  1. True, but it will get very ugly if they start losing, Watson does not play up to the numbers in his contract and they look at the bankrupting of their future due to lost draft picks.
  2. The Board is creative enough to come up with more.
  3. I think Star stays because he is liked by the staff and there is not a ton of cap value to be had with his release. I think if the Bills had no intention f keeping him, like Beasley they would be letting him explore trade value. Update: As I was typing this the Bills released him - guess I was wrong.
  4. Unless Rex returns and he drops into pass coverage ….
  5. “We get Ty Montgomery!!!!! Are you kidding me? Bellicheat you are out of here!!!!!!” (double because my spellchecker actually inserted “Bellicheat” instead of his given name )
  6. The wrinkle is that the Bills also need a o-guard. I highly doubt they take a g in rd 1 but anywhere thereafter is a possibility. At this point in time I would say g is higher than WR in priority.
  7. How do they get these contracts under the cap? They still need a QB#2 and a CB#2. Maybe they get the CB through the draft but not the QB.
  8. I just hope all of these moves the Bills are making don’t put them in the salary cap jail.
  9. Link to sportrac Current Bills salary cap situation - 3/22/2022 12:55 PM $4.1MM - available for “Top 51” - Estimate is that Bills are under by $1.6MM for all - Still missing #’s for Barkley, Crowder, Lawson, Lee, Phillips - Link to Sportrac in 1st post Looks like the Bills will sneak into camp under or at the “top 51” and then let camp competition and possible other restructurings take place to get down to the final #. For example, if Bates is resigned, they likely keep either Ford or Manchester but not both (will also probably draft a G and may carry him on p-squad). Beane is playing for real with what he is doing. Current Bills salary cap situation 3/20/2022 7:20 PM $4.6MM - Keenum contract rework - still missing #’s for Lawson, Lee, Phillips Current Bills salary cap situation - 3/20/2022 5:45 AM $2.1MM - Keenum bonus out - Still missing #’s for Lawson, Lee, Phillips - Link to Sportrac in 1st post My guess is that the Bills have to make about $8MM - $10MM in more room to sign final three FA’s currently on the roster, sign a “value” CB, sign draft choices and to make room for the inevitable in-season signing need(s) Bills cap as of 3/19/2022 5:30 PM - $2.5MM - Keenum In - Jones, Lawson, Lee, Phillips not in yet The Bills have some work to do as the other variable is leaving enough cap for draft choices and in-season signings Bills cap as of 3/19/2022 12:15 PM - $8.9MM - Miller in - Jones, Lawson, Lee, Phillips not in yet Bills cap as of 3/19/2022 - 7:00 AM $13.4MM Now includes Saffold’s #’s - still missing Jones, Lawson and Miller Bills Cap as of 3/18/2022 - 2:00 PM $16.9MM following release of Star and inclusion of Howard & Settle Still missing: Jones, Lawson, Miller and Saffold Bills Cap As of 3/17/2022 - 3:16 PM $17.5MM following release of Beasley Bills Cap As of 3/17/2022 - 10:45 AM (Allegedly $11.4MM available) Thought it might be helpful to have one thread where the Bills current cap status is tracked. According to Sportrac, the Bills have about $11.4 MM in space right now. However, their number does not include new contracts for Howard, Jones, Miller and Saffold. The Bills obviously have more work to do to be under the cap and leave themselves room for draft signings and in-season signings.
  10. But …. He already did …..
  11. You’ll become blind from that…..
  12. That is shocking - I liked the signing.
  13. Did the Cheats* make splash free agency moves year after year during the Brady Era? A couple or times but generally, no. The idea that big time signings = success has proven to fail more often than it works. Your analysis and statements show a complete lack of understanding of both cap dynamics and free agency.
  14. I very much agree with this analysis. The Bills are looking smart so far in what they are doing. Scaffold appears to be a huge upgrade.
  15. Great signing.
  16. Bates is also likely needed as the backup center The only other realistic possibility at this point is that the Bills draft a player for the position
  17. The Bills are creating space to take care of draft choices and in season needs for roster slots. The current Sportrac numbers suggest the Bills have about $6MM in cap space which is about what they want to carry into the season typically. What I am actually seeing right now suggests that one of the two following may occur: Beasley may not be gone this year if nobody takes him via trade The Bills release Beasley and sign another player - my guess would be a CB.
  18. Skyscrapers becoming obsolete? Buffalo at one time led the nation in “tall buildings.” This was clearly in the early days of “going to the office” for work. With more individuals working fully remotely or in some sort of hybrid arrangements the need for tall anthills is declining. How Mai get this change cities in the future?
  19. Only to stomp on your head.
