Allen vs Mahomes - last 21 starts comparison
Alphadawg7 replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
He also did by down playing Michael Jordans greatness. He is just using outrageous takes to get his name known. He’s actually a terrible analysis even when he’s trying, so this is about the only way he climb the ranks. He knows you’re worth just as much as the heel and fool in sports journalism now thanks to schmucks like Skip Bayless making it popular. They know people will click and tune in over outrage or when their stupid comments get proven wrong to watch them eat crow. Its the viewers fault for these people. They have no likability or analysis skills of any kind…if the audience didn’t fall for it hook, line, and sinker then they would have no audience. Its a lesson learned from the WWE, literally. And now it’s being copied over and over again. -
Its mind blowing that McD isnt getting any COY love yet. They have like 3 or 4 coaches talked about as COY, and have yet to see McD mentioned. Makes no sense. Bills #1 offense. Bills #1 Defense. Tied for best record in AFC, 2nd in NFL. Largest point differential in the NFL. Biggest takeaway margin in NFL. I mean come on, whats a guy got to do? He should have won it last year.

Allen vs Mahomes - last 21 starts comparison
Alphadawg7 replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
Thats not really a valid add in here though since this is not a resume or career comparison. Its no secret Josh came in more raw, had to play immediately, and his first 2 seasons he was developing and ascending. Since he "arrived' to upper echelon status starting last season, he has been on Mahomes level is the point. This post is about who they are TODAY. Not the full arc of their careers. And during this span of comparison, Josh and Mahomes have the same number of SB trophies...zero...albeit, Mahomes leads the head to head 2-1 right now. -

Yet Josh is now the betting favorite to win MVP in Vegas, so to say it’s not close seems a bit premature. -

A friend sent me a screenshot showing this but the pic size was too big to post. So just gonna type the info below. Shows how close these two really are in what they are doing out there. Now Allen needs to win the Super Bowl to cement his place at the top with Mahomes. Mahomes: 17-4 record Allen: 17-4 record Mahomes: 106.9 rating Allen: 106.0 rating Mahomes: 67 comp % Allen: 67.6 comp % Mahomes: 58-13 Total TD-INT Allen: 59-12 Total TD-INT GO BILLS!!!!

A few Thoughts about the Chiefs Game, in no particular order
Alphadawg7 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
Overall good write up...but... Too much is being made about this above by some. No player had more than 3 receptions on the day. Its just the way the game went, dont think there was anything concerning at all by anyones play at WR. It was a result of spreading the ball around, big plays, short fields from turnovers, and Chiefs having a higher TOP. We just didnt run nearly as many plays either. -
Where would Rousseau have gone had he played? [in college in 2020]
Alphadawg7 replied to whorlnut's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well that clearly depends on how he played. But he was talked about as top 5 before he opted out for the season. -
Not sure where you are getting this from. The fact you said Dane is better than him suggests to me that you haven't watched or paid attention to Levi's play this season very much. He's been very good and all year. And furthermore, if Dane was better then I am pretty sure he would have won the job in camp or taken over during the season so far. But given he has not, I don't think you can accurately say he is better. And no disrespect, people need to let the one play in week 1 go. First of all, he had excellent coverage on the play and Ben threw a terrible pass that was way short, otherwise there would not have even been any contact. Like the whole season, Levi had excellent coverage on the play, just unfortunate Ben woefully under threw the ball causing Chase to try and jump back and into Levi to get it, and it was Chase the instigated the contact not Levi. Not sure why everyone always wants to take one play and then somehow paint that players entire season/career as if its been a reoccurring issue.

Half the people here are wrong on a lot of things too. Levi is having a very good season so far though, and its not even up to debate. I hope they find a way to keep, and I think they will.

Keep in mind, no one on the team had more than 3 catches Sunday Beasley will be fine
-
Disagree to an extent here. If you’ve been a key contributor for past couple of seasons and suddenly you’re not getting many snaps, I want that player to be frustrated and want to contribute to the team more. Now if he makes a big deal out of it, throws a fit on the sideline or something like that, then I get it and that’s unacceptable. But I don’t want the best 3rd down slot WR in the past 2 years to be happy to not be on the field either. And right now, he hasn't become an issue that we know of, so I am fine if he, or any player, gets a little frustrated when not getting the opportunities he got previously because their competitor drive wants to help the team.

