May Day 10

This is right on for me. Getting rid of coaches doesnt mean a thing if these same people are allowed to "select" another coaching staff.

Fitz is adequate. He is a good stop-gap. Got them to 10 wins last year and they look like they will be right there again... (10 wins is rarified air here in Buffalo... would love a dream season like that). He is doing his job, they have good players, system, coaching, and preparation around him. Meanwhile they are piling up potential QB prospects looking for the guy.

Challenging on a 4 yard gain is puzzling Having a 4 minute drill run out of time, spiking the ball on 2nd and 1 and heading to the tunnel eating a timeout is infuriating. The whole strange 3rd and 4th and short exchange in the 4th quarter. Trying to draw them off, burning a valuable timeout and giving the jets time to collect themselves, then going for it and failing was embarrassing

He was really demonstrative last night... and was open a few times. Woods was open too but is more professional and adult about it.

The jets brought on the 2 consultants the bills should have hired and won 10 games in year one and look pretty good now. Its not rocket science and doesnt need to take 5 years of continuity.

All splitting hairs and arguing aside.... If this team fails this year to the tune of 0-6 wins... would anyone object the bills throwing open a window and letting in fresh air (21st century nfl)? Would pegula searching and finding a completely outside person to fully and without interference head up the football program really set the bills back?

Do we think Tom Brady would have an identical career trajectory if the Bills drafted him instead of the Pats? I dont. I believe a lot of NFL players, even Quarterbacks are a product of their environment. Even if it is "just a quarterback" that is needed.... this franchise has had 16 years + to replace Kelly, most of those years picking in the top half of the draft. Still failed. Has anyone who matters currently at OBD ever identified, obtained, and groomed a decent QB?

I like Rex Ryan a lot. I wanted him to coach here. I like his personality and would love to "have a beer with the guy". I would love it if he and his brother were able to run the table here, win the Superbowl, dedicate it to their dad and go down in football history. However, you see the things that Jets fans/media as well as the entire Football world warned us about when we get excited. Too much chatter/showmanship, lack of discipline, sloppy in-game management. It has all come to fruition. It makes me doubtful this is going to produce any positive results

I don't think he 'gave up' as much as he didn't want that structure again and to surrender control. At that point the circled the wagons and successfully isolated the organization from the outside world.
