  1. It took an other worldly performance by Jefferson. Maybe the best by a WR I’ve ever seen. You weren’t gonna stop him and the covereage wan’t bad at all. All Lewis had to do is knock it down instead of going for the pick but when you’re down to your 5th Saftey, mistakes will happen. That’s why you need a HC to make good decisions.
  2. The key question is how many more chances? This team is easily the most talented roster in the NFL but key players are getting older. Josh is gonna age faster than pocket Qbs. Love him but he has no brakes and routinely puts himself in harm’s way. So if not this year you gotta realize that McD ain’t it, he’s Levy 2.0.
  3. A great RB didn’t lead us to a 17 point 3rd quarter lead today. Were we the best team in the NFL last year with 13 seconds left and the same stable of RB’s? Would a better RB be nice? Sure, but this team isn’t built on the running game or even offensive balance. I think a better HC would matter more personally
  4. I’d take Edmunds over Oliver. Edmunds has improved a ton this year and is integral to the pass defense. Oliver flashes a couple times a game but when he was out, it made no difference. I don’t think Oliver is a JAG, but his size will always be an issue. He doesn’t play with the crazy agility that makes smaller 3 Techs great - he’s more power. And he’s not long enough to dominate with power. Good player but some team will vastly overpay him.
  5. I don’t think he has any power. I think Beane does and the only fault I can see Beane having is that he’s a little too loyal sometimes. Not a bad thing in life but according to Bill Walsh and the coach with the most SBs in NFL history, it will could cost you championships. So unfortunately I think you’re right he won’t be fired unless there’s something behind the scenes that we are unaware of.
  6. How is seeing a pattern of these kinds of losses oversimplifying “winning in the NFL”. Is there a more tired platitude than, “it tough to win in the NFL”? How is 3 years of underachievement in 3 straight playoffs and the way we’re losing games this year short sighted”? If anything 3 years is quite the sample set. What happened at the end of the Houston game 3 years ago? Did we even show up for the AFCG vs the Chiefs? 13 seconds? Now let’s do this year. The pattern is clear as day. He’s Andy Reid with the Eagles. Very good coach with an unbelievable knack for one side of the ball. But ultimately a coach who will underachieve in big spots with the better team.
  7. McD is gonna squander all this talent. 3 years in a row he’s had us flame out in the playoffs. This season is a perfect microcosm of his coaching. Losing to inferior teams. Losing with games in complete control. Poor in game decisions. And the most important one, he still doesn’t understand that his best player doesn’t how to regulate his play. He’s like a ferrari with no breaks. You need to control him through play calling (not neuter him), go for FGs and don’t make the whole team dependent on his play. McD will never be a championship coach. Great DB coach? Yes. Good coach? Yes. If the Bills don’t win the SB this year, go get Peyton.
  8. All of my buddies who moved into Buffalo to raise families are freaking out now. Crime will undoubtedly go up even more and development will be stymied. This is such a bummer. It's unbelievable that anyone thinks Socialism is a good idea. It's never been successful anywhere. But I know, this time it will be different because a Nurse who is an intersectional dream will be the first. Good luck Buffalo.
  9. I wouldn’t have traded up but those 3 RBs weren’t the only RBs in the draft. Gainwell went in the 5th and is a really good receiver with speed. Same goes for Carter who went in the 4th. We don’t have speed in the backfield unless you’re thinking of Breida, who’s never been able to win a job against avg competition.
  10. That’s the most underwhelming list of running backs on any contender’s roster. Brieda is fools gold who got beat out by an FA rookie. Moss and Singletary lack explosion and are undersized power backs. Williams and Wade are OBD legends who never will materialize. While I don’t think it’s a pressing need, some balance on offense would certainly be great and would add an almost unstoppable dynamic to this offense. McB’s Done a lot of great things here, but their RB evals have been really bad.
  11. Yeah thanks, go back and read my original post. Like when I said FSU DEnds play at 9-11 about 100 posts ago. Why don't you post again so you can get up to 18 post per day.
  12. Why don't you read what I quoted and the context of the quote. Another word for an open sided end is one dimensional. Another quote taken out of context by you Maggy. I would have thought you would have been a little better at reading seeing that you post 17 times a day.
