  1. All my prayers are with you as well. Never met you either but I've always liked your posts (not that I wouldn't offer prayers if I DIDN'T like your posts ) and you've always seemed like a stand-up, knowledgeable guy to me. We all know you're gonna beat this thing. I had two buddies with the same thing ten years ago and, ten years and three beautiful kids apiece later, they're both doing fine. Hang in there.
  2. BRH

    CAMP

And me. I live two blocks away and managed to make it to exactly zero practices last year. Hopefully the night practices will change that.
  3. I think that anyone who actually answered this question truthfully would have had to pick "on computer." I mean, you're all here on your spare time. Right?
  4. Steve Christie. Even now. We need someone who can kick some fuggin field goals.
  5. Dude, I already miss your old avatar. Not that I don't like the new one, but...
  6. Hey, whatever works for you. I couldn't do that. The water's too cold.
  7. But now he's going to find out that her friends just wanted him because he wasn't available.
  8. I had to scratch my head at this one: Whatever you all want to say about Bledsoe, he's one of the most durable quarterbacks in the league. The only significant time he's missed in 12 years was due to a late hit / freak injury and if I'm not mistaken, he didn't miss a start in three years in Buffalo.
  9. I can't disagree with O.J. and Lawrence Phillips on this team, but they've GOT to make room for Cecil the Diesel, don't they?
  10. Pity, that. Because you could cut away for twenty minutes of commercials and not miss a damn thing.
  11. Can't believe nobody solved that problem by beaning the donkey.
  12. I don't disagree that he's not a #1 center, but grouping Chris Drury with Christian Ruuttu and Derek Plante is ridiculous. Drury has weaknesses -- and he would be the first to admit it -- but he's one of the best big-game players in the league. What was it, 11 game winning playoff goals in four years? (Of course, the trouble is that in his last two years, the Sabres and Flames didn't play in very many big games.) He's also universally liked and respected by his teammates, which is why he got the A in Colorado and pretty much took over the C when he got to Buffalo. I'm a lot happier with Chris Drury centering my second line -- or, in a pinch, my first line -- than I would be with Ruuttu or Plante in those roles.
  13. Look who else has waay too much time on his hands
  14. Another great sub place: Cerame's, in Winton Plaza. Is that place still open?
  15. What, that he played for the Rangers?
  16. Anyone who lives in Jersey or anywhere near it: Hoagie Haven, Nassau Street, Princeton. Heaven on earth. No place compares. As for Rochester, it's DiBella's or nothing.
  17. You're going to retire at 20? I knew the military was hard up for people but I didn't know they were taking 10-year-olds.
  18. If we won the lottery it would be the best day in Sabres history since we won the spin for Gil Perreault.
  19. The Peleliu! My buddy was on that boat. I'm thinking it was around '93 to '95. You?
  20. Yes, there are three: New York, Anaheim and Boston. Also, technically, Memphis, which had the Oilers for a year. St. Louis lost the Cardinals and gained the Rams. Baltimore lost the Colts and gained the Ravens. Houston lost the Oilers and gained the Texans. Oakland lost the Raiders and regained them. Cleveland lost the Browns and regained them.
  21. Happy birthday to a fellow PHS alum!
  22. Yeah, but they were retards when they called Sheed an idiot for saying that the refs were trying to make the series go seven, I guess.
  23. Darin and I don't always agree but we're in complete accord here with respect to both of his paragraphs. Shaq gets away with a lot but the players who defend him get away with as much if not more, and I can't remember the last time I saw Shaq complain about people hanging all over him -- this while many NBA players writhe in a manner worthy of European soccer players at the slightest of touches. He wasn't even 50% during the last series and has regularly had to have blood drained from his leg over the last month. As for this line from you, Mugginns: What was that you were saying about excuses?
  24. Right you are. But I still don't see what's wrong with saying that if Shaq and Wade were 100% the outcome of the series would have been different. That's as close to fact as you can get without it actually BEING fact.
  25. Show me where the Pats lost by far their two best players, who also happened to be two of the five or six best players in the NFL, during any of their SB runs and I'll accept the analogy.
