  1. Costanza stinks but its actually a pretty good draft after that.
  2. You need to start accepting that accuracy is extremely hard to improve, and 9 out of 10 never improve at all.
  3. Who in their right mind would take Peterson over trading down and a boatload of picks? I mean if you wanted to sit put and grab Dareus or Fairley that’s one thing, but Peterson over one of those guys or a trade down? That is exactly whats wrong with the Bills – they think like those fans do!
  4. The easiest, most obvious way to increase revenues is to increase the # of games on TV. Currently the NFL only shows 3 Sunday games at 1 or 4. Why the hell they don’t show 4 is beyond me. That would increase their revenues at least 20% for the 1 and 4 timeslot. I cant tell you how many times I haven’t watched a game because “O looks it’s the NFC East again…yawn” If there was a 2nd game in the 4pm slot on CBS, I prob would have watched it, but instead I raked leaves or mowed the lawn. Adding 17 games to the TV Schedule over the course of the entire season would instantly increase TV revenue, and wouldn’t cost the league a penny I also think that starting Thanksgiving weekend they should start having Friday night games. The reason I use Thanksgiving is because most states HS seasons are wrapped up by then, at least the regular seasons are, and HS football dominates Friday nights in most parts of the country. I personally would love a Friday night game, way more than a Thursday night that’s for sure. That could be what, 6-7 more prime time games? Adding 23 games to the TV schedule could be huge. If you do the math (17 week season, 3 Sunday games, 1 Sunday night game, 1 Monday night game, per week, plus 7 Thursday night games a season) there’s 92 games on TV. My proposition increases the number of TV games by 25%. Now lets look at the Owners 18 game schedule, with the same number of TV games per week that they show currently. You would only get between 10-12 more TV games per year, which is less than half with what I proposed. Sure you would lose the ticket revenue, but you would more than double the TV revenue (which is the big money maker anyways) Now who exactly would be opposed to having more games on TV on Sundays? What about Friday nights? (not competing with college football like Thursdays) I think everyone would like that, players AND Owners.
  5. I didn’t credit all of their success to cheating, but I did and would credit their 3 SBs to cheating. They barely won 2 of those SBs by a FG. Your telling me that knowing the other teams defense couldn’t account for 10 yards over the course of a game and make those long field goals too long? Truth is the Patsies prob wouldn’t have won a single SB without cheating. Where would that put Bellicheat? Where would that put princess Brady? A hefty fine? They fined Bellicheat 500k. Sure that’s a lot of money, but considering winning the SB makes you a 8+ million a year coach that’s a drop in a bucket. That’s like me getting fined 2500 bucks. Mr. Craft got fined – big whoop. His team won 3 Super bowls, I bet the income he saw from that could pay his million dollar fine a hundred times over. Not to mention that the pats franchise went from one of the league’s lowest valued team to one of its highest valued (in terms of equity/dollars) in this decade. O and a 2 year revocation of draft picks isn’t crazy at all – its essentially the same exact ban the NCAA places on teams that recruit illegally (no scholarships for 2 years) which is how I came up with it. It also isn’t rare for coaches to get fired over such obvious violations (that is if they don’t run first – like Pete Carrol). Getting fired from a big time job can easily set a coach back a few years. Besides, I said I want strict punishment for rigging an NFL game – you don’t? Penalties are supposed to deter people from breaking the rules after all. Let me put it this way. Would you rather have 3 SB rings, OR the 32nd draft pick and Ralph Wilson gets 1 million more dollars.
  6. If he can prevent TEs from catch TD passes every time our D is in the red zone then sure, lets get him.
  7. What they did was criminal, and I am really angry that D Bag Goodell didn’t do more about it. He destroyed the evidence and tried to save face for the Patsies and the NFL. I understand he tried to “save the integirty of the game” ( I mean imagine if they admitted that all 3 SBs were cheats and not valid, which they are/were, but its different if the NFL confirms it) but I don’t think letting the franchise off with a slap on the wrists is the way to go either. I would have liked to see Bellich banned from the NFL for 5 years and an 2 entire years worth of draft picks (rounds1-7 in 2 consecutive years) taken away - based off of the NCAA ban of no scholarships for 2 years. If they did that then I bet McDanials wouldn’t have been doing the same thing just a couple years later. I also think the Lawyer went the wrong way in suing the Patsies and not the NFL. Its teh NFL that passed games off as legit competition, not the Patsies.
  8. That is what’s known as a “self-fulfilling prophecy” more than us having good scouting IMO. The Bills suck. So with that, it makes sense that more UDFA Rookies would make the team because there is less competition. Also, If I went undrafted, I would want to sign with the team that gave me the best chance to make the team. So assuming I am a desirable undrafted rookie with options, I would choose the Bills over the Steelers or Packers because it would be easier to make the Bills. More proof of this is that the Patriots have multiple undrafted players as starters and are much better than us. If it was our scouting that made us good, I think we would have more UDFA starters. I do believe we have proved we draft better in the late rounds and are more successful with undrafteds than our top picks though (that’s mainly because of our 1st round bust history but whatever). I chalk that up to Ralph and Russ Brandon and other people who shouldn’t be in the draft room having too much a say in the early rounds.
