  1. Yeah...a lot of people don't like that Goodell has ultimate authority. Hell I don't. Doesn't mean Brady isn't guilty.
  2. Well, all I'll say is this: at the very least, on the wake of the scrimmage which was supposed to be important in picking a starter, can we admit that Cassel has sucked. Seriously sucked. I don't know if EJ or Tyrod are great but they sound leaps and bounds better than Cassel.
  3. Does anyone know why Tyrod was "dissapointing"? He got the team in position to score and his numbers looked ok. Either way I'm happy to see EJ step up when the moment waa big.
  4. Look, I've been a staunch EJ supporter. I think he might win it out. But at this point, going off of the reports of many of our own visitors, and Rex's comments and what all the biggest local beat writers have written (Fairburn, Sal and Joe) Tyrod has looked very good overall and has looked good the last three days. He's young, under contract after this year and has an upside as a mobile QB. If he is our best qb I will not be sad. But EJ also seems to be improving and coming along. At this point, just not Cassel. He's not even accurate at short range never mind medium or long and he has no mobility and he's not under contract so if he wins we likely sign another Fitz like contract. No thanks.
  5. I think that's on the plan for next season. Really, who was on the open market, and who was there at our pick in round 2?
  6. AnyOne who thinks that Baltimore isn't cold come December hasn't been there. That said, Vick had one productive year in Philly.
  7. That's not really a fair bet. If Cassel is the starter, given how bad he has looked, everybody you've made the bet with will have jumped off a bridge.
  8. That's not really a fair bet. If Cassel is the starter, given how bad he has looked, everybody you've made the bet with will have jumped off a bridge.
  9. That's where I am too. If both can be consistently decent in the scrimmage tomorrow, I am happy to let them fight it out and leave Cassel in the dust.
  10. I hate to say it, but are you sure he's still #2 on the depth chart if he's injured for a few weeks. He's missed substantial time each year since 2011, his YPC have dropped and he doesn't do special teams. Will it hurt that much to have him sit until he's fully healed?
  11. Makes sense. It would force them to plan blind.
  12. Don't look now, we might actually have a real quarterback competition on our hands.
  13. It's PFT. Of course not. Call me crazy but I think we'll start to see the pendulum swing back from offense to defense within a few seasons. We're seeing mega money deals for slightly above average QB play in Flacco, Dalton, and Tannehill of all people. The going rate on QBs is rapidly outpacing the salary cap.
  14. People asked Sal on twitter about which QB has looked his best at his best and the worst at his worst. Answer was the same: EJ, then Tyrod then Meh. I am thinking more and more they split the baby.
  15. That's nothing. Between 4 back to back Super Bowl losses, JP Losman, Billy Joe Hobert, the "Music City Miracle" and a 15 year old playoff drought we've been saying there's no god for years!
  16. Well, they did acquire a number if free agents, but it looks like everyone on the Front 7 looks like a rotational player. Trent Cole, who is decent, will start but he's not Mathis. Looking at it, I fully expect them to shut down the passing game, and with Luck I think they have an advantage in the passing game. But man, they were giving up 4.3 yards per attempt on the ground. I entirely see us using the Pats Model (MINUS deflating footballs. That's cheating) and gash them for 200 yards.
  17. Well the new starters don't seem to be a problem as much as the quality of starters. Harremans is a decent vet coming off an injury that year, but 70th out of 78 guards puts him in Pears and Chris Williams territory. And he's the best they acquired. I absolutely believe that even without Dareus, Rex will be able to dominate their O-line all day with 5 rushers. With Gore still kicking, I'd want Brown in, but if we're playing Nickel/Big Nickel/ Dime all game, we still have depth in Gilmore, Darby, Graham, A. Williams, Robey and Duke/Meeks.
  18. Any word from Astro? I thought he was at camp today and I'm jonesing for a report.
  19. After hearing negative reports on Darby I was pleasantly surprised to hear Fairburn give a favorable review. But I guess even some uneven play shouldn't be a surprise out of a rookie.
  20. Oh god I had forgotten about that...
  21. Tyrod is the MVP. I don't want to jump to conclusions, but that's never stopped me before.
  22. Don't get me wrong. The Colts are loaded at skill positions, have a bruising RB who is still going strong, and a QB who can sling it. That said, that's what they said about the Bears last season.
  23. I checked, and so fat the only O line changes they've made here signing an aging Todd Harremans, and taking a guy one pick away from being Mr. Irrelevant. Our D line must be kicking their chops.
  24. Anything substantial for those who can't listen?
