Brandon Marshall requests trade
billsfreak replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am somewhat shocked. Someone started a post that someone in the NFL wants to be traded and we haven't had a "Get'r Done Russ" yet? Are people slipping around here or just joining reality? -

Best All Round Athlete
billsfreak replied to Canadian Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you are talking about pure athletic ability and talent and not career numbers, nobody compares to Bo Jackson. He was a superstar in both sports, one of the best in the league in baseball and football. I belive he played in the Pro Bowl and the baseball All-Star game in the same season. Not even close, Bo was magical. -
Falcons releasing michael Vick today !!
billsfreak replied to SKOOBY's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am not sure about anyone else, but I am so tired of seeing "Get'r Done Russ" quoted on these boards, everytime any great, good, bad or terrible player gets released, becomes a free agent or someone decides to say they might be traded. Help!!!!! Not everyone that breathes needs to come to Buffalo-that is why the Redskins are in the shape there in, Snyder wants everyone. -
Tickets required to attend training camp
billsfreak replied to LGB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have been driving from Virginia to Pittsford every year since they moved there from Fredonia, and I really don't think they need to change anything about the way camp is run. It is annually considered one of if not the most fan friendly camp in the NFL. If you switch the shuttle charge from the shuttle to the ticket, then the younger kids that aren't required to pay for the shuttle would then have to pay, because they are required a ticket. -
New Name For K-Gun in the Edwards Era
billsfreak replied to Chief D's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes it was. From what I read, they are bringing the 'No Huddle" offense, not the K-Gun. There is a big difference. For one, Kelly called all the plays, that will never happen nowadays with Trent or probably any other QB in the NFL. But if we must give it a name, I would suggest: "Squirt Gun", the "Not So Special K Gun", or maybe "T.O. is in Charge-Or Else!" -
if trent misses games this year due to injury
billsfreak replied to loyal2dagame's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why would we do that? According to a select few people on this board, Ryan Fitzpatrick is an elite Top of the Line quarterback? -
Could SB victory keep Bills in Buffalo?
billsfreak replied to offde-fence's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So could a spaceship landing the middle of Ralph Wilson Stadium, about as likely. Seriously though, winning 5 Superbowls won't improve the economy in Buffalo or the surrounding areas. The reason the Bills ever would leave wouldn't be because they don't have good fans and alot of them, just not enough money being made. -
I hope it isn't either, but after multiple problems already, I sure wouldn't be surprised. When was the last time a multiple offender in the NFL stopped at 2 incidents?

Dude, optimism is great, but please are you serious? You have Arizona, Indianapolis, San Diego and New England just to name a few that are much better than ours. There are several that are just as good as us if not slightly better (Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Dallas, Minnesota, etc.). I think we have a young talented team, but even if everythings pans out, I might put us in the top 40% of offenses in the league. At present, as much as I like Trent Edwards, our quarterbacks are closer to being J.P. Losman and Billy Joe Hobert backing him up, than a QB on the best offense in the NFL. It doesn't matter what weapons are around you, if the QB doesn't play top notch, the offense is never going to be top notch. Go Bills!

Be careful what you say about Fitzpatrick on these boards, there are a select few who think he is a reincarnation of Johnny Unitas and will jump all over your sh*t for saying anything negative about him. I too think we could have done much better than him.

It is good to see, but it is pretty much the norm especially with players who aren't familiar with each other and their individual tendancies. Still a good sign though.

Former Buffalo Brave & Buff St Grad Randy Smith died
billsfreak replied to bills44's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That is a shame, RIP to a Buffalo legend. I haven't really watched an NBA game since the Braves left Buffalo, but never missed them when they were there. Randy Smith with Bob McAdoo and Ernie Degregorio (sure I spelled it wrong) brought some good childhood memories for me. -
Ralph Wilson picks Chris Berman
billsfreak replied to RayFinkle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I just brought up a suggestion as to one of the reasons why he may have picked him as was everyone else, I didn't say that was the reason. -
I have watched they guy play for the Bengals and the Rams (yes he did play for the Rams for those of YOU who didn't know who he was until the Bills signed him now he is superhuman) more than both of you put together most likely. Besides, if I am talking out of my *ss, you must be looking at my *ss to know that.

By reading your know it all posts, you are either related to Noodle Arm or you are getting a cut of his overpaid contract.

Ralph Wilson picks Chris Berman
billsfreak replied to RayFinkle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree with you, anyone who has been a Bills fan for more than the last 5 or 6 years has to love Berman, he has without a doubt been the Bills biggest supporter on a national level. He has become good friends with Kelly and many of the other former Bills. -
Ralph Wilson picks Chris Berman
billsfreak replied to RayFinkle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't think "everyone' hated Bruce for picking Cotrell, in fact I read most of the posts the first day on that subject, and there weren't too many negative ones. I too though, would have liked to see him continue the tradition of Marv Levy inducting him, what entertaining speeches he gives. Not to start a controversy, but maybe it was a race thing? -
Ralph Wilson picks Chris Berman
billsfreak replied to RayFinkle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not sure what his connection to the Bills or Ralph is other than the Circling the Wagons slogan? Maybe he wasn't his first choice, maybe someone turned him down, but who knows? We never will. Ralph has burned alot of bridges over the years with people that were coaches and executives in the organizations (Saban, Wade Phillips, Polian, etc.) But what an entertaining guy Berman has been for years. I met him at both Marv Levy's and Jim Kelly's induction ceremonies and also sent him a card to sign at ESPN about 15 years ago and he actually took the time to type me a letter as well as sign the card. One thing good about it, it will make the ceremony go a little quicker, Berman will be introducing himself as the presenter. Back Back Back Back Back! -
Lets Give the Bills & TO some credit
billsfreak replied to Casmolopitis's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You can't blame any of the long laundry list of problems that Owens has had on the Media or the fans of the teams he has played for. He brought all of his problems on himself, and the media reported it, maybe until you were sick of it, but he had to give them something to report. As far as the fans, they supported him in each and every city he has been in, until he turned on the team/organization, and the fans supported the team and not him-just like any good fan would and should do. I will support Owens because I am a lifelong Bills fan, that is until he turns on this team and has Trent Edwards for dinner, than I will support the team just like the fans in Philly, San Fran and Dallas have. I have never thought that it was a great idea to bring him here, but he is here so hopefully it works out for the best. -
You hit the nail right on the head. I wish our organization sucked as much as the Patriots have.
-
I guess the major difference here is that Wilfork has played consistently well (dirty at times), unlike fat boy Peters who didn't deserve a raise.
-
The odds of him being here more than one year were pretty slim from the moment he signed here anyway. If he has a good year and keeps his mouth shut and doesn't tear the locker room apart (fingers crossed here), he will go somewhere for one last fling with a team that has a chance to win a championship. If he rips apart this locker room like he has many in the past, he may be done unless some team like the Raiders take him.

One less dirty cheap shot artist we have to worry about.
