  1. His complaint as far as I know doesn't mention that. Just mentions the boos from the crowd and cries about it and paints "bills fans" with a broad ignorant brush. If he were to say something along the lines of "please bills fans, if we disagree on the topic of vaccination, please leave the kids out of it" that's pretty unimpeachible
  2. I thought he was great in Police Academy 2 and One Crazy Summer.
  3. Wow, what a baby. Everything about this team gives me the warm and fuzzies but this guy. Ill even overlook the vaccination stuff as long as he is catching footballs and isn't becoming a distraction... but come on.
  4. I usually have an aversion to female announcers to tell the truth. Its probably a bit neanderthal and misogynistic burned in over my 43 years, but it just doesn't seem right to me, especially for a sport like American Football which they never really played. Of course there are plenty of male broadcasters who have the same playing experience, but I overlook it. Anyways, I thought she was perfectly fine, even very good. My 8 year old kid couldnt stand her though. We had to go somewhere and we got in the car, and he was outwardly happy that Murphy was announcing. I thought that was interesting because he doesnt have 43 years of bias baked in yet (I defended her as an announcer to him). I actually think Murphy is a terrible radio announcer.
  5. Nothing wrong with 'quality' of opponent. Miami was everyone's hot take to win the Division the past 2 years, and Washington had a scary defense, magic QB, and favored to win their Division. Even if they are proved out to be bad, then you can consider there is no cake-walk in the NFL. I think its also clear that Tua was set for a long day vs the Bills' defense. He was getting smoked early on. Anyways. The thing that is so impressive about this Bills team right now, is we have the offense, who really has shown signs of being efficient but hasnt hit their potential yet... but the defense looks really, really good as well. The pass rush gets in and they seem to be stout against the run. They may have a top 3 unit on both sides of the ball, as well as a top-10 place-kicker.
  6. I like it too. I have no experience watching Korean content, but I really dig it. I like how everything is shot, acted, and looking into a different culture as part of the background. Anyway. The Squid Game is great. 3 Episodes in and I like it.
  7. He isn't getting booed.
  8. Early on. She sounds good.
  9. Yes, I do. Close knit group of us. We can't get together so much due to kids, jobs, and all that.. but we still do stuff. Camping, bills games, etc.
  10. I would think if UB were included in plans for a stadium, it would likely end up profiting the Pegulas to some degree via rent/lease in some form, concessions, etc Now I would think that the plan would have to include (from both ends) some sort of commitment that UB up-jumps their program with some short, mid, and long-term goals. It would probably need to really make an effort to move on from the MAC within 5 years for a start. Right now, they do not sell a ton of tickets. A lot of it has to do with the Maction weeknight games. A lot has to do with the level of opponent/competition. A lot of it has to do with that Stadium. I would argue the stadium there keeps a lot of people away. I went in with my Bills ticket buddies (10 of us) and we were excited to get UB season tickets one year. We went to the first few games, tailgated, had a bit of fun there... but the stadium is so awful, and not in a cool, dingy quaint way. Its a pile of formed concrete about 1/8 of a mile from the field with terrible sightlines. Everything about it is bad. People started to bail after the 3rd game, the 4th was it. I have been to a few games since, but its always disappointing. Not to mention the weather cuts through that thing like a knife, and if you sit in the upper deck on the one side in a late afternoon game, you are staring directly into the sun because the other grandstand is about 2 miles to the West. So I guess the question is... would more people go if the stadium was a proper football venue and if the opponents were on a better level than the MAC? Students especially. Seriously dont know the answer. Buffalo is kind of a strange area supporting things that arent the Bills and Sabres. I dont think they will/can ever be at a level like Ohio St, Penn St, etc... but can they get to a level like Pitt, Iowa State, NC State, etc? Talking like 10 years down the line, plus.
  11. As mentioned, it would have to accompany some kind of plan/commitment from NYS and UB to elevate their program. It doesn't make sense if we are going to settle into MAC crowds of 7-12K in a stadium of 60,000. Road-wise, it seems more possible than downtown. People can be moved by 990 right there, 290 in both directions, as well as some arteries nearby like Sheridan, Millersport, Maple, Niagara Falls Blvd, etc.
