  1. I take back my worries about Darby. Hes bouncing back in a big way.
  2. And just like that an extended drive for nothing...
  3. I have no idea. But as this is going to likely be the only preseason game I get to watch live, I'm not complaining.
  4. I hear that if the reduced suspension happened it would be one game. I can hardly imagine a more Billsy outcome.
  5. Hey, do you know how much effort it will be to get Shady back to Philly and turn him into a monstrosity that can only be killed by dragon glass and valyrian steel! I get results dammit! I could just turn him into a wight, but nooooo, I'll just hear that he has "slow eyes" and is an "undead shambling corpse". Some fans...
  6. Wow, this got really off topic. But I have to hammer this home. From what I can tell, the scheme is a LOT like what Pettine was doing when he was here. Marcel is the 1-technique nose tackle. Kyle is the 3-technique tackle. Hughes, a little surprisingly, seems to be holding up well at the 5-technique end, and Mario just dominates whatever he does. Of course we'll adjust our LBs as necessary, but this is usually what we are doing. Nose Tackle only becomes a need if we let Dareus walk this offseason.
  7. It does have varying intensity. I felt ugly day one, was in agony day 2 and by day three it seemed that it had cleared up. Then the feverish hallucinations started...
  8. I don't know about Hernias, but it seemed as if he was good Sunday. I *can* say from experience that appendicitis can come out of nowhere and make you debilitatingly ill and in pain.
  9. OS...while I can appreciate the rhetorical argument of "appeal to authority" usually you look for someone better than Paul Hamilton when it comes to the Bills.
  10. Crap. Can we get some more info on Karlos? He was looking so good!
  11. Umm no. Maybe if Hogan shows a flash of something even resembling Goodwin's YAC the other night, I might reconsider. I'm just glad it's heat fatigue.
  12. I am still shocked at the level of Tyrod dislike. I've been as much of an EJ homer as anyone, but I'm thrilled to see someone, anyone, showing consistency and solid chain moving. One of the points Cian brought up is that Tyrod not so much opened up massive passing attack. He points out where he missed an open Woods. But what he says is that Tyrod did enough to spread out the defense so that Brown could run. And that's it for me: He did just enough that we were able to run the ball effectively. That, as far as I understood, was the primary feature we were looking for at QB.
  13. Actually, over the last two years EJ has looked numbers wise as good as or better than Cassel. And Tyrod has been backing up a SB Championship QB who is making bank.
  14. And you think...Rex Ryan...of all people...would be overly cautious? On something he has vowed to not be a part of?
  15. So, what you're saying is that after Rex promised an open QB competition, coming from a scenario where the lack of an open competition screwed him over, decided to settle, sight unseen, on an aging veteran whose high water mark was limping into first in a terrible division, watched the OTA's where said vet was the worst easily, and went "yep I'm staking my career on this" The only way he does that is if the plan is to tank for a higher draft pick next year.
  16. Absolutely! Granted CK did come into camp out of shape last year. But when CK, Seantrel, Henderson...and even URBIK of all people show marked improvement, you have to assume the coaching and scheme are at least partly responsible
  17. I absolutely detest the instant first down on holding. I don't know how many times we've seen third and insanely long, or a 4th down and long punt get simply erased because a ref is feeling too touchy that day.
  18. Thanks OP! From what I was going on it hardly seemed as if Taylor was unable to make throws from the pocket like some people seemed to indicate. Dude...you could have faked it to make it *look* like you read the OP.
  19. Well, in fairness, if one guy misses by a mile and the other has his receivers catching a case of the drops it does matter. I will note that this gives some leeway to EJ but I still think Tyrod had the better day.
  20. I might be harping on this too much, bit Roman has a track record of heavy used of unbalanced/ heavy sets. I see no problem with having a close fought match with CK and Seantrel. Whoever loses out should still get quality playing time.
