dareus-contract Dareus is on his 4th and final year of his rookie contract this season and we have a club option for a 5th year that we need to exercise by May 3rd. As an alternative, we can sign him to a long-term extension instead. We better do the latter b/c if Dareus has another pro bowl season this year, you bet your ARS he'll be demanding top 3 DT money next year and here we go again with this nonsense.
  21. That they do. But Cutler himself was quoted saying this season that a large part of the passing games success was b/c of the improved OL play. And that's the entire point: we see the QB throw the ball to the WR, we want that. We want that kind of explosive play and who wouldn't. But how does that play develop 80% of the time? Nobody cares about the pass blocking that gave cutler 4+ seconds to throw a bomb to Marshall. I was referring to Chicago's passing game with "look at what Chicago did". Chicago has done a 180 from a dominant D and lousy offense to a dominant offense and lousy D.
