CB Separation analysis - Sauce is ridiculous
QB Bills replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
As a die-hard Bills and Leafs fan, this is a point that hits way too close to home. -
What a joke. This clown literally stole a potential super bowl from the team with that epic choke job in KC a couple of years ago and people still bow at his feet. He should have been fired on the spot right then and there. The drought really has scarred many of you from dreaming big. We lucked into the most naturally gifted QB in the league. The bare minimum should be a playoff spot. Clapmaster 2000 is the weakest link on this team. I had wished ownership could have seen this even if the pompom waving crowd couldn't.

Thirteen seconds was not McDermott's fault. He said it himself after the game. It was "execution". Who wouldn't want to play for a great guy like that? Throws his players under the bus when it's him and his staff that blew it. Saying this clown is a great coach pretty much tells everyone you are not a knowledgeable nor objective fan. Which is fine. Not everyone is. You have the most naturally gifted player in the league at the most important position. Making the playoffs is the bare minimum right now. Yet the team is actually getting worse if you really look at it. They looked uninspired through most of the season starting with the Sunday nighter against green bay. They were lucky to beat the dolphins at home who were starting a 3rd stringer and then got blown out the following week. If the players look listless, that's at least partly on the coach. All this "leader of men" garbage flies out the window if you don't have Allen behind center. McDermott is Dick Jauron 2.0 who lucked into a great QB or he'd be a DB assistant in Carolina right now.

Bills Radio PBP Announcer John Murphy suffered a stroke last weekend
QB Bills replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
Murph is actually one of the better local pxp guys out there. Some of you need to hear how amateur other teams' announcers are. Hope he is doing well and is in the booth week 1. -
Deandre Swift from the Lions likely available via trade
QB Bills replied to CorkScrewHill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Eagles give up a 4th to get a stud RB on a cheap contract (albeit one year). A pick they'll likely recoup as compensation when he leaves for free agency next year. We give up a 4th to move up two draft spots. Maybe the next trade we should make is Beane for Roseman? -
Damn, you were right. Sufficiently depressed now. What is the point of life if Josh Allen isn't part of this list?

Was thinking the same thing. That one simple word is a great litmus test 🤣

From WR7 to WR1 to one of the best in the NFL
QB Bills replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
You have some of the worst takes on this board so this is totally on brand. Using team wins/losses to critque a receiver is about the laziest argument one can make. What did Calvin Johnson ever win? Guess he's overrated too. -
Cam Newton open to backing up Buffalo Bills’ Josh Allen
QB Bills replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall
Did anyone else watch that and hope Josh would be the first white QB he picked? Alas he picks Dr Rodgers 🙄 -
Two Bills Drive being correct on the Draft: Who did we get right?
QB Bills replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
I remember a few people here were really high on Aaron Donald before the draft and said he was the best player in the class. Some may have even said he was a generational talent, but my memory is a bit foggy. I've always wondered who those people were and what made them think that as he wasn't even a top 10 selection. And also what other players they had strong opinions on. -
Ya, would suck to have the greatest coach of all time here. Let's stick with clapmaster 2000
-
A few of mine: James Cook is a below average RB and is a significant step down from Motor. The biggest position of need on the team is the d-line and they should use their first round pick on a lineman (again). Ken Dorsey is a better playcaller than Brian Daboll. But Daboll knew how to coach Allen better. The Bills will never have a head coaching advantage in a playoff game under this regime.

Lamar Jackson as TV analyst? It’s logical.
QB Bills replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall
He can barely speak English. But then again, neither could Dan Dierdorf. You may be on to something here. -
Leslie Frazier "taking a year off from coaching" per Bills PR
QB Bills replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
Current job opening at OBD: Summary: Come in and be the face of a defense that you have no actual control over because it's run by the head coach, without saying as much to anyone. Qualifications: - ability to take misplaced blamed from fans who should know better - cover for head coach's idiotic and static defensive scheme - keep quiet and look around aimlessly when said head coach is wasting challenges and timeouts whilst figuratively $hitt**g all over himself in any pressure situation -
What kind of play do you get the most satisfaction watching?
QB Bills replied to Beast's topic in The Stadium Wall
Mine would be a big hit by a defensive player, like the one Milano delivered on Mike White this year. It's the best part of football, imo, and it's becoming a rare event. Which is good for the players but not so much for the viewers. -
Nonsense speculation from a talking head begging for attention
QB Bills replied to Nextmanup's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not sure it's more Dorsey than it is McDermott. He mentioned a few times that some teams are particularly offensively minded. Seemed like more of a high level criticism than anything. Can't say I disagree with him. -
Diggs interview with Dan Patrick on 2/10..
QB Bills replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
He sees every day what the rest of us see for 3 hours on Sundays. And unlike some of the other players on the team, he's in a place where he can subtly call out his incompetent coach. You win with a mindset like Diggs' and lose with a mindset like Clappy's. Optics be damned.- 79 replies

Of course this jackass never misses against us. But misses an easy one in the super bowl
-
I'm thinking Clappy threw the Bengals game with that god awful gameplan just so we wouldn't have the Bills in a Fox-broadcasted Super Bowl.

Counterpoint..people like the op and those who agree with him/her are the worst kinds of fans. If we win, awesome. If we lose.. it's okay it's just football, go take care of your family. Just the worst kind of condescending, gatekeeping bs that is the real poison . You're starting a thread complaining about other people complaining. Who's the real loser here? If a game doesn't affect you the way it does other fans, then why do you even need to post this here? Beyond that, wtf else are we supposed to be discussing here the week of the super bowl knowing that we could easily have been playing in this game? Some of you have perspective that you believe the rest of us lack. Nonsense, but you do you. Pat yourself on the back. Also know this though, if and when the Bills finally do win it all, it'll feel much better to those of us who are that emotionally invested in them compared to y'all in the level-headed brigade.

Threads upon threads upon threads but this is really what it boils down to. We have (in my opinion) the most talented QB in the league. What needs to happen before next season for us to all die (eventually!) happy? I'll throw it out there and say that we'll have to win big in spite of a coward as head coach. It can be done but we'll never have an advantage at the HC position in the playoffs. Barry Switzer did it so it's not impossible. My wish would be to kick Clappy to the curb and hire Ben Johnson but that's not going to happen. As such I'm not too optimistic about 2023. Somebody talk me off the ledge.

Was speaking generally. Not this play specifically. But he was good at creating mismatches. Small things like lining up a receiver in the backfield like he did with Nelson here, for example. He did that with Stevie Johnson often.
