  1. He punched a photographer at Von Miller's Halloween party and broke his jaw. Imo, that is the worst known offense. The trespass/vacuum cleaner thing was not violent, just embarrassingly bizarre. No forced entry and no aggression toward the residents. Most all the others are out-of-control, adolescent-like tantrums. I would suggest that he did not enter the field of school game and get in a fight, he entered a game that had transformed into a brawl (which was suspended and never resumed, btw) where his brother was in a bad spot. Not smart but I don't know how dumb I might be for my brother. He never was "in the fight" as some have posted. He has an unmatched cycle of successes and emotional failures that some budding mental health professional could write a thesis on. Chase Daniel has made $41 M and Chad is way better than him. Chad's flawed sense of ego/self control has likely cost him 8 figures in earnings. I think he knows this all too well. I hope he has gotten some counseling and suspect he might have when with the Colts. He was never lazy about his craft but could never handle being told "no." He fights authority and authority always wins. I do agree with him that his combination of play making ability, mobility and arm talent is better than most QBs in the NFL. C.Biscuit must be a Canisius man.
  2. His dad works/worked for Wegmans and his mom is/was a school teacher. Seems middle class to me but rich is a relative term. He was on the field because his brother was dogpiled in the other team's bench area. Seemed he was willing to do more but never made it to the fight. He could have been more calculating and thought "this is a bad look and could hurt my draft status" but it was "my brother was cheap shotted and is on the ground and outnumbered on their sideline and in a melee- I need to do something." This is one incident involving him that was more of a mole hill than a mountain, imo.
  3. He did. Heading into the playoffs post 2020 season. I thought maybe it was a COVID related contingency.
  4. Btw, CFL games are available in the US on CBSSN or livestreamed on CFL+. The Argos play at 3:30 today.
  5. Jim has many nephews that play football. We in WNY have been hearing about Chad since he was a 4X PPK champion and every screw up made public made the local news. The same with every success. Imo, we care because he's very talented and is connected to WNY. If he had grown up in East Brady we would not care all that much. My 84 year old mother and 88 year old aunt love to watch him play. They know about his bad press and have empathy for his family. Fundamentally, one can believe in redemption or not.
  6. So, they have us covered? That's the elite metaphor I needed!
  7. Canada is the best of neighbors in many ways. They have our back.
  8. Massive PI. I never saw the ball bounce off the ground. Looked like his arm was underneath.
  9. Imo, this is the thinking that leads Broussard to that conclusion. Also, can you imagine Manning or Brady being addressed by a teammate in a game like Josh was by Diggs? Whatever was being said doesn't matter to many, the look was a lasting negative one in that regard.
  10. I am listenting to Joe Marino's Locked On podcast for tomorrow which he posts on Youtube the afternoon/evening prior. He is featuring an All 22 Review and has lots of points to make and it's worth a listen, as per usual. He says of the 6 pressures Josh faced, 3 were on him for bailing prematurely from a clean pocket and thus creating the pressure. Josh would be very tough to block for as his movements are unpredictable and extended plays create more chances for OL allowed pressure and holding calls. Joe Marino All-22 Review
  11. I paid for MLBTV Oriole games this year in expectation of their ascendency. He delivers a smooth stream of factual content but lacks a discernable personality. In that work environment that make sense now. I think he is at his best when he works with Palmer.
  12. The kind of idiocy at the top that will ruin nice things. And the Orioles are full of them nice things to ruin. Thing was that Brown read the history from pregame PR notes and someone in production made a graphic that said as much. This is Captain Queeg and strawberries kind of thinking by Angelos. Brown back in the booth tonight.
  13. I am not so sure. If grits can be kissed, I think they could get chapped.
  14. I knew of the story but I just watched the video now for the full details. Oh my.
  15. Here's the story. chautauqua-county-girl-risks-life-to-save-others-in-fatal-house-fire
  16. Thinking of the wisdom of George Carlin.
  17. Cam Newton suffered a shoulder injury on this hit by TJ Watt. It ruined his season and required surgery which was not 100% successful. The take-a-way is that he was stationery and in the throwing motion when he took the hit. So Cam should not be the go to poster boy for running QBs being at greater risk of serious injury as many suggest. watt-jars-ball-loose-with-big-hit wr-torrey-smith-cam-newton-tj-watt-josh-allen
  18. Of course the media has over reacted to the story but it's the inevitable result of Diggs' offseason of cryptic social media activity and McDermott's "very concerned" response to a question. They can say they want to keep it in house but what little bit of detail they have shared with the public is just fuel for the media speculation fire. Josh is 100% right about the media but it's not like he can call out his HC and teammate and blame them for being the cause of it. That would be even a bigger media story. My sense is that some media types are more thin skinned than they ought to be.
  19. maybe the first part is a Stefon Diggs style cryptic statement but that's the best I got. The second part is about Chad Kelly, starting QB of the CFL's Toronto Argonauts. I too enjoy watching Chad play. CBS Sports Network has many of the CFL games including the one on Monday. There is also a streaming option available in the US called CFL+.
  20. If it happened it was certainly less publicized than before. Entering the offseason, Josh was to avoid elbow surgery by allowing it some time for rest and recovery. However long that may have lasted. I had ignored this thread based on the title. Reaction to that kind of off season rumor chasing holds little of my interest. But, it has evolved into some more interesting territory. I'll add this. Josh's 2019 season was considered a mixed bag where many were not convinced he had the right stuff and then saw 2020 as his breakout. some still talk like the bills made the playoffs in spite of Josh's play. When you look at his 2019 splits fourth quarters, road games, redzone, and 3rd and long situations Josh was among the best in the league. My bias is that these are the type of situations where the QB "it factor" is revealed. I think it is interesting that 2022 Josh fell short of 2019 Josh in those 4 splits, most notably redzone. I think the sense he took a step back originates from there. That and the fact that his last game was a dud.
  21. Turn right on Big Tree at the light by Tops.
  22. Maybe someone had this thought already but................ since McD's current deal had him signed through 2025, this seems like a giant Terry Pegula extended middle finger to the likes of Florio and Cowherd.
  23. Two things to consider. New stadium construction is likely to stress the typical parking situation in a major way so check back closer to game day. A sneaky move is to head south then east and through the nearly empty downtown. Park at Bert's bikes at Southwestern across from ECC where there is a traffic light to exit. Turn right, right again at Big Tree and then to route 5. It's the naked bootleg of routes to the airport.
  24. He had quite a winning streak on the coin toss when he was calling it. Maybe he subbed a loaded coin.
  25. I think this may be it but I would suggest a different causation than the play call. Stefon knows how the offense is designed, how Josh is coached to run it, how he should be used within any particular game plan, whether he is legit open or not and if the ball should come to him. Half way through the season, Josh injures his elbow and the offensive line has periods of poor pass protection, yet Josh holds the ball, targets deeper routes to players not named Diggs and the offense seems less efficient and becomes more boom or bust. Dorsey is unable to bend Josh's play style to fit what is actually designed and Diggs is frustrated by it. Thus Josh saying he personally needs to be a better QB and teammate. In essence, apologizing for being stubborn. So, is it Dorsey play calls or is it Josh's deviation from them in his decision making?
