Are the Dolphins a concern for you?
May Day 10 replied to gr8billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not at all. Much like the Bills, and to an extent, the Jets. They can make all the moves in the world.... but until they prove it, I cant take them seriously. -
Not Another Schopp & Bulldog Thread
May Day 10 replied to sir andrew's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I agree. I don't understand entirely why people here gush for sal. To me he just sounds like a semi-knowledgeable fan who yells into the microphone. He is also a complete bills lackey and they could do no wrong. I thought buscaglia was 100x better in that role. It felt like he was objective, and also lived for homework (sal has a young kid and can't do nearly as much). I like schopp... unfortunately, his wheelhouse isn't allowed to be discussed on wgr. Sometimes he is rough to listen to doing 15 hours a week on only the bills and sabres. I think nonstop talk on that station about just the 2 teams gets very tiresome -

Bills' 2016 Season Ticket Sales Already Over 52K
May Day 10 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah. Russell Brandon sold those tickets -
I think Duff's is good. Not the best in town, but way better than Anchor Bar and better than most. Mild wings would likely be bad.

Why not utilize the penalty box for the NFL

Maybe for a pass interference greater than 20 yards? -
Pats win SB because Brady's feelings are hurt
May Day 10 replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Back in Manning's day, pre 2014, he would be worth the price of admission/a ticket. Watching him run an offense and fling the ball everywhere was awesome. But yeah, its tough to get over the past 2 years looking at Manning as its fresh. I would never classify Brady as an "I have to buy a ticket to see this guy" QB. Most times it seems their offense is predicated on "guessing correctly". They go for the sideline pass, slant pass, seam to TE, or a RB draw at the perfect times. Players are wide open and run after they have the ball. Now it does take mental skill to run the "system" or whatever you would call that as well as deliver the ball... but I dont know. Im not even sure if Brady has that extensive of a "highlight reel" of awesome/athletic plays. -

I just cant give it to him. Hitting slant passes and somehow "guessing" the defenses doesnt equate to best-ever for me. With all the questions surrounding him and Belichick... cant do it. Cant get over it. Looking at Manning over his career, he was so much more impressive. At least by the eyeball test. I would also say Marino and Elway were better. If you shrouded those guys in a "system" like Brady enjoys... as well as modern passing rules... I think they would have much more impressive careers Also being more "motivated" there means cheating extra hard. -
Music will get him more broads

The League Hiding Money From Players
May Day 10 replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is why I'm happy to see players decide to leave early... and even things like aaron Maybin who put one over. -
thanks. It is siding. It seems like it may just be in the 2 corners that there is a problem. Its as if the builder didnt get everything level and just propped up the 2 corners with shims or something. I dont mind bugs so much (or even the snakes)... but not in the basement... especially if Im going to pour money into making it into a living area and walling the sides off like that.

The Foundation is above grade and the rim joist is above that. I was finding pill bugs/potato bugs around the basement as well as few dead baby snakes... I called an exterminator and he said that it was a bit moist down there which attracted those things at different times of the year. I got a dehumidifier and that helps, but not all the way. So I started to 'finish' my basement myself starting with insulating the rim joist and eventually gluing rigid to the concrete walls... In the corner I did, the batting insulation they put in was blackened. Pulling it back, there was a concentration of pill bugs and lady bugs on the concrete and I could see daylight and feel airflow from the outside in some gaps. So I caulked/great stuffed it... and then insulated it with rigid and non-backing fiberglass. I did that to all the rim joist in the area there I made this into a storage room that is very well insulated from the outside, no more bugs and stuff like that. It was a lot of work doing that area. Also, there are a lot of 'deeper' boxes that will be tough to do. But in one other corner, there is a higher concentration of the bugs/etc that I am going to have to plug up. Does that make sense now?

