  1. I disagree in this case to be honest. I used to bleed Sabres colors, and was probably known as 'that sabres guy' to some people along my life. This is awful. I didn't watch 1 full game last year (perhaps a combined 60 minutes), and probably watched a combined 5 games the 2 seasons prior. I gave up my season tickets of about 20 years. I had realized when I go to games, all I could think about was leaving. It was boring and the team brought no entertainment or joy. Cant manage meaningful games at any point. Game nights I was kind of dreading the hassle of attending and the waste of time. It has been absolutely ruined. I dont see it getting any better in the near or mid term, and with current joke management, I don't see this working out until 3-5 years down the line where we have the hope that they turn in good faith to real management. This team went from toast of the town, to them choosing not to sell tickets for most games coming out of an extended absence because they knew nobody would want to go and they didnt want the embarrassment.
  2. Im watching it closely, but not too concerned. The hardest thing for young quarterbacks is breaking through and surviving as a capable starter for a few years until they hit the next level. The Patriots have set the stage well for Jones and he can possibly get through the typical growing pains. However, it does seem he has a fairly low ceiling. The quarterbacks of 2021 are different than the quarterbacks of previous generations. Athleticism is a must. Pocket-Passers are more of a detriment now with few exceptions. These guys all need to possess some elite traits to excel and be worth that second contract. There also seems to be more awesome quarterbacks than ever and they keep coming out of the college ranks.
  3. I went online to buy season tickets (already have some, but would love to add a pair). A rep called me back and offered to put me on a wait list for possibly 2022 if any become available. I guess those 750 season tickets are long gone.
  4. The older I get, fights at sporting events look more and more silly. Everyone having a supercomputer with an HD video camera in their pocket doesnt help. Im proud of Bills home games. The fights in-stadium have gone down precipitously over the years. There were a ton of Pittsburgh fans at the opener, the game went sideways for the Bills and I didnt witness 1 fight (and I sit in the cheap seats). I know there were certainly fights somewhere... but if it were 2005, Im sure I would have personally witnessed at least 4 fights. I made it a point to shake a Pittsburgh fan's hand on my walk of shame out of our section and out of the game. If you cant have a few drinks without throwing fists... its probably time to stop doing something you cannot handle.
  5. Pretty much this. There is an established waiting list. Those 750 tickets are probably gone already.
  6. Flores has done a good job there, as has Grier. They have turned a laughing stock into a decent team in pretty short order. The two dustings by the Bills in games that matter really hurts though. As does missing the playoffs last season. IMO Brissett is a perfect QB for them right now (not Tua). I thought he played great yesterday, all things considered. They might get a Ryan Fitzpatrick type of bump if Tua misses time. I think they will struggle to get to 10 wins, which could likely miss the playoffs. At that point, they are past the point where everyone is impressed and it is a flat out disappointment.
  7. It wasn't a cheap hit or over-the top unnecessary/rough. Tua got clobbered. If it didn't happen there, it wouldnt have taken long. He was sacked 2 other times in the 1st drive. Brissett was a magician getting out of some pretty dangerous situations. Their pass blocking was non-existent. Even being a magician, Brissett is probably in a tub of ice this morning.
  8. The more I am remembering about it and savoring, like good aged wine... I gotta say that might have been a masterpiece by Millen yesterday. The list in the OP made me laugh out loud multiple times.
  9. When I start to get agitated by a guy like Millen, dierdorf, or booger... I stop and think about this point. These guys aren't polished... but they seem to love the sport and being there. It comes across and is 100x more genuine than collinsworth polished "phoniness" which ends up boring and unremarkable. I always remember goofy things millen/dierdorf/booger says long after the game and laugh. I don't think that has to be a negative thing
  10. This is how you punch a divisional challenger in the mouth.
  11. I think I had less heated debates over Russ Brandon here tbh
  12. While, Im fine with the policy for the most part, I think I agree that refunds should have been offered for everyone, within a reasonable window. I don't think it is fair to sell the seats, then change the rules on something they know people are dug-in on. I dont think there would be an issue flipping the refunded seats at this point.
  13. I wonder how much overlap there is between people who wont get vaccinated and thinks the Bills are in violation of the Bill of Rights vs people who are boycotting over players kneeling? Hogan/Willig is dying for someone to set up a gofundme page for them to put up a ton of billable hours and get free publicity.
  14. Just heard the PS&E guy on WGR and he was kind of linking the relationship/cooperation between this policy and stadium talks.
  15. The PS&E guy was on WGR and he sounded very confident in everything, saying that the vaccine policy agreement is the same level of cooperation and respect as the stadium talks... and it is a pleasure working with the State and EC and he will be back on commenting when they get further and there is something he can comment on.
  16. Not sure I really agree with this rule... but it is what it is. The choice is simple. get vaccinated, or don't attend games. If you have tickets it should be easy to recoup your money at this point. Season Tickets can be outright refunded.
  17. ha, I was just kidding. Funny to imagine someone prepping for several years with a backstory. Welcome.
  18. Are the Bills (and Sabres) the only teams/venues in NA Pro sports with this policy at this time?
  19. I have no problem with this, but of course I am vaccinated
  20. Yeah, they started off winning like 1 of their 1st 20 games or something, which essentially doomed the franchise here. I ended up with free tickets one time and attended a game with 3 of my buddies, we were around 22-24ish. So we didnt know the rules or format of the sport, but we were having a blast getting into the game and cheering/yelling for plays we thought would be good... booing at the right moments. People around us were getting into it a bit too. Low and behold in the 2nd quarter, our usher told us to be quiet and stay in our seats. We left in the 3rd quarter and never came back.
  21. They were in Buffalo for like 3-5 years I think
  22. Notre dame snuck past toledo. Better move them up 5 spots.
  23. I have kind of buried the whole thing a bit... but recently watched the first episodes of the Netflix doc and the Nat Geo doc. It is pretty insane to think about all this and everything that happened in and around these attacks. I still remember a lot from that day. I find it pretty amazing and fortunate that the death toll was 'only' 2,977 or whatever it was. I mean, what a horrible, staggering number and so many lives altered at that impetus... but with how many people are were in and around the WTC, along with the brutality of the attack, it is fortunate there were so many survivors.
  24. Id say it is still pretty good. Its probably very close to the Pac 12 overall. Losing Oklahoma hurts bad... and while Texas is probably a money-getter, their football program has been mediocre for more than a decade.
  25. there goes Houston, UCF, and Cincinnati
