  1. Touche. But a lot of the narrative when the trade first happened was "well, it sucks that we had to lose a good player and a fan favorite, but he had a salary which was booming and we got a good player in return" Now it's "Did you hear Shady expressed an opinion on our coach that I don't like, yet looks increasingly accurate? He sucks! We wiped off Buffalo aka the Siberia of the NFL lol" So yes, the schadenfreude is real. I am not even joking about being called the Siberia off the NFL. Eff you Eskin.
  2. Rough break. At least it happened during practice this time. I bet they're going crazy on Philly sports radio.
  3. This. Darby is looking great. We have Robey in the slot. We can, if absolutely necessary, roll AW or CG as a boundary CB. Brooks and Butler don't sound to be doing too bad as the 4th and 5th CBs on the roster. I'm worried, but not panicking.
  4. It's my favorite rebuttal to the "but he's consistent" argument. Consistently subpar is not better than cycling between subpar and acceptable.
  5. I just saw this pop. On one hand, I have nothing against Kiko. He was a lot of fun to watch, and he played well for us. On the other hand, boy, do I think Whaley had good timing. I have a feeling that Shady will get 5-10 more touches a game than Spiller. Usually one follows the other.
  6. Anything for those of us who can't listen?
  7. Or that there was the chance that there could be a time that your boundary CBs are wiped out from injury. Justin Rodgers. Never forget the pain.
  8. Sounds like McKelvin rein jure himself in the offseason. If Whaley knew that before the draft and kept it quiet he looks brilliant for taking Darby.
  9. Hey, their play wasn't THAT offensive. It sounded like they made progress. ...whoops Rex giving Tyrod his second straight good start #PleaseGodNotCassel
  10. Sure, but he certainly seems to be making the case for more time. If wonder if that's on purpose. That sounds a lot like how Russell Wilson won the starting job.
  11. When I say consistency, it's not so much along the lines of his overall as much that he never seems to have the worst day. Cassel is stuck on Meh to average, and EJ has been all over the map, but Tyrod seems to range from Meh to impressive. If anyone has watched a bunch of the practices and has seen otherwise please let me know. I'm going off this secondhand.
  12. I know I've been a staunch EJ guy, but apparently Tyrod looked good today as well. If he's more consistent I'm starting to buy in.
  13. Kyle is chasing JJ Watts offensive production. Seriously, all those SF Gans who said Roman is predictable were off their rockers.
  14. It sound like Kouandjio is in full pads today. Good sign.
  15. I think theres a subtle difference the the requirements for the positions. Right guard is a little more focused on run blocking (Miller's specialty ) while left guard needs more of a focus on pass protection. It's a subtle difference but I prefer Reggie on the blind side.
  16. Hey, I'm happy to hear about Wood. Going by the Astro-notes , Glenn, Incognito look very very good and Miller looks very good. Cyrus and Seantrel have both looked average.
  17. Unconfirmed sources tell me that they will wait until December and will then abandon him on an ice flow on Lake Erie. Tyrod and his ability in the intermediate passing game.
  18. I am a little surprised for the love the Phins are getting as well. I think they're a decent team, and Tannehill is progressing nicely and seems to be better than anything we have. But we are, at best for them, a wash at the O and D lines ( I think we have a slight edge at D line) and TE. We are easily superior at WR where we have three really impressive plays, while they have broken down Greg Jennings and two ok to meh players in Stills and Landry. They have NO real CB depth after Grimes and their linebackers are abyssmal. TBH I'm more worried about the Jets than the Dolphins.
  19. What! You mean he hasn't been traded yet?
  20. No, the English language did it for you. Not to come down too hard on you, as I do it as well some times, but that is the correct difference.
  21. Good to hear. We've seen 2-3 years of minimizing the importance of guard play. Right now I'm hearing the same thing in Philly (cut Harremans and Mathis, the two starters) and people are going on about how since they have tackles things will be fine. I'm trying not to laugh. My worry about Tyrod would be that he would be just a running QB. That he has any chops at all as a pocket QB is heartening.
  22. I am increasingly. Even if it's only "meh" his run game and long ball make him interesting.
  23. I'm actually less and less worried about the scrambling as time goes on. The O-line so far seems far and away better at run blocking that pass protection. If scrambling forces 8 or 9 men into the box I'll feel a lot better.
  24. Hmm, thanks. At this point what are your impressions of Tyrod? From the outside it seems like he's never the worst or the best, but tends to light things up with big plays.