  9. The numbers dont lie. There are almost no white RBs or CBs. Maybe one 3 or 4 total in the NFL right now (starting at elast). Is it racist to say blacks are better RBs/CBs than whites? I dont think so because the stats back it up. I think the same is true of QBs. You could argue the reasons as to why it is but one thing you cant argue is the end result. So no, at this time, I would not say it is not racist. It would be racist to say that a black QB cant be good though, because we know thats not true.
  10. its because we draft like crap and all our ****ty rooks (Maybin, McCargo, etc) all make too much money\
  11. I have long said I liked Julio Jones over AJ Green, and it doesnt seem to be such a stretch after the combine. The Bills have done stupider things (like drafting Spiller lol)
  12. Its an interesting take. Does anyone think that Gabbert, Newton, Locker, whoever, is a better option NOW and for the future than Kolb? I mean, Kolb has experience (something like 19 games) and has a good amount of 300+ yrds and multi TDs in there too. If Kold was coming out in this class, he would far and away be the top QB. Doesnt that mean that the Bills would be better off trading the #3 pick for him - rather than drafting a QB actually in the class? Thats another way to think about it when trying to determine Kolbs value in a trade.
  13. I stand corrected, it was the Shrine game. And I said a Levi Brown type guy in the sense that he will be a late round QB who is prob a career backup. I do like him though.
  14. I am going to put my interpretation on their review: Weaknesses: Is a great athlete but raw football player and needs to be more consistent with his effort. I never saw any effort issues with him, but I coulda missed it. Does not dip shoulders well to turn the corner. Agreed but I still think he is a great rusher. Doesn't always rush the quarterback aggressively and the offensive tackle gets to him. False Tends to block upright and gets taken out of the play. When does a LB block? Can hesitate on inside run, leading to a missed tackle of the running back. Translation: Justin Houston plays good team defense. an OLB in a 3-4 has to keep his contain and force the ball carrier back inside so the MLB can make the tackle. He is slow playing anything to the inside as he should. **this is the main problem that has plagued the Bills D ever since Takeo left. This is a plus not a weakness for Houston Does not hustle in pursuit and stops trying when the play gets away from him. SO what? The play is away from him... I want him to stop sprinting and save his energy for the next play. I dont expect one player to make every signle play. Bottom line: Houston has rare initial quickness, I dont really see the quickness. He time's the snap well which is where this comes from, but he doesnt have great quickness. but he's so lazy his value has dropped. He has the physical talent to be a future Pro Bowl player, and if he finds some passion, he'll fly up draft boards. However, Houston will struggle to be a consistent starter in the NFL because of his lack of effort. Again I dont see the laziness. He deffinately shows more effort on backside pursuit than Von Miller and thats not a knock on him that anyone talks about. Houston reminds me of Lamarr Woodley actaully. He may even project more in ILB because of his "brute force, head on" style of pass rushing, if that makes any sense
  15. He was one of the more impresssive QBs in teh Senior Bowl game. Prob another Levi Brown type prospect, but almost any player is worth a 6th or 7th.
  16. I was thinking WR actually. Id take him in the 2nd but not over one of the good OL, DL, TE, LB guys that should be there.
  17. I like houston a lot but its tough to say really when quinn didnt play this year. I do think he is a much better option for OLB than Miller is though.
  18. I think Dareus/Fairley is the only way to go in the 1st. The 2nd should be a starting T like Sherrod, Carimi, or Ijelana, whoever is there. If we dont go that way Heyward, paea, or Clayborne should be available in the 2nd. I doubt Wilkerson or Taylor lasts that long. 1 and 2 could very likely be the two DEs Nix wants to add, or so he says.
  19. Yes, I dont think Newton is very good. Yes, according the the reports, the Dolphins are very interested in Newton and believe they will have to trade up to get him.
  20. That was a positive post! O, and I actually hate being a Bills fan. Its a hopeless addiction I wish I could free myself of - but I cant. If you can show me one reason to be more positive, I promise Ill try to be more positive, I just dont see any reason to!
  21. The Bills Brass not only determined Chris Kelsay was worth keeping on the roster, they actually extyended him for 6 mil a season. Go figure.
  22. Because there isnt a clear cut starter in that rag-tag group of castoffs, I feel like that means we really really need a quality right G.
  23. No mallet or Locker in any round.
  24. If the Bills FO has a clue, GW will be starting and lil Donte will be on the bench. That said, Wilson will prob be the backup safety.