  13. HEY RAMIUS AND MAGOX, HOW DO YOU LIKE THEM APPLES? Just to refresh your memories. "wrote this before about FSU DE's, they have zero responibilities, they line up at 9-11 technique over the most open man and and get upfield. "
  14. Dude, you accused me of not having credibility. I put both of your accusations to bed and I called the ACC sh*tty football. If I have an anger issue, you have a sensitivity issue.
  15. The long hair thing/ stiff hips comment was a cheap shot at Poz and the fans infatuation with him. So the fact that you took that seriously makes you look very dumb. And Yes, you will see a correlation between the FSU DEnds because Mickey Andrews has been the DC since the mid 80's. And if you don't think systems are part of the reason why college players have trouble with transitioning then again, you have no clue about football. Did you read what you wrote, "Just because they lost 4 starters." Stop right there. CLemson was probably THE biggest dissapointment in college this year and their OLINE was the main reason for it. I'm gald that you watch the Tar Heels play every Saturday. The ACC sucks so you're just used to watching sh*tty football. No bias though...
  16. If you paid attention to college football this year you would have known that Clemson's offensive line was notriously bad. Going into the season their Oline was looked at as their achillies heal and went on to prove it throughout the year. And Clemson was not very good this year but It sounds like you don't pay attention to college football. "I think you have to look at the offensive line. Only one full-time starter - junior center Thomas Austin - returns from 2007. Beyond him, the line has nine starts of experience, seven from junior right guard Barry Humphries. Junior left guard Jamarcus Grant will be making his first career start and has only 86 snaps in his first two seasons. Can they protect Cullen Harper and open up holes for James Davis and C.J. Spiller? We'll see. (Quote from article below in August) http://blog.al.com/bamabeat/2008/08/the_ot...de_clemson.html More Clemson Oline troubles from mid season http://collegefootball.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=863509 My point was Brown got his sacks against some very bad teams with BAD OFFENSIVE LINES.
  17. This is a ridiculous reply. There is nothing in my post that is not dead on. -Did he get 5 of his sacks against Chatenooga and Clemson, who's OLine was being blasted going all the way back to there ptiful spring game? YES -Did he get a sack against any other ranked team besides Va Tech? NO -Do FSU D Ends line up outside of the open man and play with zero responsibilty? YES Just because you are a FSU Superfan doesn't mean that you have a clue what is going on during the games. Please tell me where I am wrong and please be specific.
  18. The FSU lineage scares me. He also puffed up his stats against bad Olines. He had 2 sacks against Cattanooga. 3 against Clemson who had a notoriusly bad Oline. Only 3 of his sacks, all in one game (Va Tech), came against ranked teams. I wrote this before about FSU DE's, they have zero responibilities, they line up at 9-11 technique over the most open man and and get upfield. This is why teams run counters all day against the Noles. Very similar to what the Pats did to us two years ago. No thanks, I'd rather have Maybin. He plays with a mean streak and has and unreal first step.
  19. In this type of defense, yes sacks are pretty much the end all be all. If the sacks are there, then the pressure are there and thats where turnovers happen. Kelsay is one of the worst pass rushers that I have ever seen. He has no speed and absolutely no counter moves. He gives the Bills zero on pass plays.
  20. Why don't you go back and read the post dummy. No where in my post did I say that we shouldnt draft a white guy you overreacting douche. I said we need a pure pass rusher and Brian Cushing is a long-haired white guy with stiff hips and a 3-4 sack per year potential who is not worthy of the 11th pick. Is that racist?
  21. Great, another long-haired white guy with stiff hips. We need a guy who is a pure pass rusher. Cushing's versatility is nice but he is not a pass rusher and is not worth the 11th pick.
  22. When Trent proves he can put together a consistent 16 game season, he can have all of the money he wants!
  23. This is a really sad story. Although I do agree with H2O, TM has to get over it and move on. That being said, I know what can happen to a young kid that is being pushed so hard. I've seen with teammates and and as a coach. My brother has completely ruined my neice who is an absolute all star pitcher. Her identity is softball and thats about it. She has trouble relating to kids at school and she is pretty much an emotional void. It's sad but it is a good lesson for all of the parents out there to remember, it's your kid on the field, not you.
