As far as looking at them on the "lot"... I agree -

Fitz calls his shot -Update Signed w/Jets

With that said, maybe the cycle is over. They retained Dareus and Hughes. Gotta keep Watson. Probably Glenn. Hate to say it, but may lose Gilmore if Darby does well -

Fitz is great in the sack,.... but when you get to the point where he wants to settle down with a commitment, everyone would rather jump out a window -

I was thinking this before I believed Fitz wasn't necessarily maxing out. Just putting a value on his health/risk. -

While we were putzing around with the Brandon/Whaley/Marrone show, the Chiefs hired Reid to run their football program and he is 31-17 in 3 years, and made the playoffs 2x. That was coming off a 2-14 Kansas City season. still putzing. -

We will see this season. If they do good, great. 7-9 wins, we will probably get one more kick at it. Whaley will get a shot to come out of the Tyrod/QB situation, Rex Ryan one more shot. I think it is very possible the wheels come off this season. If they do, I think it is important for them to cleanse the all the dead weight and failure in the front office and build from the top down. Maybe be at the bottom for a year or 2 while fixing the cap, and acquiring picks. I really wish they could have hired Andy Reid to run the show when the time came. Someone like that. -

This is a very big/pivotal year in how I view Whaley. Gotta start seeing some results. -
Bills considering trading up to #2 pick
May Day 10 replied to Yeezus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
IF they can somehow get an assurance that the Rams are going with Goff.... AND they are sold on Wentz. Sell the farm. Like they say. There are two teams. The ones who have a QB... and then the other teams. Its pretty obvious which is which. -
Try being in the scoreboard end-zone and turning into two-face

"IN THE HUNT" until the Pittsburgh game? Hopefully they can hang on and be on the graphic for the Browns game. That would be exciting

I would love a SNF game. Been a long time. Unlikely though. Home Bills game? I dunno. Id say its 50/50.

The issues are: They are/were capped for season tickets and have a waiting list Unsure if the renewal period is over, but there is that. Then season ticket holders will go through the process of relocation options Then the waiting list will be accessed in order to grab the remaining seats from the relocations. So it is impossible to know which seats will be available. So you can put down the deposit and jump on the waiting list. Either grab whatever seats are available when it is your turn.... or probably opt to wait a year. The following year you may be toward the front of the line. I have Sabres ST and I also have 2 on the waiting list. I come up every year.... now right away... but nothing tickles my fancy yet. Its mostly picked through.

I dont think football is a good fit for an analytics-driven organization. An analytics department might be good. Can add a lot of information, but ultimately, football has a miniscule sample space compared to the other sports. 16 games... 12 for NCAA. In NCAA you have a number of mis-matches in any given season. You also often need to compare players from very different conferences/levels. Unlike other sports, you are drafting guys directly to your pro roster. There is also quite a bit of 'situational' variables like 'garbage time', maybe the player is banged up. Maybe his match-up was banged-up, etc. Then you have the all-important personality issues. Is the player going to get pulled over with drugs and a gun before camp? Is the player smart enough? Will he grasp the NFL? Is he too smart where he is going to figure out he should retire after a year or two? If I were Pegula/Brandon... I would put most of the analytics eggs into cap and roster management. Historical NFL cross sections on age, roster makeup, production, % of the cap, bonuses, etc. That is where its at

Your all time favorite movie
May Day 10 replied to Canadian Bills Fan's topic in Off the Wall Archives
The Jerk maybe Pee Wee's Big Adventure Agreed. The Stand is my favorite book. Its amazing However, the TV series was kind of hokey. They stuck to the source material much better than usual with Stephen King... but network TV really had to tone a lot of it down and they didn't get into most of the Societal aspect that really makes the book so good. -
Best seats in First Niagara Ctr?
May Day 10 replied to BillnutinHouston's topic in Off the Wall Archives
200 level. There is a reason those are the most expensive seats. It is the best vantage point. 100 level, while cool to be that close is very spotty on viewing. If you need to go 100 level... behind the net as close as possible, or if you are on the sides, go higher up. Many spots you will end up watching 1/2 of the game on the jumbotron and/or hurting your neck looking to one side. FYI there is only 1 game left. -
Haha. He got me. I like Sullivan. I think he is very talented as a sportswriter. Every 'big league' sports town needs someone in his role

NFL Execs say Bills should get moving on new stadium
May Day 10 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There is really nothing there that cant be satisfied by a cheaper and nicer state of the art downtown convention center (other than "motocross" and the Big10 Championship). IMO, you have a new convention center, nice arena, AAA ballpark, and a nice brick and mortar amphitheater.... it is perfect and can host nearly everything all year around. These things would be much more cost effective and wiser than a football stadium I just cant see a new football-size stadium attracting anything worthwhile and adding to the downtown-proper. Maybe a hope and a prayer wrestlemania or a long-shot Final 4. Both 1-shot. There arent many stadium music tours to make it worthwhile.... and we just aren't going to draw people for any type of NCAA Football on any regular basis. Those low-level bowl games cant even draw flies in the hot-beds. As far as price goes.... be a competitive team and feel free to double my price. My Sabres season tickets have about doubled in less than 10 years and I dont feel slighted or that I lost ownership of the seats. In fact, I already renewed for next season. If the Sabres were playing in the Aud, Id pay quadruple.