  12. Big Grass Lot is the best.
  13. I didnt mean/expect the Bulls to share a new stadium and the Big 10 come knocking right away. IF we lived in the dimension where the Bills and the state/county built the state of the art stadium in Amherst, I would think it would make them very attractive to the AAC or whatever exists in its place/CUSA within 5 years (shifting will continue). It would help with recruiting, and locals would likely attend more games. It is not out of the realm of possibility the program would continue to grow, and maybe 10 years down the line, the landscape and fan support from WNY and the student body can be attractive to the Big 10 or whatever. Not saying it would definitely happen, but it opens a path. With the current stadium and support, the program may be at its ceiling now. As it is now, I cannot bring myself to attend games at that stadium. I have tried. i dont even hate the MAC or anything. I know others who feel the same way.
  14. I agree. I cannot bring myself to go to many games there... I would. I am a supporter of UB and I don't even look down on the MAC. It is just a ghastly venue.
  15. I love basking in this stuff when the bills are on the upswing. After week 1, I avoided everything
  16. I dont even care too much about addiction from a football standpoint... I could totally see grabbing him earlier years. But he is 30 now and hasnt played a full NFL season in like 7-8 years while missing entire seasons. He had 1 strong season in what seems like a lifetime ago
  17. How is this guy still around and getting work?
  18. I was always very strong in my belief that Belichick is > than Brady, and if you got Brady out of New England he would be ordinary, while the Patriots chug along into perpetuity, at least until Belichick ran out of souls to steal. I was completely wrong, or at least would have to go into all sorts of gymnastics on how good the team is in Tampa, yadda yadda which I dont have the energy for. Brady proved last year he is the Greatest ever (I loathe the acronym). I have fought admitting it throughout his career, but it feels better to just deal with it. Belichick will go down as the greatest coach of all time. Even still. You cannot take away the track record as well as the Championships (even counting SB XXV which he played a/the major role in as well as XXI). He has been in some NFL coaching capacity now for almost 50 years which in of itself is rarified air. He has quickly adapted, innovated, and stayed ahead of the curve through many junctures of the past 20 years and also found little wrinkles in the rulebook to use in his favor. Amazing. Honestly, having people dig through the trash for information is pretty intelligent. He was very smart and ahead of the curve when it came to paying players their second and third contracts, being heady on what production/value the replacement would bring. Granted, Brady made him look good a lot of his time, but you have to give Belichick a heck of a lot of credit too. As someone who consumes NFL history... I really love how Belichick seems to have a deep fondness/obsession/respect for the deep history of the sport, even pre-merger eras. When he gets off script and provides insight/theories/history lesson on football it is absolutely captivating. I do wonder if the game/sport/minds/advanced stats and analysis have passed Belichick by a bit, at least with him playing the role of General Manager and assuming the level of control and bullheadedness I imagine he holds there. He has floundered a bit as GM.
  19. Weeks 5 and 6 is going to tell us a lot on where to slot the Bills. Specifically the week 5 match up vs the Chiefs. If they can get to the bye week at 5-1, or even 4-2 (preferably with a victory over the Chiefs)... We are going to feel pretty good about where they stand. Especially with the next 3 games the Dolphins, Jaguars and Jets (then the Colts)
  20. The jets should have drafted darnold
  21. Would be great. Certainly would vault the UB program a couple notches and would make the Big 10 realistic. Downtown is not really feasible. The studies have shown that which is why there is zero momentum or chatter pointing downtown. Anyone who has been to a sold out Sabres game or concert that people didn't leave early can attest. Especially as you park closer to the arena, compounded if you park in a ramp. The streets are too narrow, lots of one-way, some dead ends, and virtually no egress to the south, and limited to the west. You have to crawl your way through a grid of gridlocked streets to reach the 190. Triple the crowd, even double... ugh. I don't know the exact layout over there at ub/Amherst, but it sounds like there could be some options and some space. You have the 990, 290, and even millersport and Sheridan to move people. You're starting from scratch though for land acquisition, parking space, and all that.
  22. TBH, Im cool with a PSL at that price point (im in cheap seats).
