  1. At least Gholsten was/is the size of an NFL player at his position. I will never know what possessed the Bills to think Maybin was an NFL caliber human being.
  2. THANK THE LORD The Bills resigned their best Safety today. Now I can only hope Whitner is not here next year so that it guarantees Wilson is starting. This move more than anything else indicates to me that there may be some intelligence in the Bills FO. Its about freaking time that the Bills make a smart decision. Now draft some monster Lineman!
  3. NO Unless I am mistaken, the highest a DB has ever been taken is at the 3rd pick. That means the Bills are saying that P Peterson is the best DB to ever come out of college (or at least tied for the best). IMO he is over rated, but that’s beside the point. Only certain positions have a huge affect on the game. QB is the big one. DL is another. LT is another. LBs (outside of pass-rushing 34 OLBS) and DBs simply do not tend to affect the game nearly as much as those positions. WR and RB are even worse. That is why you don’t see those positions drafted that high too often. The Bills have proven that drafting WRs, CBs, and RBs, (the 3 positions that consistently affect the game the least) does not win you games. Drafting Peterson when there are DL prospects who are better, and play a much much much much much much much much much much much more important position in terms of football would me moronically stupid. That said it’s likely the Bills draft a CB or WR at 3. Draft some stud DL guys and watch Leo turn into a Revis, and Florence and MCGee also become better. The way to build a top pass D is the pass rush, not the other way around.
  4. My first reaction was “Well G Wilson must not be eligible” But I guess that’s not accurate. I cannot believe this team thinks Whitner is better than Wilson. The proof is in the pudding. Wilson makes plays (TFL, INTs, Forced Fumbles, Covers the player he is assigned to cover) while Whitner gets scored on for TD after TD after TD. If he starts for us next year I am taking Gronkowski in the 2nd round of my fantasy draft. Sure Whitner tackles a guy after no one in our front 7 did but that doesn’t make him great – that means he does his job in a slightly above average way. I don’t mind keeping him as a backup S but WTF JUST SIGN THE BEST SAFETY WE HAVE ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If we let him walk GW is going to go to a much better team, with a much stronger D, and be much better than Whitner. We will then be screaming about how we let the guy go. His success wont be because “he has better players around him so obviously he looks goo” It will be because he is better than Whitner and is a good player all by himself.
  5. I dont really remember him coming out and saying it like that though. Maybe I dont recall, but it sure is disheartening and doesnt make much sense to me.
  6. the Bills wouldn't be interested in trading the third pick unless the player they covet is gone once the Bills are on the clock. Nix noted he doesn't believe in moving down. That indicates the Bills will not shop the pick. I noticed this in another article about Newton and the Bills interest in him. http://espn.go.com/blog/afceast/post/_/id/26454/is-buffalo-blowing-smoke-on-cam-newton I cant believe a guy who wants to build through the draft and is a confident drafter wouldnt want to add more picks by trading down.
  7. I still like him.
  8. I disagree. Just because Troupe is a year older, doesnt mean its a given he improves. I also think that you need at least 2 guys at NG, and just because he isnt the starter doesnt mean he wont play. I also want to move KW to end where I think he fits better, so we could improve DE by adding a NG.
  9. I dream of it every night. I really hope we can trade back in the 1st, and add another 2nd so that we can add 2 DL guys and an OT, or even 3 DL guys. Mmmmmmmm.......
  10. Wilson is a FA. I am really hoping we resign him and let him start so that a much better team doesn't sign him and let him start for them.
  11. I dont see Peterson or Miller becoming defensive beast and unfortunately thats who I see us taking.
  12. JJ Watt put up 34 Reps with some long arms and huge hands. Him and Cam Jordan look like ideal 5 techs. Adding an extra 2nd in a trade down and still getting one of those two, or Quinn even, would be legit.
  13. I like all of these Tar Heels, especially the suspended kids. Quinn, Austin, Kendric Burney(CB)and the WR (cant remember his name) are all going to fall way later than they would have if they played. I would be happy with Quinn, Austin, and Burney as our rounds 1-3 honestly. I think those would all be high quality players, with great value.
  14. 1: Fairley or Dareus 2: Phil Taylor, Sherrod, Ijelana, 3: James Carpenter, K Shepperd 4: Herzlich 4: Moffit, Rackley, Jarvis Jenkins
  15. I really just hope we add James Carpenter. 2nd, 3rd, 4th round, whenever. I have watched him all year and he is routinely one of the best tackles, whether its game action, at the Sr Bowl, or at the Combine, he is at the top. I dont know why other people dont like him but he is gonna be a great Olineman.
  16. If we get a good Rt maybe that will help us run the ball more and more effectively, keeping our 32nd ranked run D off the field longer, thus improving our run D.
  17. Reading all of Gaileys/Nix comments at the Combine, and going back to their other comments, and knowing Gailey to like runners, I think Kaepernick is a guy they like and will try to add.
  18. I thought Fairley was 298? Id be ok with drafting him if he is 298 but not if he is 291
  19. I wouldnt draft a drug-free Mallet.
  20. Im on the hold out for Luck train.
  21. YOu think the 2nd is too early for Phil Taylor? Men of his size and mobility are in demand. If Dan Williams can go in the 1st Phil Taylor absolutely can.
  22. Quinn weighed in a 265, Bowers at 280. Makes sense, just looking at them you could tell Bowers had 15-20#s on Quinn, even if they were listed as the same. This dude is huge, whoever he is Kenrick Ellis Hampton 6'5 346 arms: 35 1/8 Hands:10 1/2
  23. Fairley at 6'5'' and 20 lbs lighter makes him a good bit skinnier. But watching them play, I would say Fairley plays biiger/stronger and Dareus plays smaller/quicker. I really dont think we have to worry about either of those two.
  24. Solder is pretty bad. He has been sinking like a rock on Maocks board too. was at 1, now down to 4. He will be out of his top 5 by April, and for good reason
