  1. I'd like fans to bring radios to the game next week. Then take out the batteries (hopefully some D's) and chuck em at the Pats sideline.
  2. Can the rest of the owners just vote to take the franchise away? !@#$ court, and !@#$ these guys.
  3. Doesn't seem to be the case that it only lasted a quarter or that Pats also had headsets out. Also, if this is happening regularly and the Pats know it's coming it is an advantage. Where there's smoke every week, there's probably cancer. http://deadspin.com/what-exactly-happened-with-the-steelers-headsets-1730005682
  4. It seems like if their balls were really this big you'd be able to see them through the pants. I'm wondering if it actually could be a fan? I would guess it wouldn't be too difficult for a fan to rig up something to broadcast over the Steelers channel.
  5. http://deadspin.com/what-exactly-happened-with-the-steelers-headsets-1730005682 http://www.steelers.com/news/article-1/Steelers-come-up-short-vs-Pats-28-21/ad8bc9f4-cbe1-4730-ac8d-e9e9aee21c5f Surprised this is coming directly from the Steelers web site.
  6. perfect
  7. I only watched the first quarter of the UB game, was surprised to see the final since it seemed pretty even in the first 15 minutes. Penn State's offense looked completely inept last week, will be interesting to see if they can improve.
  8. Good old Fred. I think him signing with NE would have been as or more hurtful than Thurman signing with the Dolphins all those years ago. Thanks Fred!
  9. Wow, you and I are worlds apart. I think Browns Jets is 50/50, and I picked Miami over Washington as my survivor pool pick this week (unless you just had it backwards in your post.)
  10. Tyrod does a lot of running, right? So he may actually run around our line to the point where a defender has a shot at him. Agreed that as in any game he's got a good shot at making it through uninjured, but figured since we are talking about hypotheticals I should point out the obvious. Are you listening to the Dean's story? That rule changed in 2011. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/07/22/nfl-drops-third-quarterback-rule-46-active-players-on-game-day/
  11. C'mon guys, only 13 to go to give us a full 53 man roster.
  12. I wonder if this is less important with Rex since I would guess he's more approachable to all of his players, not just the veteran leaders. I do like the idea of having established captains in place for the whole season, but I can see where there might be advantage in motivation by sometimes giving it to a guy playing against his former team (maybe Hughes gets the nod in week 1?)
  13. I had a really hard time with this. In the end I ended up having it done, because I had a male relative who had to have it done as an adult due to a chronic infection, and it sounded a bit traumatic.
  14. Did anyone push going mobile yet? I think it's better than going rogue anyway.
  15. Or one of the other cuts around the league to PS or active roster, I think we have two open spots now, right?
  16. Not sure if this was already posted and I missed it. The four other players Buffalo released to reach the 53-player limit were: DT Red Bryant C Dalton Freeman S Jonathan Meeks LB Kevin Reddick
  17. Yeah, and they can keep him on PS until needed
  18. It is common, but it seems weird that a coach that has more than once complained about not having enough talent last year keeps picking up the guys that are cut from the same talentless squad.
  19. I could go either way with Cassel, and I agree it's a risk cutting him, but I strongly agree with the bolded. If they want, they can easily roll Cassel's money this year into an extension for Dareus that pays him that much more this year, adding to the total $ he would get.
  20. If we were going to cut him for cost reasons then it'd certainly be better to get any compensation in return. But maybe not with the relationship between coaching staff and Cassel.
  21. Or maybe to find someone better than Simms and cheaper than Cassel from someone else's cuts? Grossman? Not sure how open he'd be to a paycut since he sounded pretty pissed about not getting much playing time in the preseason. He might prefer to go to another team. I think he worked with Bill O'Brien in New England.
  22. I'm guessing he just realized he forgot to guarantee a Super Bowl win.
  23. There's another episode where the same dude pretends to be Tiger Woods. I'm hoping he can complete the trifecta as Mike Tyson someday.
  24. The gang gets invincible.
  25. I honestly have no idea, just edited out. BTW, I have no desire to see him fail, but I had a lot more confidence in Fred being able to pick up crucial first downs. And the talk of Terry being cheap is (hopefully) obviously a joke.
