Nnamdi Asomugha’s contract voids
High Mark replied to superbills315's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I guess you could if you convinced Ralph to fork out 16 mil a year. And if you could id still rather have Mankins, Harris, a TE for that coin. -
I read that both Carolina and Bencer wanted Fairley now
-
You make some decent points by comparing Troupe to other in his class, but I thought those guys werent any good either. Dan WIlliams played like a shopping cart in college and was completely dominated by 1 blocker the entire Alabama game. Cody played less than half of his defenses snaps in college and his conditioning was a huge issue and still seems to be. I didnt want to draft a big fat guy who would eat himself outta the league. And I never saw Cam Thomas so ill leave that out. So now we reached for a guy who had a rough year and Im supposed to feel better because everyone else stunk too? Sorry if I dont. Ys I know that.

The player that needs cut the most?
High Mark replied to Buffaloed in Pa's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Can you cut guys who's contracts have expired? Maybin and Kelsay for me. -
So when can I start counting on Whitner to earn his money?

Poz extension waiting for new CBA
High Mark replied to Tortured Soul's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Poz has weaknesses which are extremely evident with the crap he is surrounded with. He isnt fast enough to pursue all the way to the sideline but if our end or OLBS could turn a play inside like they are supposed to then he would be stuffing people and everyone would be saying how good he is. Dont blame Poz for other peoples mistakes. He also shouldnt be our top cover LB but he is because of how terrible our roster is. -

Ok, well I say we sign sign Ngata, Sioli, David Harris, Woodly, Mankins, Z Miller or M Lewis, and the top RT too. Throw in Michael Bush as the cherry on top. Now we have a team! -
Nnamdi Asomugha’s contract voids

I am one to norammlly be all over this kinda stuff but not this time. I hate DBs and thats a lot of coin. I would rather sign Mankins and a TE or David Harris. No one even tries to throw on us anyways and no one can cover a Wr for ever with no pass rush. -
Why is it unrealistic to expect the Bills to draft good players?
-
I agree 100% with the OP. I have been calling Troup a shopping cart all season because of how easy he was pushed around. He didnt get on the field too often so it was easy to watch him on tha majority of his snaps and I can only remember 2 or 3 times he was stout. He was routinely blown out of the hole by the G or pushed into the 2nd level when double teamed. Carrington actually looked very good and I was suprised he wasnt on the field much much more. I was hoping for Grons/Spikes in teh 2nd the entire offseason and never would have expected Clausen/Lamarr Houston falling to us. I wish Troupe was better than he is but I cant see this guy ever manning the Nose. I also am calling schenanigans on the FALSE notion that it takes DLmen a while to adjust. Maybe it takes medicro DLman a while to adjust but not good ones. Look at all the other guys taken last year - they all played and produced. JPP played 10 college games and he didnt have to adjust. Suh was an all pro. Lamarr Houston started for Oak and he went after Troupe. This stinkin freak EXCUSE needs to go. Other teams draft good players and they start right/contribute right away. The Bills draft bad players who cant play. Get used t oit.

It shows you're ignorant when you blame YPC on a RB and not an OL. You also ignore that the Seaguzzards used Lynch in most short yardage and power packages to get the tough yrds and used the other guy in wide up scenarios that generally result in higher yardage gains. Lynch was very appreciated by fans in Seattle this year and I am sure they are even more pleased now. PS stats are stupid.

Pre game feelings: Coztanzza is mediocre Herzlich I very good and we should draft him bc is he gonna be great once he recovers from cancer treatments Moch stinks and is Maybin 2.0 I don't care about 7th round CBs Kapernack is rated way too high on your board and is a rd5-UDFA type guy at best.

I'll take not Spller
-
Or a TE like Gronkowski, a DE like Lamarr Houston, or a ILB like Spikes. All are 2nd rounders who went after our 2nd rounder and I would have taken all three at 9 if it was them or Spiller. what a waste.
-
I bolded the players I would rather have. You could add Tebow, Dez Bryant, and BUlaga to the list cause you forgot them. I dont feel like naming all the 2nd and 3rd rounders I would have liked over Spiller but there are a handful of them too.
-
He also had a 3 TD game and I think 87 yards IIRC. thats 3x the TDs Spiller ahd all year. I never really got why people hated on Lynch. He always tried harder than anyone else on the field and got no help from the OL or QB. He looks a bit slilmmer and quicker in Seattle, more like he was in college. Good for Lynch. Only the Bills could spend a top 10 pick on a position and turn it from a position of strength and make it worse

Bills coaching staff to coach senior bowl
High Mark replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is perfect for us - we need all the help we can get. There are some good names on that roster so hopefully we get a lot of them. I exoect a few more to join too. -
Two possible picks playing tonight
High Mark replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
resign george Wilson, let Whitner walk, and resign Florence. Then completely ignore all the DBs in this draft. Do the same for RB and WR. -
Check Out the Wisc. Highlight Video
High Mark replied to Stl Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
RBs are worth nothign its all about the OL. Someone please tell Ralph, Buddy, and Chan. I would love to get that left side in the draft. Their Ceneter is great too but not coming out he is too young. Another great RT/G prospect is Carpenter from Bama. There arent any highlights on Youtube but Bama can run the football and he is their best OLman. Please use a 3-4 on a G who can come in a be a beast in teh run game. -
3rd or 4th round? More like undrafted. He is big and slow. I like him and all but he was 3rd string on Wisconsin this year
-
Ay some positions yes, but at OT for example there are going to be normal mid 2nd rounders going in teh 1st because there isnt elite talent at OT this year. I would be fine with tradeing back but I think we could get more by going after 2012 1st rounders.
-
Now if only Ralph were smart enough to realize that. If he has realized it then he is horribly incompetant so take your pcik. But what the OP says is true we have no hope to even compete until Ralph kicks the bucket. Just look at what Craft did in NE. the value of that team sckyrocketed because they went from door mat to model of the league. If Ralph were smart he would have built a championship calliber team so when he does sell it he gets top dollar not bottom dollar.

If I was gonna sign some big time FAs I would come out and say "we are really looking to add stud veteran TE, LBs, DLs, and Olman this year. We probabaly wont have the cash for all of the guys we want but we are willing to pay top dollar for worthy players. If you are a top player at one of those positions make sure you ont sign a contract until your agent talks to us. We are turning this sh*t around and gonna destroy our opponents in the near future" That may be tampering but I hope not cause thats what I would say.
