  1. You could spin it that way, or you could spin it.... that as there was no cap this season, there is no cap penalty for cutting him, where as there will likely be a penalty once a CBA is agreed upon. So cutting him now saves the Bills valuable cap space. As if they were going to use that cap space.... If we are going to the 34 Kelsay has no role anywhere. Heck, he barely ahs one in a 4-3. We should ditch that bum while the timing is right - see above.
  2. I just got the text from the Bills. I cant say im too suprised, he was pretty bad last year. That leaves us with Williams, Troup, Carrington, and Edwards (and Spencer Johnson I guess.). Hopefully we bail on Kelsay too and use those money allocated to those two guys and poney up for Sioli. The we are a top draft pick away from a very stout DL. DE: Williams/Carrington NG: Sioli/Troupe/Williams(pass rusing NG) DE: 1st Round pick/Edwards.
  3. Id rather trade back for an ice cream cone.
  4. Nevergiveup told me Darth Ice was one of those box headed dancers on stage during the SB half time show. I knew the guy on the left looked familiar.
  5. The spread option is a play in the spread offense and the spread offense is an offense. Maybe I am reading your comment wrong but it seems that you think the spread option is an entirely different offensive scheme, when it is actually just a play run out of the spread.
  6. I still think he is innocent.
  7. "The status quo means failing to recognize the many costs of financing, building, maintaining and operating stadiums. We need new stadiums in Los Angeles, Minneapolis, San Francisco, Oakland and San Diego; and the ability for more league investment in new technology to improve service to fans in stadiums and at home." I am a little scared that Miss Goodell named all the teams that need a new stadium (minus the Bills) and the first city he named (LA) doesn't even have a team, yet needs a new stadium. Considering that 4 of the 6 teams often discussed as moving to LA he listed as needing new stadiums (leaving out us and Jax), that makes me think it'll be us or Jax that will be leaving, as the other 4 are getting new stadiums. All bias aside it should absolutely be Jax.

  9. Because I am tired of reading an naïve poster attack a very well informed poster I will intervene and hopefully be able to settle this for you two love birds. Tgreg is one of, if not the most intelligent poster on the board when it comes to prospects and/or football schemes. Its clearly evident to anyone who has read his posts and understands the game. I was not surprised at all when he posted earlier in this thread that he played and coached the game. DreReed reminds me of Skooby and Darth Ice combined. A cross between Skoobys intelligence and Darth Ices ranting skills. Almost every post I read and think WTF is this guy talking about I look up and its one of his. I fell like you are still in middle school and have to pause your xBox to reply to threads. Keep up the good work dude. PS accuracy can be improved, but only slightly, with mechanics. Its a natural gift proved by some QBs with whacky mechanics still possessing great accuracy and vica versa. Locker is a thrower, not a passer. There is a difference.
  10. I honestly would be happy with Jordan. Here me out: - He isnt a running back - He isnt a corner - He isnt a WR - He is built like an NFL player at his position should be built. - We wouldnt have drafted a huge bust potential QB (like Gabbert/Newton) - The best T in the draft is a RT and not worthy a top 15 pick so its less of a reach there - Fairley will likely be gone - Jordan fits our 34 scheme better than Dareus or Bowers (at least according to the Bills if they make this pick) - There is no superstar NG or LB to speak of. - He has the bloodlines - Very good for a long time -> low bust potential I still prefer a couple trade backs like everyone else but I wont be too pissed if its Jordan over Dareus or Bowers if he truly is a better fit for the 5 tech. The only problem is the Bills same old staff is making the selection, so odds are he will be a huge bust! Fairley is a lot like Suh and one could easily argue the Bowers and Quinn are elite pass rushers. Thats 3 guys right there that could be considered top picks without much exageration.
  11. correct me if I am wrong, but the highest CB drafted EVER was Terrance Newman at 3. So are we or Denver willing to make Peterson the highest drafted CB ever? Hmmm... Im not.
  12. Make the 9 Billion dollar a year NFL pay for the new freaking turf.
  13. If it was 2008 He would have been 1 or 2. Now I dont think he has much of anything left. B Scott would make the list before him, and I prob should have put him on there.
  14. From what I have seen the past few years, including this year, accounting for the downward and upward trend of older and younger players: 1-KW 2- Moats 3- George Wilson 4- Florence 5- Carrington 6- Edwards 7- Poz Everyone else is 2nd last. Kelsay is last. ***I left out Merriman on purpose he never played as a Bill.
  15. No, I was raked over the coals for saying that this pass, which resulted in a palomalu INT at the goal line, was actualyl Fitzpatricks fault, and not Steve Johnson's. No one seemed to be able to grasp the idea of ball placement. My avatar is there to remind everyone, and because I haven't found a better one yet.
  16. Fine by me. I don’t care if there is a Blue Light or Verizon patch on the Bills jerseys, as long as they don’t charge me $25 to park my car on the crumbling gravel that is the Bills lot. I’ll take that trade all day.
  17. Taylor is my #1 choice for our 2nd rounder. Althought I really doubt he lasts that long, he is much better than that other guy from last year from Tenn went to Ariz I believe – can’t remember his name but he stunk. I also read during the Sr bowl that some teams thought he could play 34 DE. I can see this guy on the Pats. I wasn’t very impressed with Troupe this year, so I have little confidence being that stud NG I would like to see. I would also like to see KW move to DE and be more of the force he has shown he can be in our 4-3 alignment. I also think a team needs two good NGs, because I don’t care what kind of shape you are in, if you weigh 330+ you are not a 3 down player for 4 quarter. If not for Taylor, I am thinking Sherrod may last, or even Martez Wilson. There is always Rudolf or Stocker too. Heck even Shepperd Our 2nd round pick should net a Day 1 starter. If it doesn’t, epic fail.
  18. And I bet the guy we take at #3 isnt even on the Pats 1st round baord.
  19. Agreed. I have been scratching my head with this Locker guy ever since I saw McShay on his nuts last year. He was never any good - ever.
  20. If he is on the team, who is going to cover the TE? I'll be drafting Gronkowski very early in my fantasy draft.
  21. Mayock says he just finished watching tape on Watt, and ranked the onetime Central Michigan tight end as the premier 3-4 defensive end in the 2011 class Read what he said here http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/02/07/mayock-as-many-as-nine-defensive-ends-could-go-in-the-first/ I didn't know Watt used to play TE at Central Michigan? That would mean he has only plaed D for two or three years. Considering how dominant he was this year, that has to mean his ceiling is very high too. Just another option for a trade back I guess.
  22. I want to know how you convince yourself of these things. The confusion is incredible.
  23. Or the Bills could fire Modrak and all the other scouts, then hire a real GM and real Scouts, draft a good QB, and not worry about it for 15 years. Or they could trade/spend average QB money on one of the franchise QBs that have come up on the market recently (brees, vick, cutler) I don't think the NFL should reward retarded teams like Buffalo and punish competent teams who do what it takes to win. The government already does that to us citizens and it doesn't make anything better. "I think the best way of doing good to the poor, is not making them easy in poverty, but leading or driving them out of it. In my youth I traveled much, and I observed in different countries, that the more public provisions were made for the poor, the less they provided for themselves, and of course became poorer. And, on the contrary, the less was done for them, the more they did for themselves, and became richer." - Ben Franklin
  24. Denver's highest need is ranked P3. Seems strange.
