  1. A middle round RT or G. I have heard some good reports on him, nothing from me though. He will likely be over drafted by Buffalo.
  2. To quote the all-knowing Magic 8 ball: “All signs point to no” Dominant. Tell them to ditch that retarded trade value chart. This team would be just as well off if they landed Fairley, Dareus, Watt, Jordan, Carimi, or Quinn. If they move back to 8-12, they can still add one of those players. They don’t need to get two 1st and a 2nd and 3rd to make it worthwhile. A second this year would be a handsome reward and could be the saving grace for this team. Tell them to discount their asking price by 40-50% off of what the trade chart says you should be getting. Trades become much more likely then.
  3. tell that to your pals that want to take Von Miller . doh!
  4. O Ok. 1-Fairely 2-Dareus 3-Carimi 4-Phil Taylor 5-Quinn 6-Pouncy 7- Rudolf 8- Prince A. James Carpenter and Herzlich too.
  5. 1-Dareus 2-Carimi 3-Quinn 4-Phil Taylor 5-M. Wilson 6- K. Rudolf 7-B. Gabbert I don’t want Solder at all so I stopped at 7.
  6. Ill give you a 50%.
  7. Its gotta be ILB. At this point I don’t believe we have a single one under contract. Poz didn’t sign his tender, and was used outside for the alst half of last year. Davis was on a one year deal last year I believe, Ellison wasn’t retained (thank God) And Ayodele was also on a one year deal I am pretty sure. Even if we did have all those guys under contract ILB would still be our weakest position. OLB is much stronger. To the OP – Moats was our 2nd best player to finish out last season behind only KW. Moats played great vrs the run and as a pass rusher. He has cemented himself as a full time starter in my mind. Maybe not on the right side, if we add Houston or Quinn perhaps, or if Merriman comes back strong, but absolutely on the left. I really liked him in that Sam Over front last year. He was great. After him we have Merriman (who is a big ? but at least he is under contract) and Batten from last years draft. You could even argue Kelsay is gonna play some OLB. He sucks something awful but again he is under contract. That’s 4 OLBs under contract and ZERO ILBs by my count. Unfortunately this isn’t a strong LB draft in general. Im sorry but Von Miller is not worth a top 10 pick, and Quinn didn’t even play this year which is really going to hurt us. ILB is even worse than OLB. Too bad we are gonna add another bust to our resume.
  8. That’s not exactly a ringing endorsement. Outside of Phil Taylor – is there a 34 NG out there that has a 1st or 2nd round grade? Paea, Austin, they aren’t prototype 34 NGs. Saying he would be the 2nd best NG in this class is like calling him a mid 2nd round pick IMO. Plus, this really doesn’t mean much to me. When the head of a scouting staff, that has proved they are inept, endorses a player - that’s like a quasi-knock on him, isn’t it? The last thing I would want as a player is to be highly touted by the worst scouting staff in the NFL – because then you know you suck!
  9. What a horribly misguided post by the OP. Your conclusions are completely backwards. Maybin was a bust long before draft day, despite what some writer of Tan McShay may have thought. It has nothing to do with the Bills picking him, he would have been a giant bust on any team that picked him. But, he didn’t go to a good team, he went to a bad team – why? Well, good teams inherently have good scouting staffs. This is a fact because a team would not be good if they drafted poorly. The Bills are the laughing stock of the league because no team has consistently drafted as poorly as them over the last decade (not even the Lions who have added C. Johnson, Stafford, Pettigrew, and Suh recently). Maybin was a 4th rounder at best – that is a fact because Maybin was worth – at best – a 4th round pick. He has proved that with his play, I don’t think that is arguable. Now, wouldn’t a good scouting staff have been able to identify that? We have to figure they would have – because they wouldn’t be a good scouting staff if they weren’t able to. Now, wouldn’t a bad scouting staff think that player is worth the 11th overall pick? Yes – because they are bad. The reason the Bills picked him is because the Bills scouting staff has proven that they suck. Do you think it’s merely a coincidence that a bad scouting staff routinely selects bad players? No, those bad players are selected only by bad scouting staffs. That’s why you didn’t see good teams drafting Maybin. That’s why good teams didn’t draft Losman or Whitner or McCargo or McKelvin or Spiller. Good teams with good scouting staffs select the GOOD PLAYERS. That’s what makes them good. Bad scouting staffs select bad players. There is no way around it – the results are right there. Look at the Packers for example. They just won the SB with a whole bunch of players no one wanted. Mathews, Bulaga, and Rodgers fell in the draft. They took Raji over Maybin. We traded up to get Losman – but the Packers didn’t. Some people may think that’s luck – but its not. The Packers knew Losman wasn’t worth it, the Bills thought he was. One team traded up to select the scatter armed idiot and one team didn’t. One team selected the 340# monster and not the stick-like little b*tch that is Maybin. One team has the scouting sills to select HOF caliber players like Mathews in the 20’s, when Buffalo cant find an average starter int eh top 10. One team passes on a 12 year starter at RT and one team doesn’t – and only one wins the SB. The proof is in the pudding my man, you cant argue it. It all stems from the draft, and there are no coincidences. The Bills suck because they cannot draft. You would be foolish to expect a good player to be taken at 3, because a bunch of complete idiots are making the pick. Now NeverGiveUp is reporting they like Von Miller – which is no surprise to me. Another player that simply wont be able to get it done in the NFL. Just friggin great. Just don’t be complaining about how unlucky we are that Miller didn’t pan out, because it has nothing to do with luck at all, its all about talent and skill – which the Bills FO has none of.