Bills sign Taron Johnson to 3 year extension
Alphadawg7 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
All good browski. Enjoy Saturday night, I’m doing the same and let’s go Bills on Sunday. F the Chiefs. For the record, this game is big game and test for Edmunds and the rest of the D. We have dominated weak competition, but now we all need to see them step up and hold their own against the Chiefs. And for the record, while I will defend whether Edmunds is hit or miss today in relation to his draft, I am not committed to him for a new big contract until I see him make an impact in big moments too. That’s true for everyone on the team. In the previous 2 Chiefs games our team as a whole wasn’t up to the task. It’s time for them to mature in being the fire against a team standing in their way. And I’m not even demanding they must win, it’s a long season. But if they don’t win, they better look the part and take it down to the wire and show we at least have the ability to beat them. Last 2 games they played like they were no where close to beating them in all facets of the game and were dominated in the trenches. -

2 Pro Bowls in 3 seasons. Team leader in Tackles since being here. Captain of the number 1 defense in the NFL. Teams game plan against him. Reigning AFC Defensive Player of the Week. 4 years in the league, starter all 4 years. 5th year option picked up. He isn't the best MLB in football, but you would be hard pressed to find anyone who analyzes players for a living that would not list Edmunds in the top 10 of MLB's in the NFL right now. And considering MORE than 50% of all draft picks selected where he was chosen BUST in the NFL, I would say that is a hit by any measure. So I stand by my original critique of your scale of what a "hit" or a "miss" is as severely flawed. -
Russell Wilson out 6-8 weeks, GeNO time
Alphadawg7 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Geno looked much better than I would have ever guessed when he came into the game. That being said, it’s a lot easier as a backup to have a spark in a game then it is to start a game where you gotta play well for 60 min against a team whose game planned for you. So will be interesting to see how he does, my expectations are low. But I’ll give him credit for providing a spark and looking pretty good last game coming in for Russel. They moved the ball better with Geno then they did with Wilson. But I don’t expect that trend to continue. So IMO, I think it’s safe to say the playoff ship has sailed for the Seahawks this year given the strength of their division and no Russ for 6-8 weeks. -

No offense, but that’s an absurd statement. So now the only way you “hit” is of the guy you drafted is the best player available at that draft slot regardless of position? Our 2 time pro bowl LB in 3 seasons now is not a “hit” unless every player drafted after him is worse? Sorry your logic is grossly flawed. And every GM in history has a lot more misses than hits on their resume. Never in any sport has a GM even batted .500 on their draft picks. Like a Baseball player, their hit percentage will always be sub .500 and that’s true for all sports. What separates bad GMs from good ones are GMs who can identify the right type of players for their systems and then hit in a few big ones while also finding value contributors as role players in draft and free agency. In football, nothing is more important than hitting on a QB, and that one domino can often be the single definition of a good to great GM because it’s the single most important position in all off team sports. But great GMs are the ones who can then build a team around that QB, and Beane has quickly become a top 3 GM in the NFL because of it, and if we add a SB victory to his resume he will widely be seen as the best GM in football.- 214 replies

Beane is my favorite non player Bill of all time. He just continues to impress in both how he puts a team together, and retaining his own. Great move- 214 replies

Offense: Both of our RBs Hard to say which one, and probably both of them, but best way to beat the Chiefs is keep Mahomes off the field. We are so far one of the best rushing teams in the NFL and the Chiefs D is vulnerable to the run too. I think we will see a lot of Motor and Moss Sunday night to keep controlling the game clock. Especially if we have a lead or close game. I don’t mean conservatively, I mean like we have all season so far. Defense: Levi Wallace I think our front 7 will be disruptive with coverage down field stronger. This impact won’t show up on the stat sheet, but it’s when coverage is good that sacks and QB pressures begin to happen, and Levi has been playing excellent coverage all season and against good receivers. He won’t get the accolades from the fans or media, but if we are going to get to a mobile guy like Mahomes upfront, it starts with the secondary taking away his options. This is a big reason why the Bucs D isn’t as stout as expected so far, all of their starting corners are out and they aren’t getting to the QB as much as expected as a result. The guys upfront get all the credit for sacks and pressures, but many of them don’t happen if the pass defense didn’t take away their options allowing the big guys time to get to the QB.

Lol...says they guy who not only doesn't know how the cap works or apparently how the NFL works, but also makes up make believe conspiracy theories in a desperate attempt at selling his agenda. 😂
