I'm predicting Peters will not be signed before draft
billsfreak replied to murra's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He is already signed-for two more years. But the links are good though. -
I'm predicting Peters will be signed before draft
billsfreak replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You obviously don't have a mirror in your house or you would be frastrated for life. -
Not so sure you are right about last years game. It was more of a home game for the Phins than the Bills if you looked at the jerseys and standing fans in the stands. Not to mention, the weather had no effect on the game, and weather has always been the biggest home field advantage we have-no disrespect to the 12th Man.

I think the NFL is really trying to push the games in Toronto and try to sell more tickets than were sold last year. For one, it is on NFL Network, and there is still a large portion of the country (not sure about Canada) that don't get that network, so it is almost like the NFL blackout policy-if you wanna see it you have to buy a ticket. Secondly, playing the Jets, you will have many Jets fans make the trip to Toronto, just like they do to the Ralph when the Jets come to town-much more than would make the trip from Miami or Indianapolis (even though it seemed like there were more Dolphins fans there last year than Bills fans, but they might have been bandwagon fans from Canada/NY). I just wish I could wake up and this whole Toronto crap was just a bad dream.

Jests complain about schedule for religious reasons
billsfreak replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Who are the Jests? You can't please everyone all the time, it is impossible, but it is an oversight scheduling both days like that. I don't really think they will do anything about it though, I can't remember them ever changing a schedule because of fan complaints. I am not Jewish, do these holidays preclude them from attending events on those days? I know there are restrictions for them, but I have almost zero knowledge of the Jewish religion. -
Madden Retiring from broadcasting

One of the greatest coaches ever, one of the greatest announcers ever and needless to say one of the best promoters of the sport period. -
I'm predicting Peters will be signed before draft
billsfreak replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not one year into a 4 or 5 year contract they aren't. I didn't see Ruben Brown ever get a new contract because he went to a Pro Bowl, much less for 9 or so straight seasons. -
I'm predicting Peters will be signed before draft
billsfreak replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The fact that others are making more money than him is irrelevant, it is all about being a free agent at the right time. So Owens is making more than Evans this season, so under your theory he should hold out. Last year Edwards made only a fraction of what Losman was making. If any player was underperforming it was Peters himself. Nobody put a gun to Peters' head to sign the last contract, in fact the Bills were being quite generous in offering it at the time, in fact they were the one organization that gave him a shot as an undrafted Free Agent to begin with. As far having the majority of 33 million paid in the last season, he would never sign it because him and his agent are aware that the Bills could just cut him after year two and he wouldn't get any of it that wasn't a signing bonus. -
These two topics are getting tiresome
billsfreak replied to Billsguy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Honestly, I could sit through two days of post on these two subjects if I never see another Jason Peters thread and I would be fine with that. -
I don't believe Moss has ever won a Super Bowl, he went to one and they got upset by the Giants.

I'm predicting Peters will be signed before draft
billsfreak replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Of course there has to be apprehension. Look at it this way, It is like buying a race car that had some really good races a few years ago, but for the last year it has been sluggish, stalling and running like crap. Do you buy it for what it did prior to last year? I think I would be apprehensive about buying it at all much less paying top dollar. Maybe my analogy sounds dumb, but I don't even like racing-just the first thought that came to mind. -

I'm predicting Peters will be signed before draft
billsfreak replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I predict that Peters will be traded before the draft comes to completion. As far as momentum from the Owens signing, I believe there were nearly as many people who were against it and thought it was a mistake as there were that thought it was a good deal. -
I Can't Wait 'Til The Home Opener!!
billsfreak replied to R. Rich's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I can't wait either, but unfortuneatly we are still closer to the end of the 2008 season than the beginning of the 2009 season. -
T. Graham's new Peters article
billsfreak replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Even if there was a way to performance base a LT's contract, he wouldn't sign it. He might be stupid (might not be too), but I am sure his agent isn't. Imagine if he played last season on a performance based salary-he would have been lucky to make the league minimum, in fact he might has qualified for food stamps. He wants the money guaranteed so he can continue to be lazy and under perform but still rake in millions. -
Rotoworld reports that JP Losman has received no known
billsfreak replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Your reply may be one of the dumbest I have seen. Where in my post do you see that I say Losman is awesome? Get some glasses. It is fact that Peters sucked ass last year(what a dozen sacks or so-more than anyone in the NFL-now that is awesome!), he is lazy, thinks he is better than he is ever going to be and hopefully will be out of here sooner than later. Losman wasn't good in Buffalo, but he wasn't any worse than Peters last year. Peters has had one good year in Buffalo-just like Losman did. Don't freakin read things into a post that aren't there. A 2 time Pro Bowler that every single person on the telecast of the game, the selection show and NFL network, ESPN, Fox-anywhere you looked said it was a joke that he went last season. I am tired of hearing he is a Pro Bowler, everyone who has ever been concious during an NFL season knows lineman go there on name not performance the majority of the time. By any chance are you a moron too? I bet you can't sleep at night knowing that they got rid of Derrick Dockery-get a tissue. -
Why do we play Jacksonville so much?
billsfreak replied to Kingfish's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That is their way of thanking us for taking Rob Johnson off of thier hands and giving them a pick that turned into Fred Taylor. -
There in one thing missing from your lineup: A quarterback that can get them the ball and have time to get them the ball. You can't will with all skill position players, who is going to block?
-
Who couldn't you say that about on the Bills' defense? They played just as well when McGee was out, when Schobel was out, when Crowell was out, when Simpson was out, when Poz. was out, etc. Bottom line is, the defense hasn't been very good for a few years now. You mention Polamalu and Reed as if they are only good players, they are the best two safeties in the NFL, that is like saying if your WR's arent as good as Jerry Rice then you have no chance. There are only so many of the truly great players to go around.

Rotoworld reports that JP Losman has received no known
billsfreak replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why should he do that when Jason Peters looked just as bad, if not worse, and he is asking to be the highest paid LT in the NFL, maybe he should give some or all of his salary back too. -

billsfreak replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He took a billion sacks because of awesome lineman like Jason Peters and Derrick Dockery protecting him. -
Unsubstantiated second-hand Peters news
billsfreak replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Now that you said that it makes sense. Thanks. We don't want him to starve do we? He will probably eat that 1.5 million in burgers just during training camp if he ever shows up. -

billsfreak replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If it is true and the Bills offered hm that much, which is about 3 times what he is worth, and he declined?- Get him out of here for a couple picks now. He is turning into a huge cancer for this team. -
Rotoworld reports that JP Losman has received no known
billsfreak replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I never said I was in love with Losman, and I am not-note I said I was glad he was gone. The statement was more my astonishment in how fast they signed Fitzpatrick, when there are still-2 months later, better quarterbacks left on the market that could have been had for much less. Losman has all the tools to be successful if he could ever get the mental part of the game down, which is becoming increasingly doubtful. I just think he might have fared better had the coaching staff handled him better out of college. I bet you were probably the guy who wouldn't take his #7 jersey off while he was here, now you act like you hated him from the get go. It is easy to be an armchair quarterback when hindsight is 20/20! -

You may be right, Fitz may have more of a "backup's mentality" than J.P. does. J.P. is still in the mindset that he should be a starter, and if he doesn't start he kinda gets lost mentally. Not that I would, but if I had a gun to my head and had to go into a season with one of the two as a starter, I would take Losman.