  10. I am getting tired of the arguing back and forth. Eventually we will have to reach some common ground. Can a Miller supporter please provide some evidence of Miller being strong at the point of attack as a run defender, or displaying strength and power with his pass rush? There is plenty of video of Miller not doing those things, is there any video of him doing it? If so I haven’t seen it. Until someone can show me, I and a lot of others are not going to change our opinion on him. He is a bust in the making for a 34 team.
  11. If you have ever seen Bowers run in pads then you would know he is going to keep his hand down in whatever front he plays in. He would make a pretty good 5 tech I think, he anchors well and geets good extension on his blocker. He controls his blocker very well, and I think he is better vrs then run than the pass. He is nowhere near as good as Bruce, but he is a rare talent that can play 5 tech and really bring the heat to the QB.
  12. Which is why I said they must be planning to trade down from 3 or up from 34.
  13. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!! :-( On another note, here is to hoping that NeverGiveUp actually has a 2 way communication with the Bills FO. -Tell them not to draft Miller because his game doesnt translate to the NFL and they should trade back or take Fairly/Dareus. Signed: The people who havent f*cked up the last 10 straight rafts.
  14. So NGU, Newton? Miller? Peterson? Dareus? Fairley? Who is it!?>!?!?!
  15. Locker shouldnt get drafted. Period
  16. I guess there could be some good value at those spots especially at RT in the 2nd and if Stocker falls to our 3rd. But I think it would be foolish to avoid this drafts dominante and deep DL class.
  17. No way the best T in the draft lasts to 34. I think that this indicates the Bills are either trading up, trading down, or have completely unrealistic expectations for who will be available at their 2nd round pick. I guess an off the screen answer could be they are interviewing him about Watt – a real long shot at #3? Or maybe, trade back from 3, draft Watt. With the picks we gain in the trade back, couple those with our 34 and move up for Carimi. But now i am just dreaming.
  18. Miller. I don’t see his pass rush translating to the NFL and he will be a huge target in the run game. We would have a great chance to break the NFL record for rush yards allowed in a season with him in there next year. Newton at least would be more exciting. I think Gailey wants to run a spread offense which would be cool to see, and I think Newton would thrive in that type of O. If they try to make Newton a pocket passer then we are up shiits creek. I highly highly doubt that Miller is rated high enough to go in the top 3, and I doubt Nix reaches with the pick. Newton and Peterson are higher on the bills board I bet. I assume one of the stud DL players is too. Even if you think Von Miller is a stud I could see 8-10 players ranked above him.
  19. Yes, but the Bills tried desperately to trade up for Tebow, in the end they weren’t willing to give up as much as Denver. So by that line of thinking, yes, they really do want Newton. Gailey’s comments about “being ahead of the curve” in regard to mobile/spread QBs in the NFL is really quite telling. *I fully believe he wants to run a college spread offense.* That would explain why they drafted Spiller and ditched Lynch. It would be extremely risky but I would love the experiment. I just enjoy games when running QBs are in there, that’s one reason why I like college better than the NFL. Watching Tebow play at the end of last year was very exciting. VYs rookie year was awesome. I just hate it when teams draft a guy like VY or Newton or Tebow, and then try to turn them into a pocket passer. You didn’t draft him because of his pocket-passer skills, so let him run around and make plays. Design an offense for your unique weapon – don’t force him into a mold he doesn’t fit into. Take Newton only if you are going to run the spread and give him 10-12 designed QB runs per game. *IF* that’s what Gaileys plan is then I would be fine with us drafting Newton, if not, then pass. Why draft him if you want him to stand in the pocket? That takes all of his skills away from him. Design an offense specifically around Newton, that’s the only way to make him successful. This year that is the case.
  20. Its the main story on Buffalo Rumblings. Cant say Im too happy about it, I think he is gonna bust, but at least it would be more entertaining. Id like to see what Gailey dreams up with this HB/QB hybrid. I think its very likely that we take Newton, because the Bills clearly went after Tebow hard last year and with Gaileys comments, I think he wants to run a full-bore college spread offense.
  21. Found this on a Broncos board from a local station in Denver. Todd McShay is a total weenie and gets more things wrong than he does right but worth the listen. http://www.1043thefan.com/channels/thedrive/Story.aspx?ID=1376906
  22. Lets name all the pros and cons to Mallet Pro: Strong Arm Tall He took a snap under center before Cons: Everything else
  23. Ok, but I want a QB that can excel without top tier WRs. If he cant dominate college without top tier WRs he probably wont in the NFL either. Pass.
  24. I thought this was going to be a Von Miller thread honestly. Just because it worked in college, doesn’t mean it will in the NFL. Yes but unless I am mistaken, he was benched multiple times in both years. He wasnt a backup, but he counldt hold the starting job either. He was on a "short leash"
