^^^^^^ This .. this whole gamble hinges on whether the Bills get a true franchise QB. Until they do we circle round and round 8-8 seasons.....

Sammy in his time here has always been about what could be not what is. Only time will tell if the Bills made a smart move or not. As for me, I believe the Bills did the right thing - even if Sammy becomes a league leader.

Sadly, the only way this does not happen is if Marsha gets hurt.

The Bills seem to be setting themselves up to go after a QB in the draft almost without regard to their record. While it seems unlikely that the Bills will break out of their perennial mediocrity this year and go anything above 8-8, they will be able to package picks together to move down in the draft if they somehow do so. If reality strikes and they finish sub 8-8 they may not need to do too much packaging to get a QB. The front office is making the right moves. They are even doing so without necessarily tanking the season totally.

It seems that people are hung up on what they believe Watkins could be vs. what he has actually been. Perhaps with a different QB and team Watkins could be the star that his draft slot suggested he has the talent for but this has not been the reality in Blo. Add to this some injury issues and the picture is even cloudier. The Bills were smart to get something for him. I believe the Bills are finally making smart moves. Whaley l,et good players play out their contracts and then got nothing for them. This trade may not help this season but a solid draft pick gives the Bills options.

Legal blackmail but that is the cost of team presence, The Pegula's have given Buffalo a gift because by rights there is no way a money hungry owner keeps the team in Buffalo. The deal the raider got is insane.

The Bills are dangerously close if not already at the Lions state of hopelessness and irrelevance. The Pegula's get more time as owners as they just put in their GM and coach. However, if an answer is not found at QB soon the Bills will be nothing more than a practice game for the cheats* twice a season.
