10 Worst NFL Free Agent Singings of All-Time
High Mark replied to TSNBDSC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ok, so the Redskins and Raiders suck at signing FAs... who woulda known? -
Ill take Mangini then lol I heard that interview on ESPN radio the other day. It really angered me actually bc I kept thinkiong "Why the hell arent eh Bills doing this ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!" It kinda throws out the notion of BPA as the ebst strategy anyways - which I agree with, but thats another debate.

That is a pretty good write up. I likes like he would be best suited as a 3 tech but could also excell as a 5 tech in a 34. I cant believe they didnt show more running plays though. That always struck me as the weakness in Dareus's game were as I feel its tha strength of Bowers/Fairley's game.

I wouldnt mind the other Ryan brother, actualyl, Id prefer him to Mangini.

I have been saying this for a while. Am I a racist?

I would define franchise QB as someone who is priceless to your franchise. Someone who has no trade value because you would never trade them. Brady, Manning, Brees, Rodgers, etc. I would include young impressive guys like Bradford, Stafford, Sanchez, Freeman too, not because they are like the ones in the first group, but because they have a good chance to be as good someday, that’s the thought anyways. PS I don’t see anyone in this draft class that could be a franchise guy.

How is an OT or tight game different regardless of whats around you? Put your stas away cause they dont mean crap. You have to score, on this drive, to win. When Sanchez has had that challenge, he threw TD passes. When Fits has had the same challenge, he turned the ball over. Add in the fact he has accuracy and arm strength issues and you get a turnover prone (19 turnovers in 13 games) and you have a backup QB. One guy comes through in the clutch, the other doesnt. The one that does come through has a better overall arm and is in his 2nd year. The one that doesnt lacks accuracy and arm strength and has likely maxed out his abilities. Its really not even close. If you polled America like ESPN does (to eliminate any homers) I bet all 50 states would vote Sanchez.

My point is not terrible. My point is when the Jets are late in the game, Fitz (who would be a backup to Sanchez but that’s not the point) would throw an interception to the other team and lose his team the game. Sanchez did the opposite and won his team games. Its really easy to see. Take of you Bills colored glasses and open up to the fact the Sanchez might actually be good, and Fitz is still a pretty good backup.

Thast easy, Leonard by a mile, and I didnt need hindsight to tell me that either. What are you talking about? Leonard is heads and shoulders better than Whitner. ST player/ Backup? He has started for the Ravens and Jets - two defenses that are much much better than the Bills have been this millennium. He has had INTs, forced and recovered fumbles, and covered a TE – all plays Whitner hasn’t made. When he went down with injury all you heard from Sexy Rexy was how important Leonard was to that defense and how much their coverages suffered from him being out. People like you drive me nuts because its completely clear you have no understanding of good football. Whitner is your average run-of-the-mill nothing player. You get nothing special with him. He basically just fills a roster spot. He wont go on to another team and become great like all the other good players we let leave because Whitner simply isn’t very good.

This used to be possible but no longer is – as a few mentioned in some prior posts. But we theoretically could draft him this year, or at least plot to. We could try to trade around in this draft to acquire picks in next years draft. Generally, teams view a current 2nd rounder as a 1st in the next years draft., a 3rd this year as a 2nd next year, and so on. With a draft being split up into 3 days, we will have an entire evening to talk to teams about our 2nd round (34th overall) pick. Because its so high in the 2nd we could have a great opportunity to trade that pick for a 2012 1st rounder. We could also look to trade back from 3 and only ask for a 2012 1st rounder as compensation. Obviously its all just talk cause you need a partner but we could look to stockpile picks in 2012 and look to trade for the top selection if we don’t get it all on our own!

I don’t see how anyone could vote for Fitz here. Sanchez wins close games with TD passes and Fitz throws INTs and the Bills lose. Add in the fact that Sanchez is a 2nd year QB with untapped potential and Fitz is maxing out his physical abilities and you get a clear-cut winner. Sanchez is much better because of the (lack of) turnovers alone.

I wouldnt say that. We got Maybin because we are dumbassses. If we went BPA its Orakpo, if we go that need (passrush) its Orakpo. Somehow the idiot Bills FO got Maybin in the mix.

I actually like the Jets. Aside from these past two year, they would also squeak into the playoffs just to draft in the top 5 the following year. They never routinely beat us like the Phish or Patsies. They were always jsut another team on the schedule we had a chance to beat and they were always forgetable. Now, they have a brash cocky HC (which I like in a HC honestly) and the build their team the right way (defenses, OL, go out and get teh QB you want) then trade for good vets that everyone knows is a good deal (S holmes for a 5th anyone?) I guess I like their business model, and wish the Bills would copy it.

Easily the best mock draft I have seen. Cannon is a 2nd round tackle though, Id replace his name with James Carpenter who is likely to be on th eboard and is very good. Im not sure if Romeus will fall that much either. I like Dalton and all but Im holding out for a real superstar Qb not trying to fodder through late rounders at this point. Its just too unlkikely one comes in and takes over you know

Anyone else not enthralled by the DLs after Fairley?
High Mark replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
youtube.com Any video coming up after searching "daquan bowers" will do. He is a techtician vrs the run. And regardless of what some posters may have read on some 3rd grade mock draft site, he is a DE regardless of the defense he plays in. -
Jets prove adding top name Free Agents help
High Mark replied to Chuckknox's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thats a terrible defense. Doing something poorly isnt the same as doing something well. I could discount building through the draft by saying "Look at teh Bills they alwasy have high picks but cant get better, building through the draft is not the way to go" When the Jets traded for S Homles for a FIFTH ROUNDER I freaked because the guy is a bonafide stud. I remember fans on here saying that was "too much to give up" Holy sh*t did I miss something or is Wang really that good? I bet the stealers woulda taken our 4th over teh Jets 5th. Let me knwo when Easly is as good as Homles -
I want Kelsay gone so Ill add him to my list
-
well Heyward will be long gone, Moch has little to no football sense, but I do like Moffit. Seems like your standard Bills draft....we cant get anyone worth a damned till the 4th round or later!

How to Beat Brady in 3 Steps
High Mark replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
actually its only one thing, pressure. Every time a team tries it against him he crumbles. For reasons I cannot fathom 90% of teams dont even try to pressure him. -

They also got 2-3 players IIRC. If we could get 1 decent player, the 17th pick and the 52 pick, I would take that trade. We would then have 3 starters (assuming we had a real scouting staff at least) instead of just one (again assuming we had a real scouting staff. That would be an extreme though, and I bet we could get something better, but still get a 1 and 2 from a team. -
That my point! We HAVE A HOLE already with Whitner in there! We would be better by resigning GWilson or jsut letting Scott start. Any olde undrafted rookie could come in and let a TE score on him every signle play. Bold = yes italics = no Who claims its Whitners fault we have no LBs or DL? Whitner would still suck with better players at those positions. He cant cover anythign ever, so even if Kelsay wasnt on the team he still wouldnt be able to cover.

Reasons to Not Pick a QB in Next Draft
High Mark replied to box0life's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I dont see a single 1st round QB in this draft. I dont think there is one that would be BPA at our 2nd pick either. Hold out for a chance at Luck next season, or perhaps Barkley. -

In your and the charts opinion its a stupid trade, in my opinion its a pretty darn good trade. Thats why I get mad at Buddy for not accepting a trade I would like, the same way I get mad at Buddy when they draft a player I dont like.
