  1. I agree, this is Trent's make or break season. He didn't make the progress that everyone thought he would last season, in fact as the season went on he went in just the opposite direction. If he doesn't show something this year to make the FO think he is the answer, there will be a new QB next season to either push him, or put him on the bench or even out of Buffalo. Just pray that worst scenario doesn't happen, that Trent sucks badly and they turn it over to Fitzpatrick. I actually had a dream last night, that Fitz decided to retire and we could get a new backup QB.
  2. Who is Flute? Any relation to tuba or trumpet? Oh you mean Flutie-just bustin ur chops.
  3. Yea, the guy was pretty much a first round bust, but he does have a ton of physical talent if he can get under a coach who can get inside his head, he could still revive his career. People have real hatred for Losman on this board, and it is really, for lack of a better word, Stupid. If we had a roster of players that all had his class, character and work ethics, the off season at OBD wouldn't have looked like an episode of "America's Most Wanted" or a daycare center with millionaire athletes whining like little babies. We haven't had a QB take an interest in the Buffalo or the Western New York area since Jim Kelly with the only exception being Losman. It is one thing if you criticize his play on the field, but to show outright hate for the guy is f**king retarded. I really hope he gets a chance again and makes it pay off and hopefully it shuts up some of the idiots on this board who are hiding their Losman jerseys in their closests and now acting like they didn't like him all along.
  4. A good portion of your statements are comical, but Fred Jackson being our best back? That is way up there in ridiculous. With Dominic Rhodes now on the roster, Fred Jackson would be our 3rd best back. I like the guy, and he is an excellent backup, but in just one or two good games in his career, and how he is better than Lynch and Rhodes-Ha! As far as Whitner, I am not pleased with his recent arrest, but holding last years prediction against him? Plain stupid. If we had a roster full of confident players like him, maybe we would have made the playoffs last year. His prediction wasn't the reason we didn't make the playoffs-Again! It was poor coaching, poor blocking, among many other things, but a simple preseason prediction sure didn't lose games for us. As far as our schedule, you are quite optimistic. After losing every division game last year, splitting with everyone except the Pats would be more than we can expect.
  5. 10 time better? I would say 30 or 40 times better at least.
  6. My gut feeling is that by the middle of the season, if not earlier, Johnson will be the #3 receiver, going past Reed and Hardy (whom I think he will pass in camp). He will get some balls this year, but one of these receivers has to make their move this season, as the Bills will need a #2 in the 2010 season, since T.O. will be long gone by then.
  7. Can't do any worse than the OL did last year, plus we know they will be at training camp.
  8. The Patriots hired a coach that the Browns didn't want. Now he has 3 Superbowl Rings. The Giants hired a guy that the Jaguars didn't want anymore, he has a ring now. Not saying Jauron will ever come close to one ring, but it isn't always the coach, quite often it is the organization too.
  9. I would say going 2-8 in our last 10 games after a 5-1 start is somewhere between frustrating and bottoming out.
  10. No Kidding-Michael Vick, Marcus Vick, Deangelo Hall, Plaxico Burress, Brandon Ore, Percy Harvin, etc.- the list goes on and on, and people always ask me why I still consider Western New York home?
  11. As I have posted on TBD several times, you don't want to go near Harvin on draft day. He has all the talent in the world, but is a bigger head case, than maybe anyone we have ever seen. Having been in the Virginia Beach area for the last 16 years, I have heard all about this kid during his high school days. To start, he was suspended in both his senior and junior years for games during the football season, once for a conflict with an official. Once, almost costing his undefeated football team, during his senior year, to be disqualified from the state playoffs-the team didn't know until days before the playoffs whether or not they were going to be able to participate. I believe the other incident had something to do with spitting on someone. He was suspended from the basketball team for fighting an opponent. He is the only person in Virginia State High School history to be disqualified from a sport for his behavior, when during his senior year at Landstown High School, he was banned from the Track Team for the entire season. People at Florida have stated that he lives in "Percy's World." Now with this failed drug test, that comes as no surprise, just more evidence that this kid is a walking time bomb for an NFL franchise. This kid will make the T.O.'s and the Ocho Stinko's of the league look mild. All I can say it ignore the talent and stay away from him, he is made for a team like the Raiders or Cowboys.
  12. When old Ralphie Boy forced Bill Polian out of Buffalo.
  13. Hopefully he can start to act his age now.
  14. Sure it is good news, we would be dumping one of our criminals and should get quite a bit in return since he is worth millions according to himself.
  15. I am not saying they would bring him in, but it is highly possible they cut him when he wasn't totally washed up, just not worth the mega contract they signed him to a few years ago. He was a huge part of their salary cap if he would have stayed around this season.
  16. Good thing you woke up when you did, I am sure they would have finished 7-9 or worse again.
  17. I am not saying they would for Bolding, he has major health concerns and a "Peters Like" attitude, but they might for someone who deserves it, unlike Peters who didn't deserve even close to it.
  18. The "Get him for us Russ" or "Get It Done Russ" posts are getting ridiculous. Where would Boldin play? And who would sit the bench? Lee Evans? T.O. isn't going to sit, he would blow up Ralph Wilson Stadium if he was told he was the #3 receiver. Boldin isn't going to come here if he isn't going to start. We have more holes than almost any team in the league, and you want to give up critical draft picks, to add to maybe our deepest position on the roster?
  19. I would recommend a jersey from one of the draft picks, at least this time next year he will still be on the Bills roster. This time next year, T.O. will either be signed by another team or out of football, depending what happens this season. I already have a closet full of jersey from ex-Bills that I don't wear anymore, I don't need another anytime soon.
  20. Who were the 3 other teams (or more as you state)? I would be surprised if anyone can verify that other teams were interested, and not just internet rumors. I haven't heard of anyone else, or is this more crap to make the trade look bad. It is the best move the FO has made in a long time.
  21. They traded Stroud last season, but he looked OK for someone washed up.
  22. Wait til Jason Peters reads this? I really don't think he can read, otherwise he might have know that he led the league in sacks given up, it was only published everywhere. He must not have a TV either, because ESPN and the NFL Network mentioned it enough times.
  23. Exactly, look at last season, we started out 5-1 and still landed in dead last place and so far out of the playoffs that we couldn't event get tickets for it. If this team starts 0-3 becuase of Lynch being out, he will have single handedly kept our playoff-less streak intact himself. Saying that, getting Rhodes was probably the smartest move that the Bills have made this off-season.
  24. And I hear he also started drinking pretty heavily as of late, every since the Bills dumped him.
  25. After last season (or for his entire career for that matter), I seriously doubt anyone who gets paid to think so, thinks he is the best LT in football. The Eagles would have said that if they signed Dockery, just to appease the fans and sell tickets. That "essentially a 2nd round pick" you speak of, is higher than we drafted almost everyone on our roster with the exception of 4 players (Lynch, Whitner, Evans and McKelvin). The got all they could for a malcontent, lazy, money motivated underachiever, that not a single team in the league besides the Eagles were even considering.
