  1. Maybe it is true, then they will have someone to keep Lynch in line when they are both in the Slammer together.
  2. One could also argue that not giving the job to Flutie costs the Bills a trip to the Superbowl and who knows how many more wins, as he was clearly the better quarterback, and even more so a bigger winner. All Flutie did was win. The controversy started by ownership trying to control who played set the Bills back as much as anyone. We had some real talent on those teams, and things like that kept them from reaching their real potential.
  3. Cutler could be the best Bear's QB in decades, but maybe not. Only time will tell, but the Bears gave up an awful lot for him. Could work out well for the Bears, but "will" work out for Denver, they got a good deal on this one.
  4. True, but I think he only gets the money for the games he is there, which kind defeats his whole argument. Coming in by the 10th game gives him an entire year for FA purposes, but that is usually a tactic used when a player is in their final year on a contract, so I don't think it will come to that. I truly think he will either resign or be traded before the season starts, if not before training camp even starts. I wouldn't be surprised if one or the other happens by the draft.
  5. You think it is tough to get players to want to come to Buffalo? It would be near impossible to get them to go to Canada. They couldn't sell out one game last year, how would they sell out 8 games in a single season. Stick with your CFL and be a minor league for the NFL, who we get one good player from about every 8 or 9 years.
  6. April Fools Day was yesterday. They can't just sign him if he is already signed on another team. Your research or common knowledge is the failure in this case.
  7. I might be wrong, but I don't believe he will get paid if he is holding out.
  8. If you read the whole thread, it was in reply to someones argument that 31 other teams would want him that is why the Bills should keep him.
  9. Almost everyone agrees Peters should get a raise, but unless he lowers his asking price, he shouldn't get it. There is no way that anyone is going to make him the highest paid lineman in the NFL, unless they are really clueless. This deal will get done if and when a compromise is made between Peters agent and the FO. Both sides need to give a little, which I really think the Bills will, but the question will be if Peters lowers his demands.
  10. Whatever, I am not kneeling to your level with petty arguments again, I fell for it once a few weeks ago. I didn't throw the word "moron" out there, you did.
  11. I agree, if there are 31 other teams foaming at the mouth for Peters, we should be able to get just about anything we want then. If that is the case, why is he still here?
  12. Lets see, he has had one good year and one terrible year, so how do u determine which is his normal year? It seems to me like holding out and whining for more money is becoming his normal year. Notice I didn't drop to your level and start name calling, i.e. Moron.
  13. It's you again? Do you ever post anything on here besides slamming other peoples posts? Or criticizing other people? Why don't you post something worth reading. Every other posts on TBD, turns into a pissing contest between you and someone else, give it a break please. If the Bills have another left tackle, how does that give them leverage? If they already have Peters replacement, then the leverage crosses over to Peters, since he would know they have to trade him for whatever they can get.
  14. I say sign him than Marshawn Lynch can run him over with his SUV and take off. Then Lynch can hire PETA as his attorneys, and he will surely walk on that charge.
  15. Eric Moulds wasn't a bust his rookie season. You have to get a chance to perform to be a bust. The Bills still had Andre Reed. They had Quinn Early whom they just signed as a free agent coming off an 81 catch, 1,000 yard season the year before with the Saints. With those two options, Moulds was treated like first year recievers should, as a #3 at best option. As soon as Andre Reed moved on, Moulds blossomed, like he should have and did.
  16. It is starting to look like he will be gone by draft weekend. Hopefully some team seriously overpays for our unmotivated, whiny, underachieving Tackle who thinks he is better than he will ever be.
  17. You are right, Winfield wasn't the best CB in the NFL when he got his contract, but he was available-Peters isn't he is under contract for two more years. What, because a player changes positions, he gets a raise? C'mon, please, based on last season he isn't worth what he is getting paid under his current contract. I say, let him play in 2009, and if he has a season where he plays at Pro Bowl level, not just get voted in, then pay him, otherwise leave it the way it is. Make him either play for Buffalo or not at all!
  18. If he sits out for 10 games, he still has one more year under contract that would be the same story over again, except he would be even less likely to get any raise. I agree, the Bills have all the leverage, or at least about 95% of it. And if someone is trying to screw Peters, isn't that karma since he screwed the Bills and all of his teammates over last season? He wants to be the highest paid lineman in the NFL, imagine what he would want if he acutally had a good season last year, he might want to be paid as the highest player period in the NFL.
  19. Mike Golic only played one year, his last 1993 for the Dolphins, so he was not there for the entire Bills 4 SB run.
  20. Lucious and Fred Sanford? Tom, Greg, Bobby and Peter Brady?
  21. Now come on, Peters can swing a game, didn't you see the game against the Jets in the Meadowlands? He swung it in the favor of the Jets!
  22. Why? Because the guy wants a new deal every other year when he doesn't deserve it. If we go ahead and make him the highest paid LT in the league, he will be happy for a year or so, then start whining again. Dump him while we can get something good for him, after another dismal year like last season, we won't get anything worth a sh*t for him, if his whining and complaining along with his lackluster play haven't already hurt his value too much.
  23. A LT in progress? How about a LT in Regress is more accurate. He is always going to be better in his mind than he will ever be on the field. Edwards had a scrub protecting him at LT last season already, so what harm is another one. You can get LTs for minimum salary almost that can play as good as Peters did last season, so why pay him as the highest paid LT in the league? That would be like making J.P. Losman the highest paid QB in the league.
  24. That is kinda what we are doing now, manning it with a lazy fat slob who got elected to a Pro Bowl that he shouldn't have even been considered for. The best scenario the Bills can hope for is that someone drastically overpays for an underachieving lazy overrated sack giving up machine.
  25. My biggest fear is that the Bills get off to a surprisingly good start, maybe 5-1, with Lee Evans leading the league in receiving, then T.O. tearing the locker room apart becuase he isn't being thrown to as much as Evans.
