  1. Sorry, it's not the same team we saw earlier. We have, what? 12 guys on IR? Maybe F. Jackson doesn't play next week, either. We were thin to start the season and now we are down to practice squad guys. I hope they make it a game next week, but there is no reason to think the outcome will differ from the last 3 weeks. The score may be higher with McGee out again. It's really disappointing to have such a high number of injuries again. The rest of the league is dealing with this too, but we just have no depth. It's going to take at least 2 more good drafts, maybe 3, to fix a decade of crappy drafting. I'm not ready to throw Gailey under the bus yet - Lombardi couldn't win with this team - but he has to show some imagination to get the offense going again, because the defense is not going stop giving up huge numbers.
  2. Agreed. Bad run of injuries and no depth in the defense can sink your season pretty quickly. I understand that Fitz has a patchwork line, but no. 1 QB has to make something happen and LEAD. I don't really see them winning another game, either. 2008 redux.
  3. I'm also a Bills/Cubs fan. It can be very tough sometimes...
  4. Giants held the ball forever. Can't run Thurman when you don't have the ball and you're playing from behind late. It was amazing that we got to the outer limits of Norwood's range at the end.
  5. Don't forget that it was the Bills who knocked Simms out of playing in the Super Bowl against them. If they hadn't done that, they might have won that game! They were not ready for Hostetler.
  6. Most likely due to virtually no pre-season workouts.
  7. I can't believe the Fins game is not blacked out in S Fla. Back to the pub on Sunday...
  8. Some of us are old enough to remember that teams that were really good dominated the regular season, won their 2 playoff games and took the Super Bowl or World Series or whatever. These days, parity and interminable playoff systems with way too many teams allow whatever team is hot at the end of the season to take the championships. The Cardinals sure did take care of business, but should never have been in the playoffs. Maybe it's more interesting to know that any team can have a magical season, but I sure do hate it when the best teams get knocked out of a playoff "tournament." It's why I don't care at all about college basketball.
  9. RIP Kent. Way too young to go. You were the greatest!
  10. Nice writeup, but take it easy on the exclamation points.
  11. Only the Giants can bump the Steelers in West Palm Beach! Watching at home this week!
  12. Yup, 3rd QB is required to be active this year. Having Smith cover multiple spots is a good thing. I do wish he would throw it once so that the opposing defense doesn't stack the box so much.
  13. but in West Palm Beach it's Giants all the time or Steelers (the Rooneys are here) when it's not fish time. The Bills only appear when playing the Dolphins.
  14. Yup I remember listening to ESPN Sunday Night football in 1991 and the Bills laid a huge egg against the lousy Colts on the road. The good teams will shrug it off and move on. I have a feeling the Fitz is that type of player. Hope his hand feels better by Sunday. He'll need that extra quickness with the pressure that will surely come from the left side. Someone do something about this defense, though. It really stinks.
  15. Reasons for losing? Fitz must have had a bad day? The line bumps by the Bengals secondary was throwing timing off and no one adjusted Replacements a RG and LT Having to rely on McKelvin (why is he still here?) and Corner What I don't understand is how KW and Dareus got pushed around so much. 20+ points given up in the 3 straight games. Time to change something.
  16. It's not the NFL. It big-time gambling that got these refs, IMO.
  17. Enjoy some good football. They are overachieving a bit right now, but 16 games sorts things out pretty well. I'm optimistic for a 9 or 10-win season with some good bounces.
  18. Belichek would have gone for a 2-pt conversion and the win.
  19. Who would Ralph root for? Really?
  20. Why does anyone care what these guys think or say? They don't play football. Watch the games and enjoy the season. That's all that matters. Turn off your radio and play with your kids.
  21. Paper tiger? That wasn't the Chiefs they beat today. Brady and Welker are future HOFers and showed it today. The defense got just enough pressure to cause or take advantage of some rare mistakes. It still took another miraculous comeback to beat those guys. Can't count on that every week!
  22. It's gonna be a good week boys!
  23. Mr Wilson, pay that man!
  24. Heck of a game. Reminds of the old Bills-Fins games.
  25. 1st draft pick next year should be a pass covering LB. Over 6'5" would be preferable
