  1. is this the fact that Bon Jovi wants to own a team committed to Buffalo or the fact that the Trust will not take a Bon Jovi bid at face value as a WNY bid.
  2. I know its not a public bid, but will/would Johnny Bon Bon and his Billionaire pals have any legal recourse if their competitive/higher bid is rejected for reasons of relocation, even though they go on record saying they are staying in Buffalo?
  3. There is a huge difference between believing the sources/info and not trusting Bon Jovi, etc. They both can be correct, no? In order to be eligible to buy the team, they need to do the dance. As has been said, Bon Jovi can walk up to me and tell me to my face he want to be the Bills owner and keep them in Buffalo and I wouldnt believe him. Rogers and MLSE have really got to have zero interest in owning a team and not swinging for the fences with Toronto.
  4. it would get pretty ugly for sure. It is very tough to pre-emptively rip teams who are well and rabidly supported. When Winnipeg, Quebec, Hartford, and Minnesota lost NHL teams, those cities were fairly lukewarm on the NHL and the teams slid out. The NHL could have torn Buffalo out in 2002 and not all that many would raise hell because only like 6K people were attending games.... Cleveland is the main applicable case.
  5. I suspect that the NFL and Bon Joves, etc have a backroom deal. They are going to drive up fear and the sale/bid price, but not successfully get the team. Then down the line when they have their ducks in line for a facility, etc, Toronto, specifically the Bon Jovi group will be first in line for expansion. It is kind of suspect that Bon Jovi stuff seems to get leaked all the time when things are most quiet.
  6. reminds me of these guys http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dnepropetrovsk_maniacs
  7. wow! did he give any insight as to why?
  8. If the bills turn the corner and pegula is the owner, we will see the bills quickly return to the local prominence of the 1990s
  9. So is anyone buying that bon jovi and friends are going to be in any way committed to wny? It's obviously lip service to remain legally eligible to own the team under the non relocation agreement. I am sure the nfl owners and goodell are completely fine with the deception. Kryk made me feel better in the bid seems small time in a way with these guys digging for investors. Biggest threat was Rogers over the top and according to kryk he doesn't seem capable or willing at this time
  10. I would root for Brady over the Toronto bills
  11. The Toronto group is going to play paddy cake and say and do all the right things until the last possible moment. Too many people would buy into the deception
  12. Nope. The true intentions are obvious at this point. Mlse and Rogers have little or no motivation to keep the team in Buffalo past the lease. They will go through the motions but I won't be duped The buffalo bills will die the instant the trust decides to sell to them
  13. They can't build a stadium for the bills... but the can build an nfl standard stadium "for the argos". I have a bad feeling. Rogers. Bjs meeting with goodell
  14. once the Bills are locked in, they can do anything they want
  15. yeah, Toronto guys buy the team, Im checking out. Its already lost if thats the case. Those guys arent committing to WNY in any sort of reality
  16. I need some good news. Someone in the media please coddle me.
  17. it sounds horrible, but I cant stand watching games that woman college football pbp announcer does.
  18. there is no way MLSE is truly committed to Buffalo. They are going to come in saying the right things with a stadium plan, play paddy cake with everyone, "negotiate" on stadium funding, politicians will refuse paying for most/all, they throw their hands up at the end of this lease and move to Toronto.
  19. can you impeach an NFL commissioner? Anyways, Goodell isnt too bad. Selig takes the prize as the worst in major sports. Goodell comes out smelling like trash on a lot of things, but he certainly has the hardest job by far out of Silver, Bettman, Selig, Goodell.
  20. Gotta go with Dogfish Head 90 minute.
  21. Its easy to say... But are NFL players going to be willing to play there? There is a pretty oppressive tax rate for high earners, travel will be much more difficult, far from home, etc...
  22. MLSE/Bonny Bon Bon would need a sugar daddy though, right? No math has them really being that competitive.
  23. it was Candy, McNall, and gretzky. they also bought a honus wagner card I believe The fact is, Toronto is a tough sell on anything that isnt the Maple Leafs. I even went to a Memorial Cup up there and it wasnt sold out.