McCoy's nightclub fight and the ongoing investigation
May Day 10 replied to lowghen's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So the cops placed am order, Mccoy arrived and wanted the order, so he brutally attacked them? I have a hard time believing that scenario. -

I think the general thought is /was valid. The NHL would more often try to put the ASG in non-traditional, upcoming/struggling markets to create buzz where it otherwise wasnt. They don't really have anything to gain putting it in Buffalo as we are relatively maxed-out. The "outdoor games" have become more of the bone to throw to 'traditional' markets. Not only that, the ASG has become a large scale entertainment event in and around the host city. Nashville had various events staged throughout the city, which has many attractions, is "hip", and the weather isn't likely to be 10 degrees (although they had that winter storm a week prior). The next one has been scheduled for Los Angeles. Its not always the rule, but the league prefers the event where it is beneficial. Ottawa recently had one, and Montreal had one for their anniversary in (09?)... but other than that it has remained pretty consistently teams that didnt really exist prior to the 90s (Ottawa wasnt either but they are a different case). Los Angeles will now be hosting it for the 3rd time since Buffalo has. I do think that Pegula has been asking, and it may be a matter of time. They will probably get some outdoor games, maybe as a tradoff. the 50th anniversary may be a possibility too. -
Grand Island thanks for the insight, apusz. Was considering a dricore type product. We have the baggie on the top half of the basement walls right now. I guess ideally, you want that down and glue and seal rigid foam to the concrete... but that is a pretty big additional cost and I'm not sure if its all that necessary.

yup, thanks. Planning on the egress. Also, the HVAC area is a storage area. I already insulated the rim joists there and put in shelving. I plan on having a double-door leading to that area which is in the 'back' of the basement. Its a pretty new house, 12 years old. Basement is fairly dry. Some gaps in the rim joists let moisture in and I have been fixing that. Never any standing water.... but I do plan on getting a lot of dirt and sloping away from the house a bit... also plan on some sort of backup for the sump.

I do agree on the 'gameplan' aspect. Its really not that much effort. I can see the unit/thermometer from my back door which makes it easier. When I am smoking, I kind of obsess about it anyways, so monitoring/adjusting/etc is fun.

Does anyone have any insight on this? I plan on doing it in a year and will hire someone. I generally know what I want, but would need guidance to hash it out into a final floorplan with all the details. Anyone have any good experiences with anyone in the WNY area? I would really like to do it myself.... but with 2 young kids, there is just no time

its not just the rooms though. Convention space and pretty much no attractions for all the wealth. Are we going to take all the celebrities around in a shuttle and show them the "architecture"? February is normally a special kind of miserable here weather-wise. We cant even get an NHL All Star Game. -
Pee Wee's Big Adventure is one of the best/funniest movies ever made. Been looking forward to this.

I started out this fall and got this: Weber Smokey Mountain http://www.amazon.com/Weber-731001-Mountain-22-Inch-Charcoal/dp/B001I8ZTJA/ref=sr_1_cc_1?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1455653776&sr=1-1-catcorr&keywords=smoky+mountain It is great and pretty easy, even without gas. I have made a few creations including some ribs for a tailgate and also a 20 pound turkey on New Years Eve. You just have to do some research. A lot of people have what works for them and a lot of information might conflict. Its up to you to find your groove. A key is to start simple with poultry and things that are easier. I seasoned my WSM too as per the comments section there on amazon. The first thing I made was butterflied chicken breasts and I mixed together chopped jalapenos and cream cheese and filled the breasts. Wrapped with bacon and smoked. Very good, first try and easy. Impressed guests. Anyways, smoking is awesome. It opens up a world of what is probably the best tasting food. Really looking forward to the Spring. Gonna do my first brisket.

think silly be silly. If we are going to spend for a billion dollar facility, chasing an event that the governing body will have no interest in putting in Buffalo... which will cost another huge sum for the public to 'sway' the decision... then that is foolish. -

can we also put to rest the delusion that the Super Bowl will ever be played in Buffalo?
