  1. Sports nowadays are all hurting. It is a combination of various factors 1. Money (from massive amounts commercials, to each player basically embodying their own "company" with zero loyalty) 2. Litigation 3. Players are so "perfect" and efficient now. Machine-like. You kind of need the wide talent gaps for better product. 4. Coaching is also way too efficient which bogs down the sports.
  2. I dont see anywhere that Sullivan isnt 100% on point there
  3. Golisano saved the Sabres when there was little hope. He took the franchise from the depths and made it into the type of fanbase that we have today that can have capped season tickets despite the worst period in team history. Poor decisions, and some bullheadedness. I do not believe Quinn would be heavily involved as a Pres.. He would know there would be rejection and he did have a health scare. IMO, as a huge sabres fan, the team would be in good hands.
  4. I have season tickets and once the Bills are eliminated, realistically, there is little to no reason to eat a whole Sunday with crap. I eat the tickets. Weather plays a small part in the decision, but if its a meaningful game, Id go in a blizzard. The Houston comeback game is such a laughable comparison with present day. They had 1 week to sell tickets, no internet, injuries and against a team that smoked them, larger capacity, no regionalization into Rochester or Southern Ontario yet. it wasnt the weather. A dome may be necessary though to justify the funding and effort, unfortunately, as pointed out. I think they are going to have to imagine uses beyond the 10-12 NFL games a year.
  5. yes, I do. Had a "mass produced" one. Tasted awful, was expensive and started to give me a headache. The shop will help you out, make suggestions, and some are like a lounge and a whole social aspect to it. They will have like a menu, you control the amount of nicotine, its cool. Many flavors taste great. Dont have that stinky feeling. You can still get the throat hit... they work.
  6. Go to a shop. The kind that makes their own liquids. The mainstream packaged ones are crap and are run by the cig companies anyways.
  7. We pretty much know Green Bay would not approve a relocation. I heard somewhere that Baltimore's owner is dead set against any relocation as his heart was broken when the Colts moved.
  8. Im down with open-air. Works in Seattle, Pittsburgh, and Cleveland. Would love grass surface. I feel that those places add a lot more character and excitement than the indoor joints. If its roof or retractable, whatever, cant control it.
  9. hmm. interesting so by the end of June we will be ready to move on...
  10. I'd rather use Pittsburgh seattle and cleveland
  11. I know someone who did something similar to this sans the bomb threat
  12. I dunno. I think NO is a dirty, dangerous hellhole.
  13. all things considered, he looks pretty good. Tough mofo
  14. A guess a real question we should consider is: would the NFL consider preserving the Bills (provided a new stadium/equivalent) with the promise of a future Toronto expansion/relo in the next decade? Do they believe both teams could/would survive?
  15. it certainly sounds like he is setting the table for the Bills move to Toronto but is so close, nobody is losing a team defense. "I know this: personally I’m grateful for the great fans and support for NFL football that we have in Northern New York, and certainly as it is right now, they’re in the Toronto market area. "
  16. shouldve beaten the Jets to hold camp in Cortland.
  17. NF is tucked into a corner surrounded by natural borders. They would have to basically redesign/rebuild the city for 8-10 dates a year. NF cant get out of their own way to do anything which is why the American side features 2 competing Indian restaurants. We are talking mega-bucks and time. A football stadium also does not magically create a whirlwind of development in a vacuum like that. To me, Batavia is more of a believable option. If in "Niagara Falls" it would have to be out toward Wheatfield.
  18. Van miller was tops. Best football pbp I ever heard. He was a master at building the intensity and framing each play.
  19. Oh yeah for sure. I go off about the nf idea being stupid. But if construction were announced I would be doing flips
  20. I feel bad for cancer. Jumbo is a tough mofo.
  21. I hope we hear more positive news soon. That 90 days from a few weeks ago keeps ticking...
  22. I was referring to Mr Big Buff and this: I dont see the Williams thing as an example Brandon solely called all the shots. Its just an example there wasnt some imaginary marketing/football line Brandon wouldnt cross. He was also the rep to go meet with Shanahan, and the spokesperson for most everything with the team and he freely speaks of personnel/football matters. I think it takes a great deal of imagination to pretend he didnt have anything to do with the football team until 2013. As far as the shift in power, I dont really see it as that major. Nix was going to walk anyways. It was the Bills' 3-year "cleanse" where they kind of shift around. Brandon went from CEO to President, and Whaley promoted from asst GM to GM and they hired Marrone as HC. Anyways, Ive participated in this same discussion too many times. It doesnt get anywhere. It is very not relevant at this point in time. A new owner if he took over this Summer would be foolish to make any major moves until January (unless the wheels fall off come October/November). I really do like the roster too and believe the Watkins move was a coup. I dont even want to discuss this at this point. They make the playoffs I can and likely will change my opinion. My opinion on RW changed quite a bit seeing that a local sale seems very probable... I agree which is why Im angry I got drawn into this... again
