Not a good comparison, this kid and Putin. Putin doesn't have to be concerned with suffering any personal consequences for his actions while the shooter currently identified as Tyler Robinson should have had no illusions about the consequence of his actions if and when he was caught. One element of intelligence is to evaluate the current situation and generate some forecast of the future. Maybe he wasn't good at this type of thinking or just didn't care.

Iryna Zarutska Mural Fund
All_Pro_Bills replied to BillsFanNC's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
For me the story was more about how the media and the city government buried the murder. The mayor said we appreciate our media partners not showing the video. Perhaps a bad choice of words or a slip of the tongue but it gives a clue about the alliance and relationship between the dems and media. Partners? The words gives away their game. -

Big yawn. -
None of this conversation on CNN invoking the standard racism arguments explains why the media ignored this story for a couple weeks until they couldn't because of social media exposure. Now they're just playing damage control and kill the messenger. Another hill to die on for the liberals rather than just admit it was what it is here. a vicious murder. Notice how none of the usual posters here parroting lib talking points on everything have chimed in on any of the topics on the murder on PPP. Maybe they're waiting for instructions on how to address it per the cult of chaos's instructions?

I acknowledge your perspective. But from my perspective Trump's agenda is restoring civil and social order in the U.S. Its the liberal establishment that has caused disarray and chaos. They care about 3 things. Trans rights, supporting illegal immigrants, coddling criminals. What else do they stand for? As for Trump I'm no fan but the alternative is worse.

If I'm following the lesser of two evils is Carney. But Carney is a hardcore globalist that champions the European model that transfers national sovereignty to organizations such as the EU and the IMF. I don't understand how citizens of Europe and also Canada do not perceive those actions to be anti-democracy. National elections mean nothing as power is transferred to International orgs. Look at Europe now. The UK is failing, they might as well declare themselves an Islamic caliphate and drop the illusion, in France the government is on the verge of bankruptcy and Macron's administration is likely history, Germany is in disarray along with a failing economy. Why does anyone believe Russia is intent on taking over these European welfare states? Canada appears intent on following the same path. Any political leader that articulates any policy driven by obvious national interest or for the good of citizens is tagged as an authoritarian or a fascist. or worst, being directed by American anti-Christ Trump. I wish Trump would tone down the rhetoric and he gets no style points but he is not always wrong like the Democrats imagine. Frankly, I believe most of them are suffering from some sort of mental disorder that inhibits their ability to recognize reality. The latest delusion being peddled is Trump's plan to send the National Guard to various cities is a prelude to efforts to "rig" the 2026 elections. Rather than dream up fantasies they might want to spend their time articulating actual policy positions.

Anybody know this weekend's body count?

The MSM is more of a problem than the criminals. In its current capacity nobody should expect objectivity. Activism prohibits that sort of reporting. At this point the media operates as the propaganda ministry for Democrat and liberal narratives and suppresses anything that conflicts with those generally insane positions. While libs think of themselves as super intelligent the reality is they're mentally defective.

I think it has to do with their early life experiences in the 1960's protest movement fighting the establishment. In their minds as older adults today, that's what they believe they'll still doing. But what they cannot comprehend is they are the establishment. It's a generational case of cognitive dissonance.

Didn't you hear? He's going to cancel all future US elections and name himself president for life. And then inform the public he's the first subject in a cyborg experiment that will enable him to live another 1,000 years. LOL.

Trump is Putin’s Employee

What would you suggest doing differently to demonstrate no allegience to Putin given the world's current international political and economic arrangements? -
Obviously, we need to differentiate between the approach to the situation of handling domestic events and military encounters. I'm more than happy to agree to and concede that point. And sure there are many different scenarios and approaches to intercede on the speedboat. But the commander on site needs to assess the situation and the risks while arriving at a decision of how to act. As I can do hypothetical too, let's say he decided to give the occupants of the boat the "white glove" treatment and launch a boat or two to intercept the cartel crew. And as a result the operation goes south and 3 or 4 of his crew get killed? Marines, Seals, or some other crew members making up the boarding party. Now there are 3 or 4 families demanding answers and inquires by the Navy about the decision to put the crew at risk. And ask why alternative methods of acting were not taken. The commander needs to do what's needed to achieve the mission but he also has a major obligation and duty to his crew. And not putting their lives at risk of harm to demonstrate compassion to the enemy where there's close to 100% certainty they're heavily armed is something to be avoided. If its me my priority is to achieve the objectives of the mission and make sure every one of my guys ends the day alive. If that means scratching about a dozen dirt bags instead of taking unnecessary risks with the lives of American servicemen then that's what it is going to be. That's pretty much all I have to say on this topic.

