  1. That was my suggestion as the closest thing to Hill in this draft.
  2. This is big. He’s a HUGE reason for their continued success in the run game over the years.
  3. Do people remember that this is exactly how Jimbo’s career ended? Bills announced that they would not be re-signing him.
  4. Ironically, it’s one reason why getting Clowney (or trading for Campbell if that doesn’t work out) is item 1B for me (1A is getting a WR1 in FA/trade).
  5. Star was probably our best run defender not named Shaq Lawson
  6. Is that true regarding Ngakoue? I mean, per football outsiders, the Jags’ best area for Adjusted Line Yards was left end—where Yannick plays. They were a full yard per carry better there than anywhere else.
  7. Not that this has to mean anything in particular, but the 22nd and 29th ranked teams in YPC allowed are facing each other for the Lombardi trophy on Sunday.
  8. I would be absolutely fine with that. I only mean that I think Armstead is going to want double digit sack money, and I don’t think that’s his base production level in any defense that isn’t as solid across the frontline as SF.
  9. Ah, but if they tag Yannick, then you can be darn near certain that they’d listen to an offer for Campbell... Huh? The two EDGE guys opposite Jerry had a combined 11.5 sacks...
  10. As long as folks are okay with him being a gadget guy a la McKenzie for a while then this could be a viable pick. Aside from the fact that he’s not very refined as a WR, he would also be stepping into one of the most complicated offensive schemes in the game (this is per our current WRs).
  11. Just popping in to say that Arkansas State WR Omar Bayless is the player that all of BillsMafia wishes Duke Williams could be. That boy is a red zone target if I’ve ever seen one.
  12. Not sure what you mean...I am saying that there are a number of aging EDGE guys that could get moved in trades. I’m also saying that I expect Buffalo to sign at least one high-priced EDGE guy in FA. Shouldn't read anymore into my post than that.
  13. I imagine that they’re looking at all the EDGE guys; I’m really hoping for Clowney or Ngakoue, but ya never know what a UFA’s priorities will be—I mean the number is probably going to be there for them in multiple destinations. I’ll say that it wouldn’t surprise me if the Bills were prepared to settle for Mario Addison as a fallback option. His production is very similar to Ngakoue over the last 4 seasons and he’ll come cheaper since he’s getting up there in age. Plus there’s the whole Carolina connection. Still think there’s a better than fair chance that at least one veteran EDGE guy from the group of Campbell, Griffen, Miller, and C. Jones gets moved in a trade.
  14. I guess what I’m saying is that it’s hard to see the merit in knocking a guy with 37 sacks over 4 years for not contributing against the run and then advocate for signing a guy with one productive season as a pass rusher which only came once he was surrounded by 3 other first round picks along the DL. I would be hesitant to give Armstead the premier pass rush money he may want because I don’t have confidence that he can perform anywhere near his 10 sack output once his supporting cast is Hughes/Star/Oliver as opposed to Bosa/Buckner/Ford.
  15. Armstead did nothing as a pass rusher until he was the #4 on a DL that featured Bosa, Ford, and Buckner. That’s not exactly a dude with no holes in his game.
  16. Unbelievable, isn’t it? The same poster that tells other people that they don’t know what “raw” means then uses the term to describe a player offered scholarships by 15 schools (including Clemson and Auburn), became a 3-year college starter, played under a former NFL head coach in Bobby Petrino, and transitioned to an NFL offense that Greg Roman shaped to mirror everything that Jackson did in college. Safe to say that I will be putting less stock into certain content following that gem.
  17. I miraculously avoided certain death when a young lady crossed 3 lanes of traffic and hit my vehicle nearly head-on 7 years ago. She was in a suburban. Her story as to why she was driving the wrong way on a 5-lane road (Sheridan Dr in front of Park CC for those of you that know WNY) was that she had a panic attack...that story began to change when the police started asking questions. Mrs Bandit is convinced that she was texting.
  18. Except for the parts that aren’t true like the ones that I pointed out. And he wasn’t a 56% passer last year. And he doesn’t miss on checkdowns and screens. His problem is that he doesn’t take his check down often enough. But once again, it’s clear that you’re really only interested in talking about what he does poorly, and completely ignore anything that resembles a sign of improvement. I don’t know why, and frankly I’m more or less done trying to figure it out.
  19. Indeed. Laviska is a RB playing WR right now.
  20. Oh you “came across” that huh? While looking for what just out of curiosity? ? I can’t claim to be an apologist, but there’s definitely parts of that I disagree with; namely the idea that he can’t throw touch passes and needs to speed up his drops. He’s also improved areas such as coming off his first read too early and failing to set his feet. I suppose I’m more curious as to what the point of posting a pre-draft evaluation is? I mean, the implication appears to be that he’s no better now than he was then, but that would be a ridiculous assertion to even to biggest of anti-Allen folks.
  21. I think it’s fine to spend money on the DL, but if you’re going to do it, then get an elite pass rusher instead of spending a lot on a few role players. You’ve got Star and Murphy at reasonable contracts now. Why pay them dead money to sign Shaq and Jordan to what will likely be inflated deals? JMO of course. As for my preference, I’m in favor of spending the most money at premier positions. The highest paid positions in the game are QB, LT, WR, pass rusher, and CB. Right now we’re paying zero elite level salaries, and we’ve got a stay on QB for at least 2 seasons. Dawkins and Tre are coming up for new deals, so the LT and CB dominoes will fall. To me, that means you should go out and throw elite salaries at elite players at EDGE and WR.
  22. I ran into the Colts a few years ago downtown prior to a game at The Ralph; nice kids, but all they had to say was “is this all y’all got?” with regard to downtown life. I gave them a few recommendations for food and drink, but @NoSaint is right—compared to what they usually see in downtown atmospheres, Buffalo is lousy.
  23. The interesting thing about your statement is that it’s actually exactly how the Rams and Chiefs approached things with their young QBs. Now obviously the QB is going to have to be good regardless, but the fact that Mahomes has had an elite WR, RB, TE, and another very good WR is definitely a component of why he’s been so dominant. It’s even more evident with regard to Goff; McVay got that job and immediately brought in Cooks, Woods, Watkins, Kupp, Everett, Reynolds, & Higbee. I would love to see Buffalo make a similar effort with Allen. Make his targets so good that he has literally no excuse for not getting the job done.
  24. IIFYM bruh ?? Maybe Hapless has seen pics of Mrs Bandit and figured that I must be a stud to land that fox ?
