  1. Are these picks also going to correct Hackett's play calling?
  2. Hopefully they offer him a contract after rookie minicamp. If for no other reason than it would be fun to see him in preseason.
  3. I don't know any more than either of you, but Spikes has a better resume than Alan Branch and I think he signed a 1 year deal here basically as a tryout for other teams. Bills salary cap situation probably allowed them to offer the most money and starting potential. Right now he's on a 1 year contract, so it's better to have a plan in place if he's not here next year or doesn't perform.
  4. Spikes is only here for a year, so that backup MLB will basically be playing to inherit the job next year. Better than replacing Spikes with a rookie next year.
  5. "Outlaw bloodlines" is the most amazing thing I've ever read in a scouting report.
  6. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uniform_number_(American_football) Basically most recent rule change to let WRs wear teen numbers was started by Keyshawn Johnson.
  7. 11 will probably be open sooner rather than later.
  8. Good for Michael Sam. Hopefully a few people in this thread don't reproduce.
  9. Well, NFL.com has Neutz as Bill too, but it was reported last night that he's a Bengal. And this happened: Alex Neutz ‏@neutzy 13h Who Dey!! So I don't know!
  10. Neutz has to be wrong. He's a Bengal according to his own Twitter and news reports.
  11. So, hypothetically, you have to give up assets just to be able to use your 2nd rd pick the way you want? And this idea is supposed to help teams get better?
  12. Better than a career 54.7 completion percentage and 76.3 QB rating? http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/F/FlutDo00.htm
  13. So in this scenario they trade Manziel for a stellar NFL quarterback?
  14. Toronto doesn't need any fans from Buffalo, Rochester, or Syracuse. If the team moved to Toronto they'd have no trouble selling out. I also doubt the league cares about about letting fans tailgate. They'd actually probably love to end it. More beer to be sold at concessions.
  15. This has been my fear for a while. I'm sure a good lawyer could argue it's no different than building a stadium anywhere else in WNY.
  16. Trump buys the team and they are the Las Vegas Dollar Bills by 2021.
  17. I didn't say the city needed the team to survive or anything. However you want to judge the psychological or economical impact on the region by having the team it's still far greater than the benefits it provides the NFL.
  18. Yup. The NFL would look at it as a huge upgrade and if nobody from WNY ever attended the games or bought a single piece of merchandise the team would still do extremely well in Toronto and Buffalo would be an afterthought. Buffalo needs the NFL more than the NFL needs Buffalo.
  19. Your comparison for Manuel is a QB who took his team to the playoffs in his rookie year and won his first of two Super Bowls in his second season. Was Brady aiming too high?
  20. Given each of their ties to the NHL I could see Pegula and Jacobs joining up, even if Pegula takes a minority ownership role.