I think you're hung up on the process and not focusing on the goal which is results. The goal is to stop the flow of drugs. For 40+ years we played a game of pretend. The government pretends its working and the public pretends to believe it. Meanwhile, the drugs and money keep flowing. So let's apply some logic. That wasn't a fishing boat. The film shows a vessel with 3 big outboards capable of generating high speeds. That's not a general attribute of a boat designed to fish. Our Navy guys with experience at sea can figure this out. You want to question their judgment or their actions? Go ahead. And then there's reality and results. I'll wager running drugs in high speed water craft is off the table going forward. As far as legal authority? Who cares? Sue us. Bring charges to the International Court. The US Navy can do pretty much whatever they want to here. Or anywhere. Who's going to stop them? The Venezuelan military isn't going to stop them. Our military could destroy their entire offensive capacity in what might be a day or two. Maybe that gives the go signal to dissidents to overthrow Maduro? Another positive. And the Cartels? If they engage, or likely when they engage, and kill American service personnel or execute terror attacks on US soil the response will be an overwhelming show of force that will green light operations to take them all out. Another target should be taking out all the bankers, financiers, and middlemen moving money around for the cartels. That includes any Chinese gangs running money laundering operations in the US, Canada, and Mexico. It makes no sense to build the military capability of full spectrum dominance and then be afraid to use it when necessary. And in this battle against the cartels its necessary. Its not about due process, or the constitution, or some judge issuing injunctions. Its a military operation bound by specific rules of engagement and apparently one of those rules is that its acceptable to take out a high speed power boat running drugs. Unless anyone wants to suggest they were out on a sightseeing tour there's nothing more here.

Not much concern for "due process" back then. A significant number of these strikes were in Pakistan. Not a country we were at war with or one that gave any official permission to the U.S. to conduct airstrikes. The real kicker here is Obama wins the peace prize. But this was all in response to 9/11 and the effort to track down bin Laden. The public was behind the effort and the administration could use the war on terror as justification when it suited the need. Also, the political divide that exists today didn't exist when Obama was in office. As both Dems and Reps generally all love a good war and being against killing "terrorists" regardless of the amount of collateral damage would get you labeled as unpatriotic. At the time Bush and his neocon crew were running the Republican party so a Democrat President that bombed people wasn't going to get any push back. There's a big difference today as political conflict is extreme on even the most mundane issue.

Trump 47, Putin & The Ukraine War.
All_Pro_Bills replied to BillsFanNC's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
If Trump wants to hit India hard you don't do it with tariffs. You target the IT services and outsourcing business provided to 100's of US companies. Its a double play. You get ModI's full attention and suggest to US firms they bring these jobs back home. As a kicker maybe sanction remittances sent from the US back to India via H1B workers. That's billions. They'll dump those Russian oil purchases quick. And if they don't the economy there takes a huge hit. -
Here's the thing. Almost all of us have ancestors that came to this country from other places. And while they kept remnants and characteristics of their original country and culture there was an expectation they would assimilate into American culture and adopt the attributes and characteristics of that culture. They had to learn English. The had to work. They had to support their families. They received no social assistance. And they did just that. Here's the problem today. Because of the concept of multi-culturalism there is no longer an expectation of assimilation into the culture of the host country. The expectation of these newly arrived migrants is they can "drag and drop" their home culture and customs anywhere they choose to settle. Most receive generous social assistance at the expense of the locals. Add in liberal social justice types that somehow get elected that accommodate this trend and you get chaos. Add in local governments and cops that have lost all sense of morality and duty. Like in some cities here protecting the perps. That's the UK. What amazes me is how much crap the English are willing to take before they're driven to go all Rambo on the pervs.

November 2026 The Mid-Terms

Rather than manufacturing paranoid fantasies about some coup cancelling elections Democrats might want to spend their time articulating a rational platform of policies and initiatives to address issues and problems facing Americans. Just being against anything Trump is for isn't going to cut it.
