  1. It sure was, by the same exact score if I remember right. The Bills didn't even show up and Ruben Brown was pulled from the lineup and never played for us again.
  2. Let him go hang out with Charles Haley, or better yet , let him whack off on the corner, maybe Marshawn can run him over.
  3. Those players you listed were all key parts to the great 90's teams, but aside from maybe Reich (and he wasn't very vocal), I would never have considered them the leaders. The leaders were Kelly, Talley, Bennett, Hull and a few others. Teams at any level are going to naturally look to the biggest stars for leadership. On this current team, I would have to say maybe Lee Evans, Mitchell, Whitner and maybe Schobel would fill the leadership position if anyone did.
  4. I would like to see Shanahan here, but be realistic. Ralph isn't going to pay any of these 4 guys what they will demand. If Jauron is gone, it will be another retread with a career losing record or close to it or a coordinator that he can pay minimum too (i.e. Greg Williams, Mularkey, etc.)
  5. Me personally at this stage of their careers, I would put Lee Evans above T.O., but does any of it matter if you don't have a top 10 Quarterback? They don't throw each other the ball. Lets just hope Edwards can make progress this season instead of the terrible play he displayed the second half of last season.
  6. I don't believe Pacman Jones ever failed a drug test either, he missed over a year.
  7. That was a big part of it, coupled with the fact that after Lynch and Jackson, our RB depth is non-existent. They also didn't know at the time if Jackson was even going to show up for camp because of the contract issue. They knew they needed someone for the first 3 games either way, Jackson can't handle being the every down back in the NFL.
  8. He was another "Yes Man" and company guy, just like Ralph wanted. It doesn't matter how bad it gets, or how little support he gets, they know he isn't going to get up in front of a podium and tell the world. I don't think I have even heard him speak more than a couple times.
  9. Let's hope the FO is just as excited. He would be a definite upgrade over Ellison, and Ellison would give us the much needed and sorely missed depth at LB we haven't had in quite some time.
  10. I would extend Trent Edwards when and if he proves that he is indeed the answer for this organization at QB, and not just the next in one door and out the other as a failed savior. This is truly a make or break year for Edwards, if he doesn't prove it this year, next summer there will be a rookie or an established veteran on the roster pushing Edwards out the door (ala Losman).
  11. It is not even close, TD screwed us in a major way. What good things did he accomplish? Drafting a loud mouth running back in the first round, who he knew wasn't going to play at all for at least a year because of a busted up knee? Twice trading a first round pick for a quarterback, neither of which got us a sniff of the playoffs? Such stellar picks as Mike Williams and John McCargo. At least Marv was responsible for what could turn out to be the best Bills draft in a couple decades with Edwards, Lynch and Poz in 2007. He also improved the character of the team, of which has been in decline again since he left. Levy wasn't a GM anyway, he was a friend and ex coach who Wilson brought in to try to straighten up the ship. All parties concerned knew that when Levy did Ralph the favor of coming back, it was just for 2 years. Donohue had made a living as a GM, and totally jacked this organization up, bad enough that we really aren't totally recovered from his tenure yet.
  12. The days of a team having just a home and away jersey are long gone. The more variations of jerseys that a team has the more sales of jerseys to fans=more money. Will never happen.
  13. Because it is Wikipedia and anyone can modify or add to it. As a matter of a fact, one of my daughter's school teachers often gives online assignments but strictly forbids using Wikipedia. He often goes in and modifies an article on Wikipedia to make it wrong, just so he can see if his students use that site.
  14. I think it would probably mean that one of the two rookies, if not up to par, would sit for a portion of the season under Butler. I don't get a warm and comfy that two rookies, no matter how good they can be and probably will be, will both be ready to start full time as soon as the season starts. Plus, wouldn't some depth be great on the OL?
  15. You are absolutely right as long as the OL gives him time to throw the ball and make good choices.
  16. I never said Levi was a savior, but they aren't doing anything as far as protecting Edwards blind side. Apparently, he isn't the only one with a blind side. I never said I know more than them, but have you watched any NFL Network, ESPN, or any other football related show, perhaps the NFL draft a few weeks ago? So none of them no anything either right, they all said the same thing as I do about our OL. The Bills could bring back John Fina at his age, and people like you that don't see reality would think it was the best move the organization could make. Wake up.
  17. I didn't know Jesus was a Bills fan. All that pull and we still haven't made the playoffs in a decade?
  18. There you go dreaming again.
  19. Moon shouldn't be on the list. Everyone on this list led thier team to at least on Superbowl, I don't think Moon even ever won a postseason game did he. The choice is so easy, it has to be Montana. A great leader with 4-count them 4, Lombardi trophies (3 SB MVPS) to show for it.
  20. It all boils down to the front office either being too dumb to see that the OL is going to keep us from competing for a playoff spot this year or they are just too cheap to do anything about it.
  21. That wasn't a dream it was an erotic fantasy. Can you share what you were smoking before you went to bed?
  22. It was easier after Brady went down, for the other two teams in the division, that actually had enough talent to capitalize on the injury. That just goes to show you how much more talent the other teams had than we did. We are a big reason why our schedule looks so tough every year. When you go 0-6 in your division, it plays a big part in your opponents having a better winning record the following year, which is what they base schedule difficulty on.
  23. Dilfer got a ring because his team had one of the greatest defenses in the history of the NFL. I don't think anything on our team is quite close to being the best in the league now, much less in the history of the league. Although, we did sign one of the biggest *ssholes in the history of the league.
  24. If the Bills don't turn it around this season and Dick Jauron is canned, or if Edwards doesn't play better than last season, we might not even have Van Pelt after this year.
  25. You could very well be right, but I would put my money on Polian finding another franchise QB when Manning is nearing the end. It isn't a coincidence that the Colts started winning shortly after Polian got there. When you think about it, the Bills winning era coincided with Polian's tenure here for the most part.
